Quigon and Obi Wan were maybe but ultimately the jedi were too full of themselves and had lost their way which is why the sith had to come in and gain power for awhile. That was the prophecy. Anakin came along and brought balance to the force. They just misinterpreted what that meant. Then the balance was thrown off again when the sith gained too much power and luke brought about not just the return of the jedi but the return of the TRUE jedi. Then Disney came in and fucked everything up but as far as I'm concerned the real storyline ends when the franchise was sold.
