Women just don't play a part in the narrative of the world story. A couple do, but for the most part they don't, therefore they have no fucks to give about the narrative of any other story. They are side characters in life, supporting roles, an occasionally they get to star in their own story, but are much happier as support. Another reason why most healers are women.

I grew up in a house of movie lovers. My mom loved movies, both my sisters and my dad. I can't remember once when we didnt have shit like robocop, predator or aliens on. My sister watched the christmas story as a little kid so much she wore out the tape and my other sister can recite all the alien movies by heart. I remember still one of my sisters boyfriends saying he wasn't a movie kind of person and my parents were both shocked about it.

I guess just because of how I was raised, I never understood this "women dont understand moviea" sort of deal. Its the main thing I ask a chick when I start dating. Whats your favorite movie, ya know?

My gf and I discuss films every time we've watched them. She just sees them as a fun time, or as a social experience, but she does entertain my autistic need to talk about them and I like hearing her perspective on things.
She knows that I know a lot more about movies than her and she perceives that as a bit daunting, but she puts in effort to discuss them anyway and I love her for it.
I do have a female friend though who LOVES films. She even went into film school for it. We routinely discuss films and have a good time. She also happens to have another friend who had an internship under Francis Ford Coppola (or someone close to him, can't remember), so I assume she likes movies as well.
I think the people on this site don't get out very often and as such have a narrow view of the world. Maybe that's just me.

Can't say I have a lot of female friends but the ones I have and my sister always just browse their phones during a movie or show. This can ofcourse be normal for zoomers in general but I can properly discuss movies with most of my male friends so there does seem to be a pattern.
