He'd better. I've had a shit last couple of days and Better Call Saul tends to be the highlight of my week anyway.
The last two episodes were utter kino, and Bagman has been hyped even beyond that from the very beginning. It'll be one for the ages.

i liked the first season of BB. Im in the second right now. I can see why people hate his wife but the rest of the show is pretty uninteresting. Does it get better when the Better Call Saul guys show up?

It does but if you think it's bad so far, you're not going to enjoy it going forward.

Yeah stick with it. Saul Goodman is a very good character, even in Breaking Bad.

Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, El Camino, Fear The Walking Dead, and The Walking Dead all take place in the same timeline.

how would Gene and Mr. Driscoll react to the outbreak and how long would they survive?

Anyone else surprised we've only had one cold open flash forward to the BrBa timeline. It seems kind of out of place if it ends up being the only one.

lmao Odenkirk is like 60. I bet he got absolutely GTFO

This is a problem they have with a lot of the cameos too. Like Gale, for instance, who has only been in two scenes so far. For those who have never seen Breaking Bad, not that there are too many, those kinds of scenes and characters seem really weird and unmotivated.

I'd imagine Mike in general would seem very jarring if you've never seen BrBa, even though him and Jimmy's connection is established early on in BCS.

lalo actually snapped his arm off and they had to use the backup clone of Odenkirk AMC had frozen a decade ago

whats so jarring about an 80 year old jamesbond who likes pimento?

I feel like the only person in the world who feels like this show should have been 2 seasons, s3 and 4 really feel like they have been treading water and vince simply does not want to leave this world he's created, and is creatively squatting in it with this show and the BB movie. he just can't let go.

Nah, season 4 was kino, season 5 has been great as well so far. There's a case to be made that season 1 did not have a true identity and thus caused season 2 to course correct a bit, but I've had no complaints season 3 onwards if I'm being honest.

but like
did we really need an entire B plot about building the superlab? is it really worth bringing back gus for these fairly mundane cameos after that mindblowing final shot of him half exploded? what is this show adding to the lore of the BB world? Saul and Kim are the most boring, flat couple, I just don't get how people find them appealing together. And Saul has just been dicking around doing random stuff that doesn't feel like it escalates cohesively.

nacho's actor is also really eager to carry big scenes but he just does nothing for me. the people around nacho are doing a way better job

season 1-3 shouldve been 2 seasons instead of 3. the pace has been good this season so far

>Saul and Kim are the most boring, flat couple
Disagree entirely. I think there is a lot going on there and I find them to be the best part of the show actually. Pretty sure that's the general consensus for most people that watch the show too.

i have no idea what you all are seeing in kim and saul's relationship that i am not. kim is just so boring, i will never get why people like her

I'm not sure why you find her so boring. I think her deciding to stay committed to Jimmy after all his baggage and shit he's done in his past is super wholesome and makes her character interesting to grapple with.

whatever you do, dont pull on Kim's ponytail

Attached: kim_ponytail.webm (1422x800, 3M)

but what is her arc? she barely emotes, she is just kind of passively existing in the show, there's barely any trace of the Kim who did the scam with jimmy to get some free drinks just for fun way back in the beginning. as i said it feels like the show just started spinning its wheels and not really advancing any greater plot for like 2 whole seasons. the superlab subplot is very dull and there's no twist to how it concludes. it's just something for mike to do so he's in the show. kim's actions feel the same way, as do nacho's. they are just treading water so the director can stay in his world a little longer. S5 is picking up at least though

I've enjoyed Kim's arc so far this season. She is clearly having a moral dilemma regarding how she should move forward with her relationship to the law and thats reflected in both her profession and personal life. In season 3 we find out she perceives herself as Atticus Finch, a figure of justice. And understandably this identity has seen her unravel in corporate life. She can't compartmentalize undermining the little guy in one aspect of the law while simultaneously advocating for them on the other side. This has been interesting for me to see play out. And then we come to the relationship side. Kim has always seemed like the person who views the law as a litmus test for determining right and wrong. And yet we see that when Jimmy bends the rules so as to play both sides and get away with it, she's extremely aroused by this idea. Again, its another trait I've really enjoyed seeing the show explore.

no one cares what you think 12 yr old

why not? won't she like it?

Attached: ponytail.webm (480x480, 2.57M)

>She is clearly having a moral dilemma regarding how she should move forward with her relationship to the law and thats reflected in both her profession and personal life.
she's been having this same dilemma for literally like 3 seasons in a row

In different facets sure, but when you're in a relationship with Jimmy McGill, something as complex as this won't just resolve itself overnight. They are both enablers of each other and although it's a very wholesome relationship it's a toxic one too. Season 3 Kim was moreso about finding a work life balance then it was comprehending the ramifications of law ethics or lack there of. Season 4 Kim's story revolved around finding work that is fullfilling and embracing the idea that perhaps she and Jimmy's talents could be combined to gain a leg up on the traditional lawyer approach and season 5's arc has already been outlined above. Plenty of very well written shows have had characters whose fundamental traits 'spin their wheels' as you like to put it through the span of the show. Females that immediately come to mind would be both Skyler White and Carmela Soprano. Their fundamental moral dilemas stayed with them more or less through their respective shows duration. You're entitled to your opinion, however I'd warn against being overly dismissive as a general rule when it's comes to some of the writing in this show.

Skyler's maintenance of her status quo was more like pulling a wire more and more taut until it snaps though, and her actress definitely sells that, Skyler's arc goes a lot of different places.

I guess maybe Kim's arc just feels like, too subtle, to the point it's just not that compelling to watch, idk. I feel like there's no edge to her personality that makes her engaging. She's just... Kim. She has a smoke. She sighs. She says a few words to Jimmy with a distant shot of them leaning against a wall or whatever. They do this over and over and nothing seems to change.

at this point I only want gus to kill nacho's dad so that his story will finally fucking progress jesus fuck it's been two consecutive episodes that he shows up for like two minutes just to cry about his father to mike

they really want nacho to be cool. like, they REALLY, really want nacho to be cool. they are desperate, for you to think nacho is a cool and deep character.

Is this not one of the core thematics of the show though? Characters are shown to be creatures of habit. Chuck tells us this outright in season one. People don't change, they are one and the same tied to their identities.

Sure, but that doesn't necessarily make for engaging television. There is very little of Breaking Bad I would consider 'skippable' or not worth rewatching. Maybe on a rewatch I might skip halfway through The Fly or parts about Skyler and the car wash. But I could never rewatch BCS, there's just not enough going on

And this is where we have our divide. I enjoy seeing the character drama unfold and seeing characters grapple with minor tweaks here and there that result in their actions. Admittedly this is not for everyone, but I think we've determined, or at least it's become more overt to me why you seem to have a hard time enjoying the show. And that's fine, I really enjoyed having this exchange.

this show is fucking embarrassing

literally nothing fucking happens and even the actors know it.

Attached: 1586092208627.png (1536x2048, 2.98M)

personally, I think he's a good written character, cocky wannabe gangster realizes he's a dumb fuck and he's in deep shit and wants to get the fuck out, but he's stuck between a rock and a hard place because of his dad's pride and moral integrity and also because of his admittedly shit luck, seeing as every choice he makes sinks him deeper in that huge pile of shit he's already into
he stopped being cool in S1/S2, they don't want you to think he's cool, they want you to pity him by now because he turned into a pathetic little pussy who can't do shit but cry about >m-muh dad every minute he's on screen
and considering he's never on screen his arc is going fucking nowhere
make him PROGRESS, GOULD
kill his fucking father

Faaaaag

don't worry, kim will lose her 'perfect idealized girl' status and devolve into a 'realistic independent woman' like skylar

>it's not just me
>even odenkirk can't remember what the point of this show is
ha ha

You're retard. Your pic literally implies that so much stuff happens that even the actors can't remember what exactly already happened.

What’s supposed to happen tomorrow that has everyone so hyped?

Reminder, the majority of actors on the show that's considered the goat, the Sopranos, did not know what was happening outside of their own dialogue, including Edie Falco.

Apparently it's Vince's self proclaimed directorial opus

>Vince why are we shooting this scene?

>New episode comes out on my birthday
Nice

His dad is almost surely dying this season. He already said he's not leaving ABQ under any circumstances, that's more that enough of an indication he's a dead man walking.

So I’m assuming you can remember every single thing you’ve done at work in the past five years, user?

Attached: 57E88B1A-69DD-4EEE-9802-313A4DEB3ABA.jpg (492x524, 192.28K)

Can we expect any brilliant symbolism in the new episode?

Attached: 8a3d41_5785251.jpg (1246x701, 136.59K)

even when on breaking bad he seemed to live script to script. hes a great actor so it doenst really matter to the audiance

Saul's introduction scene is brilliant, immediately after hearing Lalo wasn't behind his kidnapping his attitude changes 180 degrees from begging for his life to dicussing with his clients on even ground.

I think I've seen you write this before. Season 3 was the peak of the show.

should I watch BB before BCS?

Different user. I feel like season 5 will end up being better as a body of work than season 3, although admittedly Chicanery will probably not be topped.

>considered the goat
>sopranos
It is in the conversation sure, but there is no goat.

I'd make the case it's almost necessary to do so.

No, the fan-service won’t make sense if you haven’t seen BB, but watching BCS first won’t affect how you view Saul in BB since his character on that show wasn’t written with any of this backstory in mind.

I disagree, I think the Sopranos set the bar and has been chased after ever since

This only works if you're a Chad. In that scenario a non-Chad is getting arrested for assault and the roastie will be on talk shows describing how an incel almost raped and murdered her.

I meant yes

How did chicken cause explosion?

he stuffed it with jet fuel

Holy shit there is actually civil discussion in here about really fundamental differences in preferences without anyone calling each other a faggot.

but jimmy is a loser and he puts kims' ass to sleep

thanks

then why did she show him her belly?

god, won't be too soon

faggot

Breaking Bad only gets good after mid season 3. Then its pure kino all over. Dont jump ship.

Jimmy gets Kim wet by incorporating her into his scams.

Biggest brainlet on this thread

Because she wants jimmy to nut in her womb like s2.desu-usergeneratedcontent.xyz/gif/image/1504/79/1504792321043.webm

in b4 kim shows up in the last one

Season 2 is the best season, the only one with good character development for both Walt and Jesse and no meme characters like the cousins or the nazis.
