the snydercut is unfinished, it's all in scripts, half shot scenes, missing vfx, storyboards, animatics, etc...The studio also most likely wants a single continuity rather than the already messy timeline with spinoffs they already hav.e

The 2017 Snyder Cut IS done and complete and the mass public is fully aware of it because of the multiple verified accounts with millions of followers tweeting about it. Like it or not, The Snyder Cut has positioned itself into pop culture history.
Snyder is also getting the opportunity to add more footage to his film, hence why it's been rebranded as Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Snyder would have to do some serious dick sucking to get it released. It wouldn't be financially sound, especially with what is happening right now. They gain nothing by releasing it except for appeasing a very vocal minority that will die down a year from now.

If that be the case, the movie originally came out in 2017. For mainstream audiences, its already out of their mind. For the ones clamoring for it now, I'd say 1/3 will stop caring by the end of the year. I don't see it making back the money needed to justify it being released. Warner Bros doesn't need Snyder anymore. They got a successes in Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and with the Joker they've shown they can do solo stuff adequately and make bank off it. Birds of Prey was another stinker, and that would make me stray away from recalling or bringing back those mistakes in to the light again after people forget.

It wouldn't make sense for WB to return to anything Snyder related since their current course has had less bumps than when they were with Snyder. It might be nice to see Snyder's vision come to the light, and if it does that's great but it'll only be for the die hard Snyder fans, and I think WB just moved passed them already.

I will say that it's sometimes good to let director's have full creative control while other times, it might be best to have *some* sort of check and balance, even if minor.
Take pic related for example, someone asked Snyder why there were air bubbles in JL instead of underwater speak like how Aquaman did and this was his reasoning.
I mean it sounds interesting and would have been very neat to see how it would play out, but most people - Snyder fans included - have agreed that this may not have been one of his better ideas.
