I just want to know what's up with Seven of Nine. I've always been curious about her since I was a kid.
you will come to hate(with a passion) almost the entire cast
despite this, you will probably want to finish the series
Characters are fucking horrible, even The Doctor who is way more interesting than the rest will get on your nerves after a while. Honestly ENT is better
if you liked ds9 you'll pretty much like anything so go for it.
it's the best trek everybody else is just a glory hunter band wagoner mainstream faggot
ENT is better in every way.
That said Janeway is an absolute blast and voyager it worth it for her alone.
Barge of Death is literally one of the best episodes of Star Trek in general, I don't care what anyone says. Voyager is bretty gud overall. Not as good as TNG but I enjoyed it.
nice bait
only a fucking idiot would think that Star Trek: space mall soap opera is somehow good.
Only a fucking idiot who has watched maybe 3 episodes would call DS9 a mall soap opera
I watched it all multiple times you deluded fuck! Even you yourself couldn't answer what's so good about it, you just like feeling a part of a team for once in your life and circlejerk stupid memes on /trek/ threads about your godawful melodrama in space.
No not really.
There are only like 10-15 half decent episodes in the entire run.
>i watched this show i absolutely hate in its entirety MULTIPLE TIMES because i just hate it so much
>There are only like 10-15 half decent episodes in the entire run.
that's basically all of star trek
>watched it all multiple times
Okay I fell for it, 6/10
It's got it's moments, but I still prefer ds9. Also FUCK TUVIX
If you're REALLY itching for more TNG then I think you'll like it. Like go a year without watching any Trek, then instead of doing a TOS/TNG/DS9 rewatch, put this on instead and it'll be a lot more satisfying.
Its the best Star Trek so, yeah
I don't HATE it, I hate stupid morons like you who shit on other shows and think DS9 is peak star trek.
If you can get past the fact that it almost completely ignores the premise that it's a ship without backup or resources from the federation, it's a solid episodic romp similar to TNG.
I want these zoomers to go back to school and catch the plague already
Forget TNG, its the closest to a spiritual successor to TOS we'll likely ever get
I mean the replicators are a big factor and the fact it's a smaller science vessel so it can't just rape everything like the enterprise would.
This always bothered me. Voyager, in theory, is a great premise. Running out of resources and people over time makes for great drama. It would have forced Janeway to make morally questionable sacrifices or alliances.
but no, instead we get salamanders fucking and 48 episodes about the borg
>zoomer
nice rebuttal retard. stick to /trek/ threads and ready your "HE DID NOTHING WRONG" memes you pathetic fuck.
Sir, that episode won an Emmy, stand down
you don't get star trek. go watch picard
If you are a fan of classic trek why would you skip VOY and ENT? They do have some weak episode but so did the first three series, overall both VOY and ENT are good shows.
Insaneway, the Doctor, Tuvok, and Seven are all fine. Neelix is kind of like trek's Jar Jar Binks but he entertains me for how much he makes people seethe. All the rest of the characters are just kind of boring, but none of them are really awful.
Kim is kinda your Jordie nerdy nice guy type, I like that. It makes it more believable that the federation would have those types of people serving on board. Tom also has some nice episodes nad is pretty cool. Chokotay is the biggest chad in star trek history. The only uninteresting on is Belana
Bad as the writers made the cast, it's actually good trek. I find it more re-watchable than TNG
Honestly, this video assesses that question rather well, I think.
It is worth watching, despite all the bad and mediocre episodes, there are still plenty of good ones as well.
Who gives a shit about the characters. It's about the weird setups and voyager had plenty of those. I especially loved the episode where they come across a planet that is sped up in time. And the one episode where they are all slowely degenerating untill only the gook ensign remains is fantastic.
I can get plenty of good chaarcter dramas everywhere else. Sci-Fi needs fucking Sci-fi not believable, deep characters.
the maquis may have hated the federation but they weren't "enemies" like the Romulans or Klingons. That video is retarded
how the fuck do mediocrities like this fuck get their "career" of the ground. kys for making me give him a view.
The biggest missed opportunity of VOY is not taking advantage of the potential for a large secondary cast of officers. It made sense not to really develop the minor crew in TNG because they'd be killed off or transferred off-screen, but in VOY we're supposed to have a fixed (shrinking due to casualties) crew yet it never really feels that way; they feel almost as disposable as TOS redshirts. They even had that great opportunity where they get those Starfleet officers from that 2-parter but then completely forgot about them.
Ah yes, Voyager and its classic infinite photon torpedo generator
I HATED the doctor when he appeared on DS9, literally 0 charisma. Never watched voyager and never will.
for years I thought it was shit
and in a way I was right. many utter shit moments. Its lowest are some of the lowest lows.
but I started watching it in earnest recently. And I'm liking it.
His episodes are the best. You are missing out
Why are the Fair Haven episodes so hated. I love them
Patrician 200 IQ answer:
VOY = TNG > DS9 > TOS
If TNG was made at the time, when VOY was made and vice versa, no other spin-off would stand a chance against it, but a lot of TNG episodes are awful in comparesant to VOY. People like to hate VOY because of how shitty the crew is in contrast to the perfect crewmen of Enterprise, but the struggles of Janeyway and her lamen crew is what makes it better. Wouldn't work without the existence of TNG, though. TNG is closer to the heart, but considering above mentioned, they ought to be seen as equal. DS9 is overrated and gets old quick, but the characters are probably the most lovable.
Im risking an infection, but I have to respond to you with an absolute agreement. Yes, Space Mall 9 Opera should be the name.
Yes. It's a good series. It has probably the overall weakest first few seasons, despite some gems. The characters range from great to underutilized. Don't listen to Voyager haters. They're rabid.
Space Mall was still better than Little House on the Space Prairie
That wasn't the Doctor. That was the actor playing the Doctor's creator.
I swear these posts have been made hundreds of times.
Does that one little thing discredit all his other points?
You're just jealous.
Celtic-ness in Star Trek has always been cringe
this
Discovery and Picard showed us just how good it was
we literally were too cocky, bors
wow, you have totally destroyed me with a reference only people currently on their death bed would get
You seem to fundamentally misunderstand the appeal of 90's trek. I think STD and Picard would be more your speed faggot.
you're not the audience, zoomer
truly, and they have been refuted zero times
the steal resources from planets they pass by.
It's better than all of those series so yes.
