this kind of determinism is a stupid and stunted outlook. Changing your mind, changing your habits of behavior will change your immediate reality around you significantly. Making choices on how you spend your time and interact with the world will literally change your reality- why analyze if those choices are predetermined, it literally does not matter. Better choices lead to better results regardless, whether you actually have free will you still have to make choices and follow through. Choosing not to is still choosing.

But you can be in the universe where by pure random chance, unconnected to your attempts at magic, that things will simply randomly happen as if magic as you expected it to exist actually existed. That's incomprehensibly unlikely, but with infinity that doesn't matter.
