Pirates if the Caribbean is funny and exciting. Every movie is a new adventure and the characters are extremely likeable. Lord of the Rings is simply boring. No character is interesting and I don't remember a single line in my memory. I have only seen the Lord of the Rings movies once and I have no interest in ever seeing them again. Pirates of the Caribbean on the other hand I can watch them again and again, which I do every few months.

Funimation Dub of DBZ is the superior dub simply because of the Bruce Faulconer soundtrack
Faulconer soundtrack of Goku turning super saiyan is fucking perfect. It gave the whole scene which the series hinted towards a very mystical feel to it. Compare it to the original Japanese or even kai the scene doesn't have the same weight or feel without the music

Faulconer soundtrack is easily the most thematically perfect soundtrack ever produced in animation, and the funimation dub is almost as fitting for the characters.
