Just watching the review by spookyrice, made me sick

It really is overrated both as "extremely distributing" and "deep". Violence is so campy that it's not much more disturbing than a Tarantino film, and political commentary is surface level.
Much better film is rusaian "Green Elephant" which starts out funny and gets actually pretty distributing by the end. And it's commentary of army is interesting.

I guess it depends on your level of desensitization, though even if you're not used to gore, the movie isn't all that graphic. Early on it leads you on that it wants to be shocking, by halfway all the edgy shit is more cringy than shocking. Movie is pretty boring though, would not recommend for that reason alone.

It's fine. I'd be hard pressed to call it "disturbing" because at a certain point the depravity becomes cartoonish.

Its real, but just kind of disturbing. You have to put yourself in 2010. Most people on Yas Forums had seen similar horrors: decapitations, rape, gore, blah blah. However, for the average horror fan, it was pretty frightening.
Ten years later and the rest of the world has mostly caught up to Yas Forums's levels of desensitization. Mass shootings shocked the nation 20 years ago. It's just another day in 2020.

Replying to myself -- I will say this, the final line is perfect for this film.

It's not really disturbing, just edgy for the sake of cheap edginess to the point that it feels like a parody.
