I finally watched The Rise of Skywalker. It was a fucking mess. What the hell were they thinking? What an awful way to end the Saga. And why does Rey calls herself as Skywalker at the end? I didn't get that part at all

ignoring character deaths and that stuff, the end of the last movie is where the first movie should have been by the end. why the fuck was the main character a mystery box for the whole trilogy? it's almost criminal. 30 years of waiting for sequels and the product is something that could have been written better by middle schoolers. embarrassing.

It was the last thing she needed to take from the franchise. Cementing her as the only reason things happened.

And Jenny would totally defeat Megan in a lightsaber battle.

The movie didn't provide all the fucking answers I was hoping for. What's the point of this trilogy?

Stealing someone's legacy. They should be ashamed of themselves

Rey is Luke and Leia's daughter. That's why they showed up as ghosts

i didnt like how the force got turned into some super power. i liked it when it was more nuisance. the whole movie felt disjointed.
didnt like it.

That's bullshit. I doubt George Lucas would be proud of incest relationship in his franchise

Rey stole literally everything she has from the OT.
The name was just the fuck you to people that didn't accept her

Because she married luke and took his last name

>What's the point of this trilogy?
No one knows including the writers

Because JJ Abrams thinks entirely from an audience perspective instead of character perspective. Rey adopting the Skywalker name makes sense to him on a thematic level, but it makes zero sense in the story.

The new trilogy is a schoolbook example of what happens when you tell multiple writers and directors to just make up some shit on the fly without any bigger plan.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Hollywood will learn anything from this disaster.

Oh, I think we do know.

How about the fact that we got all the way to the start of the 3rd movie of the trilogy before the three main characters actually shared a scene and developed even a shred of chemistry.

HEYYY HEYYYYYYYY

Of course it's a business after all. But they should've hired a competent directors and writers. Even a film by David Lynch makes more sense than this whole trilogy.

I understand why they're forcing this bitch. She is neither likeable nor charismatic. She is one the reason why this trilogy is painful to watch.

I assume you meant you DON'T understand.

Either way, don't worry, they'll probably start pushing Brie Larson in Star Wars, too.

Haha I won't even torrent or stream this shit that's how bad it is

Hey I'll take some cheese boobs at least as opposed to thining man hairline and grimace

>and grimace
Has anyone counted the times she actually closes her mouth during the trilogy

Can't be many

It reminds me of the soi smile.
Despite the memes, the soi crowd do it because they can't pull off a natural looking smile, and I assume Daisy does her grimace for similar reasons.

To be honest I kinda enjoyed the first of half of it. The rest of the movie is just some random gibberish

What would you call this type of acting?

It's called "nobody's gonna notice because they'll be too distracted by the lightshow"

>present tense
it's finished dude. It's over it's gone. there's no such thing any more

what the fuck. This is behind the scenes surely

Too bad doesn't movie doesn't feel that way. It was an unfinished mess.

The whole sequel trilogy is just one giant nothingburger.

For real though how the hell did she got the biggest role in Hollywood? Her acting is mediocre at best

She gave JJ a good blowjob, apparently.
The official line is that they wanted to ape the OT as much as possible, so they cast relative unknowns.

coffee isn't good for you

>Rey calls herself as Skywalker at the end?
They needed to call this 9-movie collection "The Skywalker Saga" to sell box sets. It's as simple as that.

>And Jenny would totally defeat Megan in a lightsaber battle
I doubt that. She looks out of shape

Is this a star wars thread?

Attached: unknown.jpg (1267x559, 122.39K)

>biggest role in Hollywood
>SW is a big deal
no one cares about your dead boomer franchise, bro

murderer

relax user, she said she feels guilty. she is a nice girl

Star Wars is still a popular franchise. And some literal who with substandard acting getting the lead role is unconvincing

This is painfully accurate.

That way they could name it Rise of Skywalker and intrigue fans into the theater.

That girl is unemployed now.

OnlyFans when?

I enjoyed it while watching it, but it's the only Star Wars movie I've ever seen that had absolutely no lasting impact, either good or bad. It came and went and retroactively turned the sequel trilogy into a shrug - the potential of TFA and the controversy of TLJ were all for naught because in the end Disney was fine with releasing something that wouldn't anger anyone, but wouldn't excite them either.

It's a redpill on the incompetence of Hollywood. Disney was given the reigns to the most successful franchise in history and they didn't even bother planning the trilogy out - they had 2-3 years of pre-production after buying the rights to build an outline and 2 years of revising scripts between each entry, and yet they made it up as they went along. That might make sense if you had some long-running series like ASOIAF but they shit it out (+ 2 spin-offs) in a mere 4 years.

>Of course it's a business after all.
It's more than just about making money. They tolerated KK pushing identity politics for a reason, even knowing that it wouldn't be as profitable.

Well duh no ones going to Disney theme parks during Coronavirus. This guy is correctWomen only value is camvids atm so pony up girls

What do you expect from Hollywood these days? It's not surprising that they'd insert identity politics in one of their popular movie franchise

Most based poster on this space station.

I mean, it could be.

'Rise of Skywalker' is such a fanfiction-tier title.

Soooooooo any updates on megan?

>why the fuck was the main character a mystery box for the whole trilogy?
Because she was a mystery box to the writers too. They had no idea what to do with her and were making it up as they went along

>

shit? amateur?

jj: "who is rey? who are her parents? make sure to watch the whole trilogy to find out!"

rian: "her parents were nobodies. sure, it could play up the angle that you don't need to be destined like luke to become a hero, because anybody can be a hero in the right circumstances... but i'm mostly doing it to subvert your expectations."

jj: "REEE, SHE WAS ACTUALLY A PALPATINE ALL ALONG"

oooooooooooooooooooooh noooooooooooooooo

why does she do that with her eyes? i thought it was supposed to be the glare from the lightsaber, but she seems unbothered by it. wtf is this?

is she using the lightsaber as a flashlight? could explain the straining to see something

she might be looking for something, but it's still weird that she squints her eyes like that so late
