The Shat, my nigger. Any day of the week. Picard's cool, but so is Kirk, and he's played by someone cooler.

Archer

So, you learned to play the flute once, eh?

Attached: KirkSS.jpg (525x469, 61.24K)

>Yes, the skin flute, Kirk. Does that bother you, bigot?

Attached: pattyStewart.jpg (1140x655, 451.93K)

Kirk. Rewatching TOS and the movies recently settled it for me. Picard in the TNG series was good, but get past the flanderized memories you (and the Bad Reboot writers) have of Kirk being an alien-fucking loose cannon, and he’s actually a spectacularly competent captain.

Kirk is a based xenophobic xenophile violent pacifist.
Picard is a reddit basedjak personified

Picard > Sisko > STD Pike > Archer > Kirk > Lucius Malfoy > Janeway > Nu-Kirk
Now call me based

Not really a choice. The worst Shatner gave us was The Final Frontier. The worst Stewart gave us was First Contact, Insurrection, Nemesis, and the shit show called Picard.

Picard was a far more clever character.

Kirk is just action man.

Yes. The whole meme about how Kirk is some loose and blunt frat boy is bullshit. He's intelligent and has exceptional social skills, where as Picard is diplomatically skilled but not particularly social.

Have you ever tried Spock's beans?

Much like Mike versus Joel, you would have had a difficult argument twenty years ago but now one of them has settled the argument for us

>row row row

>implying first kino isn't the best film in the entire franchise
Cringe.

>The worst Shatner gave us was The Final Frontier

I think you mean best

>calls spock a subhuman mixbreed traitor from a race of traitors and shames him for racemixing with a full human.
Kirk was based beyond measure.

>Star Trek: Die Hard
It was definitely the best TNG had to offer. It was still a shit film that even ripped of scenes from Alien.

Fuck off. Angry Picard calling Worf "a coward" was the most cringe thing I've ever seen. And fuck Patrick Stewart for going along with it.

I guess it’s good if you have selective brain damage that deleted all your memories of the seven seasons of television leading up to it, and all the character development therein.

>going along
Stewart always wants to play action hero and likes fast cars. That's why we had a fucking dune buggy in Nemesis. The guy's ego is also responsible for the abortion called Picard.

FPBP

Shatner here. I choose myself.

Kirk is a chad, can't really see a Frog as a chad, tho Picard is probably the pinnacle of Froghood

hey Bill I heard you had the coof, how you doing bro? should we be worried?

Based Shatner. We love you, Bill.

Final Frontier is a great movie.

We all know the real answer.

left, it used to be a discussion but post picard absolutely left. Both in terms of the actors and characters

the shat
how is this even up for debate

kirk obviously

Shatman all day, it's not even close

literally Chad vs. Virgin
you know it's true

Kirk>Picard
The Shat>>>>>>>>>Pat-Stew
Kirk will always be the standard in Trek.

Both but for different reasons. So fuck you, OP.

that's not a picture of Bones

This user knows.

Insaneway, Kirk if I had to choose.

>muh tng movies ruined picard

Fuck off.

>claims patrick stewart or picard is worth anything anymore
>posts the show that proves that both are worth way less than kirk/shat

what did he mean by this?

>spaceship
>it looks like a bathroom appliance
OH NO SCIFIFAGS BTFO

borg tiddies

Kirk > Picard
Steward > Shatman

The last one is a tough call I know bc I love myself some Shanter, but PStew is just too damn funny at lampooning himself and he’s had a solid career outside of ST

I mean considering they're the sole inspiration for show picard, they absolutely did. Thank you Alex Kurtzman for showing us that patrick stewart never understood or cared about star trek, and thank you personally for being allowed to fail upwards so spectacularly

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME

Kirk always.

TNG movies were a godsend! without them we might never have been blessed with Mr Plinkett

>mounts your chair like he mounts your mother

The original chad.

>First Contact
Come on, it was good movie.

The Shat shit pots on Twitter and /tv while still slaying pussy IRL. And he's in his 80s! The man is a real life hero.

Someone post the frog.

eh the only thing first contact has going for it is its effects, the story is meh and it ruined the borg

Actor, Shather
Captain, Picard

Tng picard

It had some good elements like the Enterprise E, the soundtrack, the new uniforms, the focus on Picard, Data, and the Borg, the time travel story showing how humanity achieved warp travel, etc. At the same time the film introduced the Borg queen and thus destroyed the concept of the hive mind. And it made Picard into a completely different character then we were shown in TNG.

Attached: 1580978568650.webm (1690x720, 2.6M)

Always annoyed me as a kid we didn't see the Battle of Wolf 359 in TNG. The opening of FC was fantastic for that reason alone. A legitimately great Trek movie and the only one from the TNG era that can stand alongside the OG 6. For the most part, they really were a missed opportunity.

What is the fucking point of a borg queen? That never made sense to me. Here you have a trillion minds all in tandem capable of brute forcing virtually ANY calculation by sheer mass, and you completely invalidate that problem solving ability but putting one person in charge and not just using the collective to decision make

Attached: 1580978633808.webm (1690x720, 2.5M)

hey its why last time I watched best of both worlds I watched the prelude to DS9 where we saw a bit of the battle

She works in the movie in isolation but the wider ramifications of her existence undermine the Borg's unique villany. By the time Voyager comes around they're reduced to just another 'enemy of the week' to such an extent that an even deadlier enemy, Species 8472, are introduced.

>When Jerry Goldsmith's original Klingon theme momentarily plays.
Absolute kino.
