I don't understand The X-Files' overall lore

I don't understand The X-Files' overall lore.
They spend like 5 seasons trying to expose a pact between a human syndicate and a group of ayy lmaos, then everything is forgotten and they start fighting agains human/alien hybrid super soldiers (???).
Mulder gets kidnapped then he comes back and he claims he now knows The Truth. Will he tell us about it?
"No".
And the original series ends.
Then, in the reboot, they claim the WHOLE syndicate/alien conspiracy was a lie and they start another one...
Also, Mulder sister's was kidnapped by aliens but really no, she was kinapped and raped by a human maniac and protected by aliens.
Also, there's literally hundreds of different monsters of any kind roaming the Earth, never to be seen again by anyone?
Also, there's like 10 different kinds of alien forms roaming the universe, never interacting with each other.
Also, the black liquid?!?!
Also, God and the Devil literally exists, and so Heaven and Hell.
What the fuck.

Please respond

This is all true, but it compensates in how fucking comfy it is, especially 1-5. Repeat to yourself it's just a show, and you should really just relax

>and you should really just relax
never been able to do that
I really envy but also hates people who can
I need to have the whole canon lore under my grasp or I screech.

Sorry man. It does bother me a little, but X-Files got kind of shitty later on, so just as I pretend that doesn't exist, I pretend the internal lore makes sense. All you really gotta know is Mulder and Scully good.
I do really like the idea of all the monsters they didn't kill/capture still roaming around though, or maybe it's like a maintenance thing where they have to come back every 10 years to keep Bigfoot under control

This was the original "we totally have a plan guize" but-the-writers-were-actually-making-it-up-as-they-went-along show. And since they kept getting renewed for more seasons combined with real life actor drama, shit got more and more convoluted and ridiculous.

Congratulations for feeling the same way about the show as every other human being that has ever watched it. The first 5 seasons are pure kino though

reminder that cancer man literally did nothing wrong.

>cancer man literally did nothing wrong.
Didn't he send Krycek to literally die of starvation in a siberian prison?

This. It's Lost, except the self contained ops don't suck as often.

because x-files lore is shit, the only episodes worth watching were always the monster of the week ones

The appeal of the X-Files isn't some deep theory about the lore, it's about the monster of the week episodes and the lore episodes making no fucking sense but seeming like they might mean something to somebody. The lore episodes are good because they make you feel like a crazy conspiracy theorist who is putting together more and more outlandish clues
>huh, now we've got a bunch of killer bees, makes total sense!
It's nonsense, but it's comfy nonsense.

Why do you post like a reddit nigger?

90s born queers were a mistake

What's your favorite episode? Mine is "Wetwired." X-Files is kino and I've been watching since it aired.

>X-Files is kino and I've been watching since it aired.
>it's a dishonest zoomer episode.

Ask me a question about X-Files, you fucking faggot. I was watching TV before you were even a squirt in your daddy's nutsack.

>ask me a question so I can look for an answer on Google and pretend I'm an expert so I can... brag on Yas Forums?
That's just sad

I think you are better off watching Fringe for that then, is 90% consistent to the overall plot, it seems to have a "monster of the week format" but they are still nearly all of them adding a piece to the overall puzzle that is the plot and the characters, beside they make it clear there is a larger problem lying in the background from the first episode.

Dayum, now I kinda feel like rewatching it, but is still almost too fresh.

The demon baby one. Felt like a solid "inspired by" Twlight Zone without being a ripoff.

>I think you are better off watching Fringe
Fringe used to be kino and I loved it with all myself. Then they started dedicating way too much time to the love relationship between the faggot from Dawson's Creek, Olivia and Olivia's doppleganger... boring.

I dont need to since i actually was watching it back in the early 90s unlike you zoomie.

>Dayum
Are you a nigger or do just play one on the internet?

jokes on you, I'm a 80's born queer

>expose a pact between a human syndicate and a group of ayy lmaos
HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHWHAHAHAHAH

>HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHWHAHAHAHAH
is everything OK, kid?

ive watched the x-files through like 5 times and i still don't fully understand what the fucking myth arc is about, it's all over the place

Did you stop watching it during season 3?

I like the way it sounds in my head you double nigger.

What? That was the point from season 1 to 9.

90s born queers were a mistake.

Becoming an infomercial for cellphones didn't help

>faggot brackets
>capitalising for emphasis

I was born in 1987.

>Did you stop watching it during season 3?
I don't remember exactly. When did they start shoveling the love tringle down the viewers' throats? 4 or 5 episodes later I stopped watching.

Kill yourself reddit nigger.

Do you need help?

this is why you don't watch television, dummy. It's a waste of time because each season is made with no consideration of future seasons and then they just have to make up something new on the spot.

is there a single show that's not like that?

>posts on Yas Forums
>doesn't watch tv
it's like poetry

X-Files mytharc lore is infamous for being self-contradictory nonsense. Don't even try to make sense of it and just enjoy the ride.

who hurt you and why did make you so insecure?

>who hurt you
go back tourist.

b5

>is there a single show that's not like that?
Twin Peaks

if you have the impulse to post 'what am i in for' when you start to watch a show, then you don't really want to watch it, you want socialisation. so just drop the redundant part

>Lynch dropping in the middle of S2 because forced to reveal the killer

The Honeymooners

>want to talk about show with others for the purpose of socialization
>watch show
do you have autisim? what is wrong with that?

>Reboot begins wih Mulder shocked that the whole alien conspiracy wasn't real
>But he should've known that since 2012 came and went, as original series ended with him 'knowing' the invasion (or something) was coming then.

Imagine being this much of a bonehead

>talk about show with others for the purpose of socialization
that's a fucking sad retarded reason to watch a show. like that's one of the most pathetic things i've ever heard. Are you one of these people that says god, i hate the late night shows so much but i watch it because otherwise i won't be 'up to date' with pop culture and i won't be able to be a cool guy at my work talking about what cardi B did..?
i don't think you deserve life

Miniseries.
It starts, it ends and has more time than a movie to dwell deep into characters.
Also Fringe

Was a ''reboot''?

Buuuut, the whole first season goes on about 'the pattern' (or something similar) which turns out to be...?

lets be honest the show should have ended with Season 7 Episode 11 - Closure When Molder finds out what happens to his sister
i mean that was what he wanted

Just act like the reboot never happened. It's better that way.

you are delusional, who said anything about hating it? obviously you would like it or at least find it interesting enough to discuss, again I'm pretty sure you are on the spectrum

>Was a ''reboot''?
Actually no but it was marketed like that to pander to retarded zoomies
So it's both a continuation (Season 10 and 11 of the original run) and a reboot (Season 1 and 2 of the reignited series).
It's retarded but when zoomers are involved you can't expect things to make sense.

Best to just pretend everything after Duchovny left the show is a Dallas dream.

i know right, it's is kino

First
I got to see only the last few seasons only the ones that appeared Robert Patrick and well, then I saw that they would do more seasons and apparently it is a "reboot", but they never mentioned about the reboot, I only saw some chapters of the new seasons

Attached: david-duchovny.png (288x614, 241.98K)

For me that is explained in episode "Os", ah even Wikipedia has it basically
>Walter .... realizes that the only reason the osmium-lutetium alloy became lighter than air was due to his own transgression into the parallel universe that has started to break down the laws of reality.
the pattern was caused by Walter's action, that made it possible for many impossible things to be developed, also you could add that there were many factions fighting amonst themselves
>people trying to fight Observers
>Observers
>Random crazy scientists that aided by this breaking could realize their crazy ideas
>The other side
>William Bell even if his supposed initial actions seems to make more sense in the new reality rather than the old one for the long term.

Is not perfect, the last season I think is a bit rushed, but it overall works better than many other series.

Oh... N

Doggat wasn't bad. He grows on you. Same for Scullys replacement. My only beef was the reboots and how terrible they were at destroying everything that came before it. Like majority of reboots do these days. Look at Picard for further proof.

Is it me or the thumbnail makes him look like he is blinking?

WOAH, DD is jewish?!?

X files mytharc is garbage and its successor shows develop mytharcs better. Watch it for the motw

Also doggett >> mulder
>Doggat
Lmao

its first wave black box bullshit

never expect anything from from mystery box bullshit but a mystery box that when opened contains only a pile of dogshit

Attached: 1563843271988.png (210x206, 58.72K)

don't sweat the details because there are a lot of lies and misdirection in the show

essentially :
>aliens made contact with the government
>task force was created to manage the contact info
>turns out the aliens are planning to colonize the planet no matter what
>the task force decides to collaborate in other to protect themselves
>also they want to create alien-human hybrids which will survive the colonization (supposedly)
>other alien groups try to intervene, sabotage or just fuck this plan up
>the collaborators predictable meet their ends due to scheming
>the aliens are still out there, still want to fuck things up but their plains are unknown

The mood saves the show because everyone is dead serious about all this and is constantly bartering for more info and one-uping each other as to what their role in the plan is.

Essentially it was the LOST of its day, except not an ensemble cast gig and Mulder and Scully had peak chemistry.

No shows have a ciherent plot throigh the first few prewritten season arcs. After that they become a vehicle for the cast and crew to keep getting paid and nothing more, they exist from then on to trick their sunken cost captive viewer base into watching ads.

X Files did a 180 and discontinued the elaborate conspiracy plot because Jews are in ci trok of most stuff and starting to understand that they technically represent a conspiracy, re incidentally destroying covilization through self interest and they have primed people to see this and blame them by writing vast elaborate conspiracies into media.

>My only beef
Nigger

reeeeeeeeeeeeee

fringe is 10x worse than xfiles with plot holes and plot lines that go nowhere
