Why don't zoomers pirate?

it's harder to pirate on a phone

Wouldn't it be the other way around because the younger generations are the ones who were exposed to computers more would know how to navigate the internet.

They were exposed to smartphones, not the internet.

Zoomers are boomer tier when it comes to tech. They only know how to use snapchat and tiktok.

Kids don't know how. Streaming is so much more convenient to them and they don't really care about saving shit for later or even ownership.
Why do you think all these sharing thing is so big now?

They've been spoonfed since birth

I don't even know anyone who owns a desktop. Zoomers can't into computers, despite being born into their golden age

and eat pizza and be bisexual

They're on sanitized corporate as fuck web 3.0. They didn't get the internet, they got Google.

huh? I'm 19 and all my friends pirate shit and i've been doing it since i was like 8 years old. I have jail broken iphones, jailbroken firestick, jail broken ps4, pirate entire series and movies. Only reason i actually sometimes pay for games is that its easier to deal with steam and playing online. I tried to do a free trial at a random gym when they closed mine down but the guy refused to give me one because he knew i wasn't gonna extent passed the 1 week. I also buy nothing but replica clothes from china
>hurr that's just you
All the smart zoomers do this.

Yea I was talking to a zoomer about music and told him about this private tracker, easy to get in and he was like
>if I can't find it on yt then fuck it, idc

Streaming services are way more convenient and cost basically nothing. Way back pirating was seen as the more convenient choice but now it's more of a hassle to setup so most don't bother.

Not really. You can still torrent anything on a phone just as easily as you could a desktop. Zoomers are just fucking stupid and don't know these things exist. If it isn't on Steam, Netflix, Hulu or whatever they just give up. They are also the same people who literally think the FBI will kick their door in if they download something they shouldn't. Absolutely zero clue how reality works.

Stop hanging out with children

not really
and buy the most expensive coffee and be trendy with no care for money

because it's an early internet thing. When I first got dial-up internet in 96, I got it because everyone else who had it told me that you could get free porn, movies, music and games. Internet == free shit. Zoomers probably don't think that way

Because they're lazy user. Pirating takes investment and effort.

Zoomers only respond to instant gratification thanks to being dripfed dopamine hits from notifications since birth.

I'm a teacher and hate most kids

desu if you can't set up mirc to automatically pirate shit for you while you're at work you're probably a zoomer and should kill yourself.

they grew up when this tech existed. people who are now 30+ pioneered and are way more knowledgeable about computers and software

>Pirating takes investment and effort.
Holy fuck I hope you’re not actually teaching kids

They got the easy tech meant for boomers to get on the internet too.
Back in the day you'd have to do some registry fixing, make some bat files write some java lines or edit java script even if you were a not into IT at all but just using a PC.

how much cunny have you fucked?

>coffee

Stop buying avocado toast and purchase a house you stupid kids

>Download torrent client
>Find a hash or magnet link
Wow. Some investment.

maybe it has something to do with the fact that getting any movie or whatever takes like one minute and then you get on with your active life instead of joining a 'piracy community' lmao.
>Weirdly, my Winsock discussion usenet skews older.. don't the kids dial-a-line? hoho, they'll never make it onto the Web

"Boomer" LARP is retarded. Stop doing it.

He’s right though, I’m also a teacher and - comparative to what they usually do - pirating takes investment and effort. Even sitting still for the 45 minutes it might take to watch the show is too much. The unanimous opinion of all my kids is movies are boring, tv is boring

Yea but most public torrents that are not new/popular have shit speeds or they're dead.

Zoomers are dumb as fuck. They didn't get exposed to "computers". They know about smartphones, Netflix, and Tiktok. They want to watch a show? He needs to be able to click a button and it should appear. Anything that requires more effort would mystify the zoomer.

are zoomers really that afraid of being judged as a newb at something?

'member when user told you not to spoonfeed the retards in 06-09?
I 'member

It is compared to a streaming service

I know that feel bro.
They just don't care.
They can't be bothered to search on a site, everything has to be instant.

Everybody knows that people born after 1996 can't torrent

All they know is McDonald's, charge they phone, twerk, be bisexual, eat hot chip, and lie

Honestly, pirating looks embarrassing past a certain age, if you have a decent job, just pay for a streaming service and purchase films occasionally like a functioning adult. I just got Inherent Vice for $4 on the Apple TV app

For a zoomer it does take investment and effort.
They'd have to learn about torrents, figure out how that works, find the right trackers etc. And if they do, they then have to WAIT until they can use whatever they're downloading.

Even if by some miracle you manage to actually teach a zoomer how torrenting works, the zoomer will just go: "I have to wait until it's done downloading to use it? Bro that sucks, I want to watch it now."

Yea streaming is click and go.
Some clients will allow sequential download but start telling him that and you lost him.

zoomers are technically illiterate
>but they grew up with technology!
they grew up with smart phones, probably barely knows how computers and the internet actually works. they just swipe their touchscreens. people in their late 20s/early 30s grew up with computers.

2. Blonde and brunette

>I just got Inherent Vice for $4 on the Apple TV app
gr8 b8 m8 i r8 8

That is true. Finding reliable torrents for older anime is getting harder and harder these days.

I am user.
None that's illegal FBI
And still it's too much. A Zoomers brain is conditioned to take the path of least resistance every time. That means streaming, ownership of data/knowledge is pointless in a disposable world.

I generally pay for movies I want to see if they are available. The problem is that a lot of movies are simply not available for streaming.
And I refuse to pay for more than one subscription. Usually I dont bother pirating shows, because they're most likely shit anyway, but I do pirate movies quite often

Well what isn't boring to them? Serious question.

Okay, it was £5, that's $6

Not really, they were exposed to the already developed, ready-made version of the internet/technology where everything is spoonfed to you and right where you need it to be.

So they know Instagram, TikTok, Spotify and Netflix but are completely lost if they actually have to search for something that's not available after 5 seconds of basic googling.

Meanwhile even current Millennials had to deal with shit like browsing Kazaa for 1 hour just to find that one song they heard on the radio and dig through a pile of garbage in the process.

I just use popcorn time. it's a free to use streaming app that's basically like Netflix but better in every way

Not even that much effort
>download qbit
>get all the search plugins
>use the search bar to find 99% of movies without even leaving the client

GabeN was right, piracy is a service issue. By providing easier access to media than torrenting, the vast majority of people go to streaming instead.

Imagine being so NPC you pay for your propaganda. The most I will do is catch great stuff at the cinema after checking the first 15 mins of a dirty cam.

wtf I thought that shit died like 4 years ago

getting attention.
yes, i'm serious.

That is the problem for me as well. I also despise films with hard-coded subtitles, and this is the reason I refuse to purchase stuff like Koreeda's films on the Apple store

The more people that get into pirating, the greater of an issue it becomes for producers, and the more effort they will put into stopping it. Zoomers not pirating is a good thing.

Same, I thought they killed all the easy streaming services

This is actually a great showcase for the theory of decadence and lower expectations leading to decay. They dumbed down computers to make them accessible and now the people who should be the most savvy are less so than their predecessors. You've gotta love the information age when things like this can be observed in real time instead of over the course of centuries. Let anyone who still thinks we should coddle people with tax dollars bear witness to this consequence. Only hardship can teach.

>he streams YIFY rips
you do relize bit torrent protocol supported sequential download and streaming since at least 12 years ago
so pretty much any torrent client supports streaming

I used torrents a lot when I was a teenager, today I can afford media, and now using torrents just seems extremely fedora-tier to me

Surprisingly no, it's still fully functional and you can even watch anime on there now

Attached: 1586076200368.jpg (896x1024, 200.27K)

or perhaps, as the sea of offenders diminishes, you will be more easily picked out and prosecuted.

candy crush doesn't teach you how to use torrents

I only pirate visual novels so I don't support trannylators.

zoomies don't have the low time preference to wait for anything

I live in Slavland. Everyone here pirates.

>if you have a decent job
so why wont zoomers pirate lol

You know what I hate about movie pirates? For some reason they all prefer HD5K Blu-Ray 50GB. Why the fuck would I want to waste more than a few gigs on a single movie? Seed the 720p shit some of us can't afford a warehouse full of HDs

people are more tech retarded than they were 20 years ago because at least 20 years ago people sat down and read the manual

I'm just scared of getting a virus desu.

>Private tracker

We're talking about getting things for free...

If a streaming service that actually had a good catalogue of movies existed I wouldn't pirate at all and would readily pay for it.

The movie selection is absolutely garbage on Netflix. Especially if you want to watch anything from before the turn of the century

Post favourite tao cops pl0x

>Zoomies don't have a stack of harddrives full of torrented media for when SHTF and the internet goes out
>Zoomies just have a SSD so they can stream faster
Never gonna make it

do you go out of your way to pay to send a text-message too?

Kids don't use computers, they use phones. It's an issue we talk about in IT a lot; nowadays everything is very streamlined and efficient so kids don't have to bother learning whats cracking. I guess f2p gaming means less pirating too.

zoomers have already been brainwashed by the corporations

No. It still depends on how you use your time on the internet. Like what other anons have said, a lot of people just use the internet for social media 90% of the time.

Before social media was popular, the internet was filled with nerds doing the gatekeeping at some lenient level where they at least pointed you to the resources you're after, but not totally spoonfeeding you. So faggots like me still had to read on stuff like how to get around wordfilters on Yas Forums, how to googlefu, to a moderate hacking of consoles following guides step by step. That whole gatekeeping thing kept the community good and learned.

Fucking this. It's the same with anime. Every individual episode is nearly 1GB these days because everything just HAS to be 1080p. It's fucking ridiculous.

>friend wants to watch The Mandalorian
>"but I can't afford to pay for Disney+"
>"so just pirate it, all the episodes are available on most torrent sites"
>"nooo... I don't want to do that, I don't want to steal, I'm just gonna wait until I can afford it"
but paying for 5 different streaming services to watch 7 shows is not being robbed, be a good little consumer now
I bet he actually doesn't know how to do it, for someone who grew up with computers, he sure is retarded about how to do literally anything with them
