I wonder if all that chlorine gave Rexy diarrhea.

T-rex had feathers and couldn't stick its tongue out.

Good thing these are genetically engineered theme park monsters.

oh, thanx!

Fucking summerfags

T-rex didn't have feathers because it generated a lot of body heat

I'm kind of bored, bros. Would anyone be interested in having a watch party for some JP movies today?

It's not 2016 anymore, widely confirmed that 90% of dinosaurs lost their feathers when growing up

This is the first one of these coomer memes that actually got a chuckle out of me, well done.

I think about it sometimes. I thought I won't be watching them until we have the sixth (and maybe final) movie but i still rewatched Fallen Kingdom today. With rifftrax but still. Pretty bad, worse than I remember what a downer. Still looking forward to that marathon I even have the extended cut of TLW for that occasion.

>shrink wrapped skull
worse than not including feathers since it lost them due to waste heat like an elephant.
They should have at least make the raptors in the new flick feather covered but they doubled down on stupidity and said some bullshit about frog DNA.... Even though frogs don't have scales..... I guess giving up your brand recognition movie monster isn't worth being as scientifically accurate as possible like the 90s JP was with the knowledge they had at the time. What a piece of shit.

God, whoever decided on the color for the Spino is based

Reminds me of this commercial that played before the movie on my VHS copy of The Lost World. Except not in English.

I'll take care of the hosting; I was just wondering if enough people would be interested for me to bother.

We can watch all three if people want.

What?

ALAN? ALAN? ALAN?

Attached: jurassic-park-weird1.jpg (650x349, 121.42K)

The face looks like a skull with no meat on it

What was going through the filmmaker's minds when they added this scene? Was this a way to soft-retcon the raptor design, like that's the way Dr. Grant remembers them?

Cool. Which face? Which skull? You just started ranting about bullshit with no context.

I had this as a kid. wanted it so bady. the camera was absolute shit. potato camera. made everything look like absolute fucking garbage.

JP2 > JW > JP > JP3 > JW2

>What was going through the filmmaker's minds when they added this scene? Was this a way to soft-retcon the raptor design, like that's the way Dr. Grant remembers them?
The raptors started showing those feather-spines after a couple generations of breeding in the wild. They had them in JP2 iirc.

I assume it's supposed to be a suppressed trait that's started expressing itself now that they aren't being micromanaged by Henry Wu.

Bold and I absolutely agree.

For me its JP>JP3>JP2>JW>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FK
I wasnt the other dude that commented first, but the face on most dinos from JP are very "tight" like there is only just skin covering the face and nothing more

>For me its JP>JP3>JP2>JW>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FK
Same

>I assume it's supposed to be a suppressed trait that's started expressing itself now that they aren't being micromanaged by Henry Wu.
This was always my headcanon, but they never state that in the movie, and no, the spines were only in JP3. The JP2 raptors look exactly like JP1's but with some slight pallet swaps.
I'm saying the dream thing was so stupid it must have had a purpose and I think what I'm saying might be right although I've always liked the idea you proposed best. The third thing being that InGen "fucking around" made these slightly different-looking dinosaurs that were maybe more true-to-form clones than the OG's. All headcanon but I think as far as the dream goes what I said might make the most sense but I'm not sure. There's no other way Grant could have seen that raptor in his dream unless it's canon that Dr. Grant has precognition.

>I wasnt the other dude that commented first, but the face on most dinos from JP are very "tight" like there is only just skin covering the face and nothing more

KINO

Gee, almost like birds and crocodilians today.
This is the currently-accepted scientific model for tyrannosaurus. Very meaty build around the face and body and basically looks just like the JP rex. In motion, I think the JP rex is probably the closest rendition of the real animal we've done based on current science.

Attached: tyrannosaurus.jpg (636x382, 65.52K)

Attached: Ingen08.jpg (1920x1040, 181.21K)

But still, we'll never truly know how the Rex looked like unless we get timetravel tech like in that one documentary of that australian traveling back in time and walking around studying prehistoric animals and shit

Something no one cares about when it comes for movies aside from a few autistic screechers. Cosmetic differences and stuff that we don't know but should still listen to the experts and apply these things in movies only to see their theories get discarded and forgotten five years later. Some of you might remember how one of such authoritative theories influenced Jurassic Park III but I won't get into details because T-Rex vs. Spino is a super boring discussion (btw the new look of spinosaurus is better in my opinon). JP designs are still integrally consistent and believable enough and since they already explained that real dinosaurs probably looked different in theory they may even clone them to look like Richard Owen's Crystal Palace dinosaurs next though that would be outlandish enough to break the immersion. But I know that community inside out a portion of them actually push such retarded and stupid crap that you think they're fucking with you but it's actually more like power play. Because when the general public reacts negatively they can be like "haha you're such laymen afraid of feathers? We love them more now because they make you angry. Nature doesn't care. Look we'll make it look even more retarded just for you and we're gonna love it even more".
For the record in the recent years someone finally found a way to make feathered design work but those first few years were rough. Same shitty design every time I'm sure some of you remember.

Watch this scene and pay attention to the guy hiding behind the truck door. He should get his legs cut off when the pachy rams into the door, but instead he gets knocked out the other side of the cab like a cartoon character.

For the sake of argument, do any predatory birds have fleshy features around their face?
Tyrannosaurus was featherless and no fossils of any bony structures of tyrannosaurus have been found, so really the only thing I could imagine would be like some turkey tier shit, but do any predatory birds or reptiles today have anything like that?

Since FK is still fresh in my mind and the one in TLW is unforgettable the comparison makes it obvious that people forgot how to make movies. Or that blockbusters simply need that 70s-90s Spielberg touch. God bless this movie I don't think this franchise will forever have any other movie in 2nd place but I hope that the next one will at least be better than Jurassic World.

Komodo dragon is so nicely looking. Apparently people were quite shocked after some expedition brought them to civilization (though the species was described like 15 years before). I'd like to see the first recorded footage of this animal from the 20s.

Hmm one day I may actually get that MEGA link of the extended cut of The Lost World so more people would have it. Like in a busier JP thread or something.

>busier jp thread
Thats it, someone say something controversial so that the infighting begins, I'll start
Spino is better than Rex

Which by the way only includes the scene with Tembo and Ajay meeting in a bar it was the only that existed in its entirety in a finished tv quality. But I already can't imagine watching the movie without it. I think it looks ok though I'm such an amateur I basically had to learn how to edit on the spot.

Shut up, faggot.

I could give you the link now I guess. It's not like I have anything else on my account right now. Tell me if you see anything I've never done this before but the more people know about this the better so save it and spread it.

Keep posting, faggot, the only reason why JP3 isn't considered absolute trash is because Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom ended up lowering the bar even further.

Attached: 1545139326736.jpg (585x874, 161.53K)

Damn, SNAPd a nerve, did I?
Thanks bro, what are the differences between the vanilla release and this one?

Attached: Spino'd.jpg (320x320, 10.46K)

Jurassic World is at least better than Jurassic Park III. Both aren't memorable so we can enjoy them on a very superficial level. In case of Jurassic World it's anything connected to the park because it's honestly something straight out of dreams. JPIII has a few above average moments. And surprisingly it's not inconsequential as the actions from this movie directly lead to Jurassic World.

Attached: jp Muldoon clever girl.webm (1200x650, 2.91M)

Only the Mombassa scene that shows friendship between Roland and Ajay and is a proper introduction scene. Both JP and TLW have a series of short scenes at the beginning before the proper action but TLW was missing this one. It has finished lighting and effects but different ratio so if consistent quality is very important to you you're not gonna like this. There was a second released scene (both were in an official but extremely rare tv edit of the film) but the only full version of the scene was in poor quality and honestly I had to learn editing so adding one scene was rather hard to do and I couldn't fit it in the movie without ruining the perfect transition between screaming woman and yawning Malcolm.

>mfw I used JP cloning as framework for the old /k/R&D labs threads
Good times bros, JP is a magical IP
