Can Americans really drink a beer and then drive afterwards? Aren't there laws that prevent drink driving? I always see American TV characters go to a bar and then drive home.

Just have to not get caught. Took me 20 years before I got popped for my first DUI. Pretty expensive, desu
Same. I used to drive home drunk from work every night. I called it autopilot because I would head to the bar and wake up at home. Never got caught.
It's one of those things where it's pretty fucked up but everybody does it. If it was the mid 90s or some shit I could MAYBE understand driving if you've had a few drinks because you don't want to sleep in your car, but it's the easiest shit in the world to just call a fucking Uber and get driven home, so no excuse anymore
You can drive after one or two beers
An experienced drinker like Marty doesn’t get drunk after one beer, it’s not a big deal if you’re smart
Surely it depends on wether one beer will put you above the legal limit? Which varies
yes we're usually fat which gives us a higher tolerance
Shit, I drink while I drive home. I molded out a cup holder in my center console so I can keep it out of plain sight.
you can drink 2-3 beer and be perfectly capable of dring safe
