It's a ripoff of Breaking Bad without the dark humor which got made as a vanity project to keep Bateman happy so he would make another AD season.

Everything about it looks like soulless brba rip-off. And nobody discusses Netflix shows because of the terrible release everything at once strategy. Shit gets discussed for 2 days when it drops then instantly gets forgotten. It completely kills the water cooler effect where you want to catch up on a show just to be able to discuss it with other people as a shared social experience over long periods of time. Everything Netflix makes is disposable.

I did think it was funny when she tricked the guy and his mom into business with Marty then guy starts arguing with his mom so she's ran over by a dump truck in the most comical fashion. I watched the first 2 seasons as they came out. S1 was good enough, S2 was just bland, so i didn´t know what to expect from S3. Turned out to be a pretty decent quarantine watch.

If you liked season 1 because it was a grounded show about a money laundering accountant and felt that season 2 was an overall shitty but somewhat enjoyable watch, then season 3 probably won't be your cup of tea. Season 3 is much like season 2, where the show compresses everything that made the first season an average TV show until you're left with some of the most completely lacking in subtlety, banal melodrama I've seen on Netflix. Comparing this to Breaking Bad makes no sense, because Breaking Bad is everything Ozark isn't. In Breaking Bad actions have consequences, and things can happen for very subtle reasons - detail is important. What you should really be comparing season 3 to is Riverdale, because season 3 feels like it was written by the Riverdale writers. Shit just happens for no reason, and half the things that people in season 3 say or do are forgotten within the next episode. Ozark Season 3 is literal dog shit and anyone who likes it can suck my cock.
