Best Cleganebowl was the first one, in season 1
the hype around this show was fucking CRINGE
where did this new copypasta come from
I bet it's the guy that spammed something about his mom not being able to make him a cherry tart because of corona
>pasta
>two sentences
yesterday. some loser wants attention
Hal, it's about cats
retard
I can't believe how fast GoT disappeared from the face of the Earth. The world collectively tried their hardest to forget about that fucking abortion of a final season.
Yeah. At first I thought this was a Yas Forums meme but its true. Its like people are trying to purge it from their collective memory. Kind of weird desu
everyone still talks about the sopranos, boardwalk empire, the wire etc.. but GoT is being memory holed HARD
But the show was shit from season 5 onwards?
Achilles vs Hector was and still is the best choreographed Western Swordfight.
The only thing from GoT that actually had a satisfying conclusion.
what happened to all the s 0 y b 0 y s and fat girls with colored hair who loved this show? where did they disappear too?
Shows how much depth GoT has, the entire thing is just a soap opera with swords.
yah but normies only realized that during season 8
That’s true with literally everything in pop culture. End Game 3 billion dollars but who’s talking about it now?
How many years until they decide to do a remake of this show?
They have already consumed the product and are now in the process of getting excited for next product.
With a better ending*(forgot to add this)
If you were a fantasy fan, you could bare with it for a season and the wait for the next season made you starved enough to go for the next one. Similar to the expanse and sci-fi. That said I haven't watched the last GoT season and never will.
SHE is my queen!
There was always a faint hope of redemption with good episodes being sprinkled throughout seasons 5 and 6. Even season 7's clusterfuck of a rush job was explained away as a 'setup' for the grand finale. Season 8 was a fucking abomination though and in retrospect I was a naive fool to think it would be anything else.
themes are for 8th grade book reports
seems appropriate for the level of discourse on Yas Forums
People still talk about Infinity War and tons of other shit but "pop" movies.
About a decade after the books end. Which may be never.
there's a reason it was called /got/eddit
What.
>People still talk about Infinity War and tons of other shit but "pop" movies.
I haven’t heard the word “Marvel” in the last 6 months at least.
Goes to show how a bad ending can really tarnish the whole story.
the person who designed that helmet and armour should never work in this industry again, just terrible
Yeah costumes really went to shit after the first season.
It was ok, I guess.
It wasn't even like super-retarded-yougottabefuckingkiddingme bad, if it was then we'd still be memeing about it. It was just low quality hollywood bad with some isolated head-scratcher moments.
i never delete what i download. even if i hate a show/movie i keep it in my hdd. im a hoarder that way. got is the only show ive ever deleted. god it pisses me off just thinking about the time i spent watching it
Nah it was pretty fucking bad
>medieval water bottles and starbucks cups
>"Sit down Uncle"
>Peter Dinklage and Emilia Clarke looking like they had sniper rifles aimed at them at all times
>Brantron 9000
>*teleports behind ur main villain*
>"And who has a better story than Bran the Broken?"
>Truly they were a Song of Ice and Fire
I'd rather have no Cleganebowl than the bullshit we ended up with
>may be
it's 100% going to be never. first off there's probably no way he finishes it in 2 books, and even if he did it's taken him 10 years to write this one and he had a 300 page head start with cut material from the last book. even if he doesn't catch covid he's 73 and morbidly obese. he's not going to make it much past 80 if he even makes it there.
At last I've won the game of thrones season 8
Never been big on TV Shows and GoT has single handedly convinced me they're all a waste of time. I realise that's a pretty shitty generalisation but I realise now all the TV show format allows for is for the showrunners to churn out as much horseshit as they can from a profitable franchise (Simpsons, Walking Dead) or rush the final season so they can move on to more commercial bullshit (Game of Thrones, Dexter)
We need more people who actually fucking care about the TV show format
Just watch The Shield bro.
The last 3-4 seasons were basically a social media event rather than a tv show, nobody actually cared about the show itself, only the activity of watching the show. As with all other social media events, it was forgotten the moment it was over.
TWOW WHEN
GRRRRRRRM YOU FAT FUCK
DONT YOU DARE CATCH THE FUCKING VIRUS NOW YOU CONVENTION CHASING CREEP
WYMAN MANDERLY LOOKING MOTHERFUCKER
WRITE YOUR GOD DAMN BOOK
normies experience time on a delay remember? thats why they till watch shitty tv and use old memes, their brain can't tell.
And here's why that is a good thing
Of all the disappointments GOT brought in its latter seasons, none are greater than this.
Normies were too stupid to notice since Dragonqween was still meant to be the good guy
This, i gave up on the show after S5 knowing it would never recover. Instill watched most episodes tho and the finale was abominably bad
Basically every character got shit on except davos and sir Braum of the blackwater
Isn't it amazing how quickly D&D killed the cultural impact of this show? No one will even remember it in a few years, no one will re-watch it, no one will discuss it. It's just another dead heap of trash no one cares about anymore. It's truly amazing, because at its peak, GoT was the most talked about show on television, almost everyone watched it, and it became a cultural phenomenon, yet look at it now.
I wonder if they have accepted this yet, or if D&D are still in complete denial about how badly they fucked up the later seasons. Normies didn't even complain about the dumpster fire that was season 7, it wasn't until 8, the long night, that they really woke up to just how bad the writing, acting, dialogue and story had become.
There was just so much hype for this show, so much anticipation, and to see it all just evaporate in an instant the moment this shit-show ended was just glorious. The backlash they received had to have hurt their egos.
It reminds me of the new star wars movies too. Zero lasting cultural impact. Disney spend BILLIONS on the movies, but BILLIONS MORE on theme parks themed specifically for these forgettable, trash movies and characters that no one will be nostalgic for or remember in 10 years. Completely and totally culturally irrelevant.
Normies were still on board with it right up until the second last episode.
Realistically the show was shit after season 1
Disney has nearly killed half a century of Star Wars cultural dominance.
15 years absolute minimum
It was shit from season 2 onwards.
>That fucking tactic
Because plebbit tourists like yourself tend to overcompensate in a desperate attempt to fit in but ironically only make it even more obvious you don't belong here?
Also, compare Harry Potter to GoT if you want to think about how irrelevant GoT is today.
Harry Potter has a fucking theme park that is still the most popular attraction in that park, and possibly one of the most popular attractions in the state of Florida, more popular than Disneyworld. Despite the harry potter books having finished long before GoT even was a cultural powerhouse, its impact has been extremely long-lasting and is still going strong.
GoT has already been completely forgotten less than a year after the show finished, and GRRM will never finish the novels so people will eventually forget about those as well and stop giving a fuck.
And why would anyone care anymore? Even if the books came out tomorrow, I wouldn't even care anymore because the tv series has ruined almost everything. Yes, the story and characters are far different in the novels, but I just don't give a fuck anymore about this franchise.
>shits on source material
>>tries to be Hollywood writer filling in gaps they created
>surpasses source material
>Look mom, I'm writing dorne!
>absolute shit
they had it coming
>We have the best cavalry in the world
>Lets them charge into the dark towards an unknown force head on
>That's a good trick
It was so bad that not even modern day disney wanted to have anything to do with them. Freaking disney thought that they where too shitty! Thats like getting thrown out of the hood for being too black.
Watching normies go from YAAAS SLAY QUEEN to NOOOOO DONT CALL HER THE MAD QUEEN was KINO
>trebuchets infront of wall
>trebuchets infront of barricades
>trebuchets infront of infantry
Even the novelization can't save this
