Jefferson, steve was too dull
The show became a live action cartoon when Jefferson arrived
Steve as an overall character
But jefferson was funnier and fit the dynamics of the show after Steve left
jefferson was TOO based for the show's good
I didn't care for the Steve years at all. The moment Based McGinley joined marked the moment the show became absolute kino.
no homo but the second husband was way prettier
>*The show peaked when Jefferson arrived
It was a question of alignment.
Steve aligned with Marcy
Jefferson aligned with Al
The moment Jefferson replaced Steve the show turned from Peggy/Al as the deadbeat couple vs Marcy/Steve as the straightedge couple into Men vs Women as the primary conflict.
Steve never played Aquaman for one episode just to be made fun by a character trying to get the show cancelled.
Jefferson. Steve was okay but Jefferson was funnier.
is this the show with the birds of prey talking about dicks
I liked both characters and they complemented Al well, but I have to go with Jefferson.
HE'S GOOD WITH A GUN
AND HE LOVES HIS SON
KILLED HIS WIFE CAUSE SHE WEIGHED A TON
HE'S PSYCHO DAD
For me it's Jefferson
Anyone else used to beat off to the show late at night. The reruns were on at 1130. Usually peg or kelly but sometimes marcy.
I love first season but I absolutely see the appeal of Cartoon in Real Life later seasons. So Steve is my man.
Jefferson of course. Did anyone ever prefer Steve?
What you mean by the show became a cartoon?
It's Steve's giant Jewish nose
Cartoon? Wtf???
I actually like the Steve years, his dead pan humor cracks me up. Plus his one line barbs tend to land well.
>Marcy
Dangerously based
Remember when they added a random child to the show
It was both odd and hillarious how attractive Jefferson was
Steve, how is this even a question? He was a gifted actor with excellent comedic timing.
Bait
jeffeerrson no contest
hes one of the best characters on the show
Jefferson was a piece of shit who was likable as fuck. A true friend to Al. Steve was a dour asshat who didn't realize he was an even bigger loser than Al.
This and checked.
I haven't really seen this show since it aired (and I was in primary school). What's the reason for Jefferson replacing Steve anyway?
Jefferson is based
The actor chose to focus on some drama iirc. I think it was Knott's Landing
So he took the knot? Sick bastard...
dude who played Jefferson was also Mr. Scream in Wayne’s World 2
*slow clap*
Pretty much /thread
>that one contrarian fag who insists that steve was superior
This is deep and insightful.
Peggy's actress was pregnant irl and they were gonna write it into the show. She miscarried and they instead made the pregnant peg/marcy eps a dream and brought in the kid Seven as a compromise. Everyone hated him, and he just disappeared, only showing up as a face on a milk carton later on.
and Al was the guy that owned the diner
I love the rabbit episode
I don't remember this at all
Kino
Steve played off of Al better, but we got Jefferson for longer. I'd say it's about even.
Linda Blair and Bobcat were Seven's parents.
You ever wonder how shows or movies would be different if actors/actresses couldnt leave or change? Like if she couldnt get pregnant and they didnt have to force add a kid what could change
nah bro always kelly
reminder that Seven was most likely brutally murdered
Wtf was up with that one episode that had nothing to do with the regular cast and was about two random guys until Al came in to steal something from them right before the end credits? Was it a failed pilot they just shoehorned into an episode?
this is correct
Jefferson is the rolemodel for every neet
Basically yes. It was also Matt LeBlanc playing pretty much the Joey character which was later in Friends. It's all connected.
He's correct though.
>Was it a failed pilot they just shoehorned into an episode?
They tried to create three or four different spin-off shows, this being one of them.
this show was so great
>Top of the Heap is an American sitcom that ran for seven episodes on Fox from April 7 until May 19, 1991, the most successful of three attempted spin-offs of Married... with Children (the other two being Radio Free Trumaine[2] and Enemies[3])
3 attempted spin offs. fucking hell
At the time people hated Seven but looking back it's a good metajoke that they added him and then removed him after a couple episodes.
For me it was Buck.
But which voice?
slightly off topic but 1986-87 the fledgeling fox network only had two shows, married with children and fucking WEREWOLF which was the most badass show ever and never released properly. WHERE-O-WHERE IS MY WEREWOLF!!!
Jefferson. Having Steve and Marcy be both no funs allowed characters was redundant.
Steve is the patrician’s choice
Steven was fun though.
>That episode where he pretends to be impotent after Marcy wrecked his Mercedes
>Just to make her be the perfect Stepford Wife
were steve and jefferson both in the episode where steve is working at a university?
No, Jefferson wasn't in that episode. It's also one of the spin-offs that they tried.
They were both in the pirate episode and the one where Jefferson works at the car-wash.
Steve= Simp
Jefferson= Chad
thanks. i recall the pirate one now but not really the car wash one.
What the fuck
