This is the wiki picture I saw that Im going off. WIkipedia says that K2 is 8km above sea level. Sea level is quite a bit lower than the plateau we see it rising off of here, which is stated to be about 4km, which is called prominence.

The mountain from the valley floor to the peak/summit is 680 pixels. The prominence of the K2 is 4017 meters. You divide the amount of pixels by its prominence and then multiply it by the height of anything (This case, a building).

I scaled it correctly. Your scale at assumes the full height wich is slightly double of what it actualy is. Remember, that valley floor is at 4000 meters above sea level.
