First four season are kind of bad, movie is good, then it gets progressively better up to like season 12. It maintains a great quality up to season 16, then it gets progressively shittier. The most recent like 2 seasons are good again though.

It was long before that. Once they started making every episode about ONE particular pop culture gaff and introducing it in the first 5 seconds, sometimes haphazardly, sometimes out of touch and very rarely, actually funny.
There was a stretch of formulaic episodes where I would find myself saying "what's it going to be this week?" every damn time and that's when I dropped it completely.

normally id agree since i think first 5 seasons of south park are the all time best. But season 12 had classics kike Canada on Strike, Major Boobage and Tonsil Trouble. The first real bad episode was Super Fun Time and the Obama episode cemented nu South Park.

Talk about soul vs soulless. Season 10 might have been where they went off track with the pop culture nonsense. Of course there are good episodes every now and then after season 10 but they really took a dive in creativity.
