it was a pretty aimless generation

The Social Network kind of is, but it focuses so much on the Harvard campus you don't notice as much.

I'm sure they will become more common as we move further into the 20s and then 30s

They're coming this decade.

name one person hotter than her

Spotlight was.
The 2000s just don't look *that* noticeably different yet. Give it another 5 years, once people start exaggerating the fuck out of the fashion and decor.

Ladybird?

Ladybird is set in 2003, but apart from tv mentioning Invasion of Iraq it's not really apparent

can't

there literally is a bunch where they are going after Osama in Afganistan and shit

shes a perfect beard

Exactly, 5-10 years, once were all wearing rags and living in semi apocalyptic squalor, a look back at the early 2000s might seem pretty 'comfy'.
Tbh though the last 20 years have been pretty unremarkable culturally.
No major new music movements or fashions, mostly just a postmodern drip feed of corporate 'rebellion'.
90s makes for a great movie setting as you had decent music, fashion and no internet.
I don't think showing people sat in their rooms , listening to Gorillaz whilst organising a Habbo Hotel raid would make for an inspiring movie experience, though it is one that should probably get made.

Maybe something about a bunch of scene kids that all meet up in a park because the internet has gone down and they can't go on MySpace.
A kind of coming of age thing where because of the drama that unfolds they have to slowly ditch their MySpace personas and reveal the real them.
Use The Lost Prophets heavily in the soundtrack for some marketing controversy.

Because of your image.
White Chad and Stacy dominated the early 00s.
Hollywood hates white Chad and Stacy.

Little fires everywhere is set in 1997, pretty comfy.
Sure 2000 kinos will come in a few years.

there are, but most of them are set in Afghanistan or Iraq

better call saul

Like right now?

Jesus those fucking cum gutters

Early 2000s will soon be getting the 80s and 90s treatment.

Strokes biopic when?

Ya dude, we gotta get it out of there

Early 2000s fashion.

Kek

This is unironically a good idea though

This is the only early 2000s movie we need right here. Perfectly captured the feel, its like a time capsule.

The Big Short is a mid-2000s period piece

I used to think Vin Diesel had huge biceps when I was a kid. Now I have bigger arms than he did in this movie and I started lifting 8 months ago.

Never back down

Strokes aren't interesting enough for a biopic but they are the best band of the 21st century

That's a good fucking answer.

Is it true that his ex-girlfriends can't work at MCU?

Dropped

You can really specify the year by what kind of phones the characters had in 2000s. It’s the most defining thing of the decade.
>2000-2004: Nokias
>2005-2007: Flip-phones (specifically the Motorola Razor)
>2008-2009: iPhones and Blackberries
>2010+ : iPhones and other smartphones

>Tbh though the last 20 years have been pretty unremarkable culturally.
>No major new music movements or fashions, mostly just a postmodern drip feed of corporate 'rebellion'.
Holy shit you're retarded. Do you even seek out new music or pay attention to modern fashion?

not being able to appear in comic book movie adaptations for children, what an absolute tragedy that must be

Because early 00s was a shit period.

Me

you haven’t refuted anything so far

>but they are the best band of the 21st century
While I think you’re right that only shows how bad the 21st century has been for bands. The strokes are like a 7 - maybe an 8 - out of 10 band when you compare them against every other musical artist.

they were together? I thought he only had ricci before the mcu deal

There's been too many music movements in the past year, let alone the last twenty. Acknowledgement of fashion and the fashion industry is due to the internet.

I generally agree that they are an 8 out of 10 band, but Is This It is a 10/10 album. It captures a feeling of malaise without being self-indulgent or whinging, which is incredibly difficult to do as an artist. Room on Fire was a pretty good follow-up and everything else is good, reliable rock and roll.

When you talk about the sound of an era, 2001 and its periphery is essentially The Strokes.

true, earn 4 million dollars for movie and have millions of advertising benefits from it
no one will really want that, will they?

Evans looks a random suburban guy. His looks are above average, for sure, but I don't know why people act like he is a greek god.

Fuck philly

BCS is only a period piece because it has to be given its a prequel to a show from a decade ago. Outside of the cars and phones there's basically nothing in it that's particularly relevant to the early 00s.

i dont care shes a mutt, i cant forget about her since Sin City
