Legend of the Seeker.
Sam Raimi, only 2 seasons, literally perfect.
what's it about?
they're fuckable all the same mate
why should you care?
Why are dragon husbandos so rare in film? The only one I can think of is Draco from Dragonheart.
so it's about tits?
its the classic farmboy saves the world trope, but with some lesbian bondage thrown in
Thunderbolt fantasy
>some lesbian bondage thrown in
Is that so?
They don't want more people to turn away from their fellow humans in favor of the superior glorious draggos
witcher
when i watched the trailer i thought : ok, that's it. an trust me if the script were 4/10 i would have watched it. but i couldn't bear such a low quality screenplay any longer than 15 minutes.
what about Shannara Chronicles? has anyone seen it?
It's not worth it.
I have, it has a few good points like the Wizards but the MTV teen romance bullshit kills it, 80% of the cast are models.
I want a draco bf so badly bros
ok thanks.. any other shows with dragons, wizards, powers, etc.. and possibly set in the middle ages?
Dragonheart
for the 18th time? i literally grew up watching that movie
>Oh this looks like a nice fantasy series based in medieval europe
>the hero is a mutt
dropped

>SEE

Has anyone seen Shannara Chronicles? I've been meaning to check it out.
...
this kino
yes they werent shy about spending money on it, $15 million per episode.
based.
Based.
Fuck's sake. Shoulda checked.
I'm surprised we aren't swimming in cool fantasy shows. There's loads of great older, campy ones like Xena etc. I think it's a problem of the genre's tendency for medieval stasis. In the same way that most sci-fi shows have goofy ridged aliens, every fantasy show is peasants and castles.
Imagine someone doing a full blooded fantasy show set in the classical era of a fantasy world... all the shit like elves dragons, goblins and orcs but there's a fucking Grecian hero and interferance from gods. Full on high-drama insanity.
Just realised, all I want is them to do Xena again. Lucy Lawless has still got it,
>any other shows with dragons, wizards, powers, etc..
Thunderbolt Fantasy has all of those.
>and possibly set in the middle ages?
It's fantasy chink middle ages.
its sad that good fantasy shows are rarer than Unicorn shit, there's barely any.
I've been recommended Monkey from the 1970s but it looks old as shit, is it worth it?
There was an user who used to post webms from pic related all the time. I haven't watched it, but it seems very low budget and also chinks larping as european fantasy archetypes look ridiculous, but maybe it'll suit your tastes.
>Thunderbolt Fantasy
not my cup of tea. i'd like something with actual actors etc
I'm in.
Plus that's Gimli in the back
only worth watching for the spanish chick
The Dark Crystal AoR. Seriously, give it a chance.
The Dark Crystal
>The Dark Crystal AoR
i like that neverending story atmosphere.
so far my favorite tips are SEE , legend of the seeker ams this one.
Dragon Lore: Curse Of The Shadow

There's that Dark Materials adaptation. Have neither watched nor read it, so I couldn't tell you how it is.
Also, when is the Wheel of Time series coming out?
Mythica, its not a show but 5 movies and for a low budget is worth a watch.
>its sad that good fantasy shows are rarer than Unicorn shit, there's barely any.
Shits expensive to make, if your filming something set today, or even in the future, you can just rent out an office block and buy props from regular retailers. Where the fuck are you gonna get 100 swords and a castle from?
Europe has shitloads of castles, that isnt the issue.
>shitloads of castles
I live in Ireland and there's castles fucking everywhere, the issue is that the one's in good enough condition to film at are scarce and expensive to rent out in any real capacity
I sure hope they don't cut that part out of the Wheel of Time adaptation.
Cutiepatootie girls couldn't save it. I really wanted them to. Fucking hell that show was a disaster.
Germany has castles to spare that can fit the bill.
