It's like Black Mirror but its actually pretty good
Anyone watched it?
It's like Black Mirror but its actually pretty good
Anyone watched it?
watched the first episode it was so fucking boring, i will attempt a second episode tomorrow.
First episode is boring. Second one is better
Black Mirror may be pozzed but it's a million times more interesting than this show
>yet another sci fi anthology series
yawn
I need some cryptkeeperkino
Loop is aesthetically superior
But did you watch it?
bump?
Ep 4 was really disappointing because they keep on doing a drama show with scifi elements but don't actually make the scifi part of the plot, it's just a background selling point. Ep5 was good though.
this is Yas Forums no one watches anything
>muh Yas Forums tier aesthetics
go watch your shitty vaporwave videos you literal child
Electric State adaptation when
Fuck off shill. Watched one episode and it was tedious and poorly acted. The "twist" was as uninteresting as it was predictable.
>Pleb
Black Mirror
>Contrarian
Tales From The Loop
>Patrician
Love Death + Robots
Episode one is boring. Watch the others
Better than Blacked Mirror
>even the official posters are (digital) paintings
Wow this show must be fucking hideous
Just watched episodes 1-6, kinda feels like every other episode is about a character using wacky technology to cuck someone.
episode 4 was kino tho
not even close plebtard
Have never seen a worst opinion in my life holy shit. Love death and robots was 90% garbage
Did they really make a series based on that Swedish guy's art?
Yes, but unfortunately the production of it seems to have consisted of them saying "wow that's a cool image, how can we incorporate that shot into a boring love story?"
LD+R was 1/3 garbage, 1/3 OK, and 1/3 god tier kino the likes of which no anthology series has touched upon in decades
Watch the show first. Post later.
Just watched the first episode. Bit of a slow burn but a good story and great anesthetic. Hope it holds up.
>anesthetic
That slow, huh?
Aesthetic, also I'd describe it as Eureka meets Dark.
please go back.
I'm enjoying the Leftovers vibe it has going on.
OH MY GOD IS THIS ~~~~AESTHETIC~~~~ REDDIT “ARTIST” LONELY DREARY DREAMY THOUGHTSCAPE MOODBOARDARINOS? YESSSSSSS!!! DON’T YOU GET THAT THIS IMAGE IS HOW I FEEL INSIDE? AHHHH ARE THESE MY SCI FI INFUSED, DESOLATE, MYSTERY LADEN VISTAS???? MY MELANCHOLY STARKARINOS???????
This is dead accurate. The scifi is an afterthought to the milquetoast drama.
Hey man, I'm not a fan of the show either but this is some fucking cringe-tier shitposting
The first episode really hooked me despite so many people here saying it's shit. The series also gets sadder as it progresses(the ending really fucked me up)
How pozzed is this show? any interracial or homosexual relationships?
Wouldn't really call it pozzed or SJW at all, at least not more than Black Mirror or LD&R. It was mostly disappointing that they took what was essentially concept art for what could be modern-day Earth struggling to deal with a sudden introduction to advanced trans-dimensional tech, and instead used it as a loose storyboard for normal people dealing with normal drama while a few cool bits of technology sit in the background.
Give it a try though. Worst case scenario it'll waste like 45 minutes of your life and at least then you'll know you don't like it, best case you might actually enjoy the entire thing.
notice you avoided the fucking questions lmao
Only in episode 6, but the black guy is cucked so thats fine
Things are more paranormal than technologic
Alright
>any interracial or homosexual relationships
80% no
thank you, now I don’t have to watch that garbage.
>20% yes
hahahahaha
But the interracial relationship is realistic.
The nigga is cuck because the white partner is too attractive. Its funny as hell
>at least not more than Black Mirror or LD&R.
Considering the former is notorious for cramming in SJW elements to the detriment of the story, such as the Museum owner being a hilariously badly written cartoon villain or the incel episode running off so much dumb logic just to twist into preaching its message that the entire thing becomes essentially an exercise in how not to write a villain, and the latter visibly dumbed down its source material in its very first episode just to have an empowered woman character when the original managed to be more nuanced and interesting in less time, that's not saying much. Both of those shows tossed away good elements and dumbed down and simplified their writing the minute they had to write something they thought had "Meaning", which ironically have on the whole mostly been forgotten or in some cases the real world outright did the opposite at just the right time.
That's what we're worried about, did the show in its need to preach dumb down plotlines or make villains caricatures or cartoons just so that they could have a clear cut badguy who gets defeated like that recent Watchmen abortion?
doesn’t matter, its still subversive kike propaganda
Only in episode 3. They can freeze time but they dont rape anyone. I mean whats the point
Tales from the Poop lol
Based
Fuck man, just finished it too. As guy with close relationships with my father and mother the last one hit kinda hard.
Overall I would say 6.5/10 its okay. It's slow, but maybe 2 episodes where hit or miss for me. My main issue I have is the world they live in just feels too "fantastical" to relate to at points. Like there are weird cars, robots, and buildings in the distance, however its never fully embraced. It feels like the towns population is torn between acceptance of the impossible and at times, chooses ignore it. It feels like all this impossible shit is common to a certain extent, but instead of quarantining weird shit or have precautions to take care off said weird shit, people just fuck with it then they are met with a bittersweet/bad/good ending.
>Hmmmm a very dangerous piece of tech
>Just throw it in the woods/lake/field
>Hope it's never found
Like this shit had to be made in the Loop facility(but we never really spend much time there at all) and all these insanely dangerous pieces of technology just somehow make it out and get left around? Or does an "existence" just expose people to it for entertainment. Also, why are people so scared of robots? Is it just AI bad/uncanny valley?
I miss shows like Star Trek TNG that tackled stuff like if Data was a living being in a thoughtful, nuanced way that went out of its way to show that the one pressing to have him dismantled wasn't a caricature or a mustache twirling villain, he had legit reasons even if the audience would naturally hate him because he's trying to dismantle one of the characters they'd grown to love.
Hell even Captain Planet tackled stuff like gang violence by pointing out cultural issues and a sense of hopelessness being just as much of a danger to bringing kids into that lifestyle than any sense of poverty, and how important it was to recognize that and not let it spread.
Fuck, when Watchmen the comic came out everyone was sure it was going to breed a new kind of morally ambiguous, thoughtful villain who rose above the trappings of simplistic good and evil stuff and was instead more extreme, but you understood the line of thinking and wonder if succeeding in defeating him would be better or worse. Then there a small number were in 2019, watching a show that did exactly what was mocked ruthlessly in that legendary page.
Its fucking depressing.
>responses don’t realize the patrician choice is because it requires a patrician to be able to navigate LDR
Try getting black mirror: bandersnatch secret ending without looking up how to access it online then get back to me on how its pleb
Btw there were only 3 good episodes of lovexdeathxrobots
Good post, and excellent poster.
Overall, I really enjoyed LDR, but I’m still irritated on how badly they butchered the story of sonnys edge.
I thought the payoff for episode 2 in episode 8 was really, really underwhelming. Just a dead fish of a resolution.
The Gun allegory episode was about as nuanced a take I've seen in a long time even if I still don't agree with it.
Well hes licensing his work and making bank.
While you are shitposting.
How's that life workin out for ya?
>The Gun allegory episode was about as nuanced a take I've seen in a long time even if I still don't agree with it.
Which episode? I might read the wiki on that, I'm depressed that the unironic best "Dangers of gun" episode I've seen to this day is still an episode of Gargoyles. I don't know when writers had a collective program downloaded into their brains that made them write the dumbest and most simplistic yet flawed stuff whenever they feel like "Discussing gun culture" but I'd like that to end now.
How could you not know what episode? The one with Danny's father buying the scrapper to defend his house.
>How could you not know what episode?
I haven't seen it yet, that's why I was asking which one.
This is an anthology, isn't it?
Not a true anthology because it reuses established characters. Episodic to be sure though even with the continuity callbacks.
>Love Death + Robots
literally one good episode. the rest are mediocre or awful
>Love Death + Robots
Anything good gets a lot of hate on here. Niqqas just mad about spiderwife.
all i see in these threads are paintings and concept art. does any of this stuff happen in the actual fucking show?
Tyler Barnhardt and Duncan Joiner are relentlessly handsome.
