Is that how this ended?

I only liked the hot russian dominatrix lady.

>Is that how this ended?
Yes. The whole show is literally about a guy who was in a coma and he wakes up at the end. Very disappointing.

Told you s4 was shit

S2 was worse. You can literally skip S2 and miss nothing.

Yas Forums has gotten so bad I can't tell if you're trolling or genuinely this stupid.

Then what happened, smart guy?
>lol what happened didn't happen
>btw not gonna say anything :D
I think you're the one that's an actual RETARD if you are talking about a finale you haven't seen.

>Is that how this ended?
No, he's just retarded

What the fuck happened, idiots?

Elliott remembers his dad molested him
White Rose anheros
The congo project was a literal nothing
Last shot is the pov of the viewer opening their eyes in a hospital as Elliott

Falls so hard on its face in the last episode

The Elliot we know in the show is another persona. The real Elliot is a mild-mannered computer guy, with some fantasies of being powerful and doing something important. When he gets locked in a server room by coworkers, his brain creates the protagonist-Elliot persona to take over and take control of his life. In the end, he succeeds in everything he could have hoped to succeed in, and finally agrees to come down and let the real Elliot take over again. The real Elliot meanwhile has been trapped in a dream sequence loop (the wedding with Angela seen early on in the series).

Thanks you guys explained better than those long winded blog posts on websites with billions of ads

You're dumb as fuck. It's pretty clear the whole thing was a dream. Almost nothing from the main plot is explained, at all. In fact, everything happens just like magic as it would in a dream world and things turn out okay. Then, when Elliot goes into his subconscious, he finds that his real self was imagining all the events of Mr Robot.
It's pretty clear that him waking up at the end symbolizes the entire show was a dream. The alternative is that you watched an incredibly bad show that leaves almost all the important plot points unexplained and relies on magic tier psychology to explain even the most rudimentary points.
If you think it isn't a dream, please tell me
>what did tyrell see in the forest?
>why did whiterose refuse to kill elliot, when he ruined all her plans?
>what did angela see and what was whiterose building?
>why the fuck did whiterose kill herself?
I could probably come up with more, but feel free to start with those.
>inb4 it doesn't matter

everything actually did happen, the twist is that the elliot they showed the whole time was not the real elliot, but just another personality created to deal with shit. at the end, since he accomplished everything he needed to do, he allows the real elliot to wake up and finally have control again. so its the real elliot waking up as all his personalities merge into one

This guy mad

like fight club?

Mr. Robot is the worst show from this past decade which is extremely impressive considering it had the Newsroom and Walking Dead to compete with. Do the people that write this shit know that Fight Club came out twenty fucking years ago? Do they think they are being clever?

The joke is unironically a comedy. If you look at it realistically, it's basically the fantasy of a loser and those like him, and at the end they get fucked by the realization that all they watched was a dream and nothing could've happened in reality. All the villains are caricatures: E-CORP, Whiterose, etc.

I repeat my question. Do the writers, or you user, consider this to be intelligent writing?

You would be too if you watched 50 hours of something to be told it's just a dream and/or stop questioning unresolved and nonsensical plot points.

>what did tyrell see in the forest?
Unseen / unexplained. The point isn't the specific. The point was Tyrell being overwhelmed in the face of death. Previously this was supposedly proof that there was a multiverse and Tyrell encountered some sort of portal or something. Either way, this has nothing to do with your theory, because why would the Elliot at the end have been dreaming about Tyrell off on his own seeing something weird?
>why did whiterose refuse to kill elliot, when he ruined all her plans?
I forget the details but Elliot had something over Whiterose in terms of getting the move to happen, and also Whiterose as a matter of pride wanted to convince Elliot he wasn't mentally ill.
>why the fuck did whiterose kill herself?
Whiterose was mentally ill. He was a true believer and thought he would be reborn into a better world, even if he couldn't use the larger machine to safely transport many more people.
>what did angela see and what was whiterose building?
This is the true brainlet question. Whiterose showed Angela some marketing feel-good bullshit to convince her. Obviously she never showed Angela anything in practice (we saw why that couldn't happen), but she just needs to convince a psychologically-fragile Angela that the dead could come back. What about Angela's character has you thinking that would be some big feat?

I consider it to be intelligent writing to the extent that it convinced a lot of subhumans that they're watching a smart show that makes them better than others, even when they're watching an actual parody that mocks them.
But to answer your question: no. The writing in this show is some of the worst I've ever seen. Soap operas without any writing at all that rely on improv have more of a plot than Mr Robot.

More or less. Mr Robot being Fight Club 2.0 was never a secret.
youtube.com/watch?v=90Fpjwctqlw

How anyone watched this garbage past season 1 is beyond me. How much time do these losers have on their hands to watch 12 hours of bullshit capped off with some stupid mid-90s Keyser Soze m1ndfuck!!! that renders their time wasted. And jesus rami malek is the most insufferable actor working today, I'd call this his worst performance but this hack won an oscar for his even worse role in bohemian rhapsody

well we agree there user, pretty much the live action rick and morty

The openly admitted to it being fight club when they played "where is my mind?" in the first fucking season.

Threads like this make me pity mankind

>show about incel neet shutin that has sex with no problems
>its just a dream
That sounds pretty resonable.

>Unseen / unexplained
No shit?
>this has nothing to do with your theory, because why would the Elliot at the end have been dreaming about Tyrell off on his own seeing something weird?
For the same reason never even dream about being myself. Dreams are irregular. The only substantial takeaway from this is that the events were not grounded in reality and followed a dreamlike narrative.
>I forget the details but Elliot had something over Whiterose
He did not. Not only that, but leaving Elliot alive is literally what undermined his entire plan, so it was completely fucking retarded and made no sense.
>Whiterose was mentally ill.
Because you say so? I guess we can explain everything that doesn't make sense through mental illness, huh? What a nice show, when that's what's left. Some good fucking writing here.
>Whiterose showed Angela some marketing feel-good bullshit to convince her.
The facility was still real, and Whiterose built towards it for two decades. Nothing is ever explained about what it was and what it did. Even if you think it was some marketing ploy on her part, there's no reason to deny this to the audience. The reality is that they thought they would later have an answer, but never did, because they're hacks.
Your entire reply comes down to
>ignore it and just believe there was something there
Like I said, it was a dream. Either that, or you can admit the show is shit and makes no sense. Those are your only two options.

If I started making shitty nu-metal but said "shout out Fred Durst" before every song in my album, nobody would say I was making a worthwhile contribution to music

I used to read word up magazine

The show was not a dream. Elliot is knocked out in the Washington Township plant and the other alters use this opportunity to seize control from him. When the real Elliot wakes up in the hospitol he has, off screen been taken there by emergency services after the plant has a near meltdown.

The entire show happens. Elliot 'saves the world'. The only part of the show that's a 'dream' is the final two episodes which take place inside Elliot's subconscious.

God you're thick.

>>Whiterose was mentally ill.
>Because you say so?
Because he was a hysterical fag mindbroken by losing his boyfriend such that he decided he was, in fact, a woman, and just needed to blow up the Earth to connect the world's reality to the other universe where he is actually a woman and his boyfriend is still alive.

And yes, there was a real facility building what Whiterose really thought would transfer everyone's consciousness over into a new reality. Whiterose attempting to run the machine is part of the climax of the series, but the whole premise of the machine is that they can only show Angela the theory. This isn't some Leftovers story where they sent Angela to Universe B and she came back.

You just want to be mad.
>this ending I made as my headcanon makes no sense but it has to be true because it's so perfectly unsatisfying, why couldn't they have made a better ending? it's bullshit they made the ending this unsatisfying thing I had to make up based on two seconds of blue light and Angela being Angela

Do you think you're smart for taking what you're spoonfed and running with it?

Just because someone did it before means that you can't it do it again with a different approach?

>Did I misunderstand the plot?
>No! It's the show that's wrong.

Salt-n-Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine

I thought it was shit from episode 1.
You'd have to be an absolute faggot to watch this shit.
Would a dildo in my ass make me enjoy this shitshow? You guys would know.

>hysterical fag
He was not hysterical. So somehow he's too insane to know that his plan is completely irrational and his behavior is regularly misguided (like not killing Elliot) but this is the same person that perfectly subjugated the world to his/her will? Yeah, how about pick one and only one, nigger. There is ZERO evidence of Whiterose being insane, and the show is FULL of references to parallel worlds. Your transphobia doesn't make an otherwise highly-competent villain insane.
>>this ending I made as my headcanon makes no sense
My ending actually makes sense because it leaves nothing unexplained. Yours can't even explain basic plot points.

You realize that the intentions are the writers are irrelevant, right? We are going by what the show itself shows.

If the "it" that you're talking about are shitty narrative devices that were tired by 2001, then no you really shouldn't do it again, and I don't know what the fuck you are talking about concerning a different approach--nothing about the keyser soze twists are being subverted in Mr. Robot

>You realize that the intentions are the writers are irrelevant, right?
Yes
>We are going by what the show itself shows.
Yes

>it’s a show that basically does nothing but rip off other shows and a few movies
>literally has the saint elsewhere ending
>people miss this completely

The entire show was a dream. Nothing mastermind did was real.

Because the show ended when Elliot woke up at the end, the only conclusion is that none of the show was real.

Then the show shows that it was all a dream. It's that simple. The plot is completely unrealistic and nothing adds up, confirming it was a dream.

>but this is the same person that perfectly subjugated the world to his/her will?
Within the logic of the show, you might as well question how capitalism came to govern the majority of human life.
>have theory of the world
>convince enough people to rally behind you because they also want it to be true for their own purposes
>???
>PROFIT

>My ending actually makes sense because it leaves nothing unexplained.
The theory leaves nothing unexplained but doesn't explain anything, least of all itself. You just write off the whole series of having not actually happened, so that you don't have to rub your brain cells together to understand characters or accept that not everything in every story will be spelled out in retard-proof bullet-points (what happened to Tyrell??? was he actually Stannis??? he'll be back in the finale! that bearded Tyrell was the original Tyrell after dimension hopping!). You can't just write Whiterose off as "trans" and say you can't question it. Thinking you're a woman in an alternate universe and that you need to violently merge your universe with that true reality is not just some textbook transgenderism.

But the series was only ever about the Mastermind.

>This is Yas Forums's favorite show?
That'd be Twin Peaks
Oh wait that was also a dream

First season was great what happened robot Bros?

>see popular show
>force myself into hating it by making up dumb shit
>make thread on Yas Forums
Bravo, Yas Forums.

> hot russian dominatrix lady.
Who?

Closest thing to this description is Tyrell's wife.

>you might as well question how capitalism came to govern the majority of human life.
No, not really.
>The theory leaves nothing unexplained but doesn't explain anything
It was all a dream is pretty self-explanatory.
>brain cells together to understand characters
There's nothing to understand. Saying it's all insanity isn't an explanation, you dumb fuck.
>what happened to Tyrell???
He did not just disappear. So yes, what happened is important.
>You can't just write Whiterose off as "trans" and say you can't question it.
He was trans, that's all there was to it.
>Thinking you're a woman in an alternate universe
Because he was trans and therefore wanted to have an actual female body... There's nothing mysterious or insane about that, you goddamned retard.
>not just some textbook transgenderism.
Any transgender person would wish they were born in the right body, so again, you are dumb as fuck and also make no sense.
Your theories are shit and rely on the dumbest excuses.
>muh insanity
>muh knowing what happened isn't relevant
Literally the mind of a child.

This

I stop watching at season 1 and just think and say hmm I wonder what happens next

Did /ourcoop/ is also turned out to be tulpa/doppelganger? or something?

Yas Forums doesnt like Mr Reddit. We gave up on it after season 2. Only faggots that came to Yas Forums to talk about it like it.

This is a show for millenial and zoomer faggots that play trash tier games like WOW and LOL. That think taking a psych class makes them intelligent or have any fucking persona or depth to themselves.

People obsessed with Star Wars, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings because they are "popular" nerd culture, are the ones that care about Mr Robot.

This show was made for the most vapid and vain individuals. People with absolutely nothing going on beneath the surface of the facade they put on display for the world.

>It was all a dream is pretty self-explanatory.
If only people understood this in threads about other media.
>people think Breaking Bad wasn't a dream
He never shaved his head. He had cancer and he died. Everything between is his dying fantasy.
>people think Seinfeld wasn't a dream
Then explain how they get into all those wacky antics and how things just happen to work out perfectly with everything coming together in narrow themes?
>people think Mad Men isn't a dream
Don Draper was never in war or an ad man. In a moment of meditation, he dreamed up the whole "Don Draper" life we knew.
>people think The Simpsons isn't a dream
Just you wait until that finale. Homer's dreaming the whole thing.
>people think Uncut Gems wasn't a dream
It's literally just Howard having a stroke while watching a shitty TV commercial for African gems.
>people think Blade Runner 2049 isn't a dream
>people think Master and Commander and commander wasn't a dream
>people think The Last Jedi wasn't a dream
>people think Westworld isn't a dream
Name one thing left unexplained by all these stories being dreams.

Never finished the series. In the middle of the episode after the one on the doctor's apartement, I just turned off and never finished the show.

The difference being that I can't remember entire episodes of Breaking Bad that were then rewritten as not having happened in reality. This is standard fare in Mr Robot. But you continue to be an actual 80 IQ mouthdrooling retard that thinks it's more likely that a split personality "trapped" another personality in an MMO in their own head than the simple explanation that it was all a comic book tier dream in some guy's mind, which lines up with the last two episodes perfectly.

He wasnt in a coma, dipshit.
The character we thought was Elliot was actually just another one of his personas like Mr. Robot. The real elliot was pushed into the recesses of his mind while the Elliot we watched wrecked havoc to protect him. Did you even watch this shit?

You're confusing "likely" with realistic IRL. Is it likely (IRL) that Walt would completely blow out a floor of a building with a grain of fulminated mercury, while leaving everyone in the room unharmed? No, but that's what happened. That's the type of story Vince Gilligan chose to tell. I'm not going to write off the show as a dream because of that.

Mr. Robot is about the very unlikely scenario of a super hacker saving the world, but it also wraps up with the idea of the audience desire to fill that sort of role and how that sort of character is not a real person, but more of a fantasy , and eventually you have to come back to normal and stop trying to hack the planet. The multiple personalities in the show always operated according in a somewhat magical, overpowered sense. That's just a basic conceit of the show.
