Of course but it had a woman as the main character so Yas Forums hates it.

The opening 30 minutes are better than the combined running time of every other television show or movie released in the last 10 years.

No.
The first 40 minutes are pretty good. But it's like they didn't know what else to do so then they just repeat it again but worse. Film's trash. Singing praises for it just outs you as a tasteless pleb

Yes, and it had no right to be.
>reboot of an 80s movie around the same time of the shitty failed Robocop and Total Recall reboots
>muh body, muh choice initial plot
>shaved head Charlize Theron
None of these ended up affecting the movie in a negative way. It was legitimately great

No, it's poorly written schlock that does nothing particularly well and that's praised by the type of fedora-tipping dipshits that love upvoting internet comments

>does nothing particularly well
Are you disabled? Go back to watching capeshit, kiddo.

>The opening 30 minutes

I thought the flashback stuff was godawful. That said I liked the movie, but the ending portion generally bored me, got too predictable, action got less fun and more generic. The way the story wrapped up didn't impress me either.

i like these lads

Yes, unironically largely because of the strong female characters and feminist undertones.

It kinda felt overproduced IMO works for the first 5 times you watch it but then you notice the lack of charme of it.

Are these lads, or actually women that ruined that place?

No, not a perfect movie. An 8/10 or 9/10.
Movie has 2 problems:
1. Tom Hardy. He's insufficiently mad.
2. The action (and soundtrack) peak too early
Still in top 5 action movies of 21st century

They’re the dudes who were abandoned by their mothers as infants all because they had a penis.

ok

Good movie but not close to being an all time great. Solid 7/10 flick

It doesnt just hold up after five years. It’s gotten better

Thunderdome was better.

>”WE ARE NOT THINGS”
>Imprisoned but treated well and with access to nice stuff
>Meanwhile, Max is used as a living blood transfusion

Yes very good and Tina Turner was so cool in that movie , but I prefer the 1st movie , but more because of the visuals and landscapes and story line. And also Fifi Macaffee was super cool boomer

The first part of Thunderdrome is MM, then is apocalyptic goonies.
I watched it as a kid because it was the only MM I could watch on TV. Re-watching it was like a cold shower.
The first part is still great tho.
Fury road is a jewel tho, few new movies are this soulful.
The second is more iconic and influential but the 1st has something going, a bit like Dawn of the Dead: we see bits of the immediate pre-apocalypse and we can believe it happened from the way people react.

Yes, yes it is.

>so Yas Forums hates it.
Wrong, redditor

Correction OP.

>This is a genuine 10/10, right

All novels, movies, songs, etc should be referred to in the present tense. They still exist as they did when they were released.

Let me guess, you just watched it on ITV2

Huh, maybe that's why Max sympathized with their cause

Yes the second is full mad max theme , the 1st has that dystopian vibe like Max Rockatansky had a dream during the night , the all movie looks like a night dream for me , like a mix of good and bad things. I really like the movie and consider my favorite .

But yes the second and 3rd movie capture more the Mad max theme

nah not a 10/10 but is really a kino action flick
the feminist theme is fucking shit but you can overlook it easily although you dont see too many feminist films where a strong wimen get obliterated by a moster truck and some of the were hot

Shaved head Charlize Theron is a positive though.

Sad that’s the only great part of the movie.

Fury road is a 9/10. Great movie.

Road Warrior is a true 10/10

>According to production designer - Colin Gibson, the Crow Fishers are a remnant of the Vuvalini system. In order to keep the matriarchy safe, the Vuvalini would banish the boy-children to the outer swamps of The Green Place. When boys reached puberty they would be visited by the Vuvalini only for sperm milking and the odd ritual of family. As such they survived by stilt-walking the ooze and fishing for crows on the muddy mangroves between The Green Place and the desert.
So the boys who got abandoned all survived while the mothers all died out to 4 people.

user, please PLEASE have sex

imagine if halfway through Die Hard, john McClane met a buff snarky woman that beats him up, then starts doing everything cool for him. Wouldn't that be better?

>that scene where they spend precious water in middle of desert to wash their cunts

Fuck this movie

>Still in top 5 action movies of 21st century
gimme top 5

The overly digital, processed, sharpened look bothered me and the movie loses steam after the storm. But it's got a very unique energy with amazing production design all around. I love all the little quirky moments, like Rictus going "moo" after drinking milk, "He looked at me!", and that guy appearing in Furiosas windows when she goes off course.

Also I'm usually a soundtrack buff but was a bit surprised how badly it holds up out of context. It's got a few great, recognizable short sections like the flaming guitar player, but for the most part it's just very screechy and fatiguing and gets tiresome after just a couple of minutes.

this movie was kino
>womyn try to be independent
>need man's help all the way through
>fail almost every time
>lose the security and structure of men
>kills woman and child
>wastes all the water

lmao amazing film

I regret watching it. Legit one of the worse movies ive seen.

Why?

It makes completely sense, dipshit.
They are incredibly pampered and have no idea what's like out there.

Someone posted screenshots of it without the stupid yellow filter and it looked so much better.

It all seemed to revolve around stunts and effects. Ill admit, it was fucking awesome, no doubt. But movie was just boring in my opinion. Hardy didnt even have space to show his acting, instead he was in a god damn mask the whole time. The whole chase seemed prolongued just for the runtime. Thats my opinion.

>posts normie Yas Forums chart
get out

sure

yeah man kurosawa and herzog are way more mainstream than adam sandler flicks
just end yourself

what are some good Kin-n-n-n cof * cof *
Sorry what are some good movies you suggest ?

>starts doing everything cool for him
they start working together because it's their best chance at surviving. max lets furiosa do some stuff (like use the sniper rifle) but furiosa still lets max do stuff of his own. and after their initial mistrust over whose side they're on is dealt with, they never give each other shit over ther abilities, let alone their gender. max and furiosa's relationship is unironically the most feminist movie in the 2010's and nobody noticed because they were gunning for fucking ghostbusters and captain marlel

judging by early promo stills the movie was originally designed to look grey and dour, then at some point they decided to amp the color instead of removing it

Attached: 1B6uQGns.jpg (600x402, 79.47K)

They noticed or at least did not bitch because miller hired "feminist consultants" or some shit.
Since he knew he was dealing with idiots he set up everything to do not have HIS story shat on.

>Legit one of the worse movies ive seen.
>Ill admit, it was fucking awesome, no doubt. But movie was just boring in my opinion.
I'm confused.

Nah, hardly any plot. No particularly memorable performances, besides 'Isn't it a lovely day!'.

Well if you compare them to the previous trilogy then you are about right

>tfw your sperm will never be milked by a gang of warrior milfs
feels bad man

Pretty close. One of the best action movies maybe ever made

>Ill admit, it was fucking awesome, no doubt
I said that regarding effects and stunts, not movie overall. Excuse my english.

It was 8/10 but after watching 2 again it feels like a retread of a story already told and it's weird without mel
