I spent many years thinking about who is the better actor, Pacino or Deniro?

So many iconic roles and performances between the two.

It was with this movie that I finally came to the realization that Pacino was the better actor all along.

The sad part is Deniro actually tries this time, which he almost never does. Every 20th or 30th line he says slightly differently, like he's trying to sound Irish. Then he just goes back to being a Scorsese meatball.
Pass to Pacino, he broke out and can act.

I think Pacino could fit into any Deniro role without anyone noticing. I can't say the same in reverse.

Nah Deniro has(had) his own charm and style. I can't imagine Pachino in Casino raging bull or god forbid Taxi Driver.

De Niro overall. Al did it longer though. De Niro’s acting ability went off a cliff after 1991. Al still pumps out good performances. He’s one of the best things about Irishman.
