Marvel went full woke and Phase 4 looks like the most boring nothing ever. Thor is fat and emasculated, the new Thor will be a woman with no charisma. Hulk is emasculated, the new She Hulk is just gonna be fighting the patriarchy too. Spiderman is emasculated, just a loser who can't do anything by himself unlike Raimi's version. Thor Love & Thunder is the last potentially amusing Marvel movie but that's full of SJW influence and isn't even coming out till next year.
The DCEU is in shambles. Henry Cavill, Batfleck and Zack Snyder are gone. They never even implied built up Darkseid yet. Even if they do put Darkseid on film everyone is just gonna find him a boring one-dimensional, less interesting version of Thanos. Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn are the only semi likeable DCEU characters. Leto Joker is gone, the seriousness of the Man of the Steel films are gone. DCEU is just quippy cartoons like Marvel now.
Down to earth capeshit like Kick-Ass, Super, Scott Pilgrim are nonexistant nowadays. Is this the end, bros?
Letting go of snyder was dumb. They should of let him finish justice league, done flashpoint and fixed it that way.
Oliver Ward
We can only hope. Tho I see DC continuing with the stand alone films like Joker and probably a few of them will be good. Maybe they'll actually choose some creative comics this time around, be nice to get a We3 movie. Gunn's making the new Suicide Squad and Guardians 3 and he's never made a movie that isn't at least entertaining.
Wyatt Sanders
They should have let him done his 3.5 hour long, 5-film Superman arc along with Terrio's script.
Liam Young
It won't be good
Jackson Robinson
It will be good enough for normies who don't know how to criticize anything outside of "muh character didn't get a happy ending in game of thrones season 8", but it sure as shit won't be good enough for me.
Bentley Flores
if you put faith in matt reeves after the debacle that was War then it's your own fault when you inevitably get disappointed by the shit flick he shits out
I don't know but if it is they had a good run of it, Marvel especially
Dylan Ross
Pattinson Batman won't be good.
Reeves has already shown he prefers John Wickery compared to the actual dark psychological detective stories Batman can lend himself to
Juan Moore
>matt reeves >jeffrey wright as gordon >3 villains yikes. you just know nolan is a God to these hacks
Jose Gray
>Marvel went full woke and Phase 4 looks like the most boring nothing ever. Potentially good. Normies don't actually like full woke. So if the MCU pushes too much bullshit, it could push normies away from it, which could potentially damage the brand, which could potentially lead to them pulling back on the woke crap
>Leto Joker is gone Good
>the seriousness of the Man of the Steel films are gone MoS wasn't serious, it was shallow bullshit dressed up as something with depth.
>Down to earth capeshit like Kick-Ass, Super, Scott Pilgrim are nonexistant nowadays. >Down to earth capeshit like...Scott Pilgrim >Scott Pilgrim
Do you actually know what "down to earth" and "capeshit" actually mean?
Jaxson Cox
Normalfags don't care about woke and don't even realize it. My normalfag friends said the female ghostbusters was good because "hemsworth was funny xD".
Jeremiah Kelly
DC is has and always will be a shitshow, that's just how WB rolls. They want a marvel tier win but with none of the work put in. For every win they have like Aquaman they fuck it up by pulling something like Birds of Prey outta their collective asses. One minute they want serious, next they want action comedy, then they want horror, then pg, then R. Plus the executives in WB have always fully meddled with their Cape movies and want em all to appeal to as many people as possible making them usually bland shit.
Marvel is going to essentially be throwing darts at a wall and seeing what sticks. A good chunk of their main cast is over playing in Cape shit and they other half has been downgraded into streaming service tv shows. All they have is Strange and Fat Thor at this point, they dont really wanna do another Antman so no telling when that cast of characters just completely disappear. Plus no one wants to invest another 10-15 years building up a new villain in the background again.
Charles Howard
Isn't it about time? They didn't really intend to keep putting out a movie every year until the end of time, did they?
Jaxson Jones
As long as it makes money, yes.
Dominic Fisher
>actual dark psychological detective stories Batman can lend himself to Lol, the capeshitter delusions. Go dance in public toilets.
Your "normalfag friends" aren't normalfags, then. If normalfags thought it was any good, they'd have watched it, like they do with F&F, Transformers and capeshit. Your friends are either hipsters, male feminists or women.
It's a pretty well documented fact that the last good superhero film was spider man 2.
Thomas Murphy
Didn't Marvel get access to hundreds of characters when Disney bought Fox? "Not just the marquee names," according to Feige.
Jaxon Price
Marvel's movie department disrespects all their characters though. Hulk never beat a villain and was always there just to be laughed at or lose. Thor got turned into a cuckold handing over his kingship to a nigger dyke and lost all his masculine traits. Spiderman is an elementary schooler without charisma or soul. Hawkeye never did anything major, just a complete waste of screentime. They don't know what to do with characters. Even if MCU introduces the X-Men they'll just disrespect those iconic characters too.
Austin Davis
reminder BVS was the crowning achievment of comic book filmmaking. you were never going to please everyone and zack did his best considering the humungous scope and restrictions. far from perfect but the film had a plethora of cool moments and some great acting
Carson Price
The only cool shit they have left is doing something good with Fantastic 4 and Doctor Doom. I hope they do a good Doom, could be potentially the thing driving next MCU phase, but doubt it will happen.
We already know phase 4 big bad will be Kang the Conqueror, since Loki TV show trailer showed Time Variance Authority. They will go that route and maybe introduce Fantastic 4 and slowly new X-men in Phase 5.
It could still be good but we have 0 good interesting characters left.
Jacob Sanchez
You're retarded.
Blake Scott
Maybe try watching stuff that isnt capeshit
Sebastian Morris
Pattison is too skinny for the role
Thomas Watson
lmfao that webm is hilarious, but proves my point. Batman having a motorcycle fight at his parents' gravesite? Seems like convoluted action schlock. Gimme an Under The Red Hood movie instead
Unless he'll be going round shirtless for any prolonged period he doesn't need to be massive in size. Michael Keaton is a manlet and skinny, but he was good.
The design has roots in circus strongmen of the early 1900s and does a great job of breaking up colors. I personally like it because it acts as a pleb filter, if your capeshit character has a classic design it shows love and faith in the source material, and if you don't you probably have the brain of a 13 year old trying to make superheroes gritty and """realistic"""". Plus you look at 1978 Superman, CW Crisis Superman, and Adam West Batman and you'll see underwear that doesn't look too bad on screen.
>underwear doesn't look too bad Doubt. Everyone from my grandmother's generation to my mother's always laugh and make fun of their silly underwear costumes. Even a contrarian like me can't really argue about how cringeworthy it looks.
>breaking up colors You don't need underwear on the outside to accomplish that. In fact it actually limits the variety of any superhero design because the underwear is mostly the same shape.
>faith in the source material Accuracy to the comics is not necessarily a good thing. It can be good but it has to be a case by case basis. Comic Thanos is shit compared to movie Thanos, he would have had no presence or intrigue if they adapted him 1:1 to the source material. Joaquin's Joker is the most fleshed out and likable version even though that storyline wasn't in the comics. Tobey Maguire's spiderman didn't even make his own webshooter, which was a big part of spidey's identity. His devil horn sign during webshooting makes no sense because his fingers aren't pressing on a button.
>gritty and realistic Which is why Batman always sucked balls. You can't take a grown man that speaks with a forced rasp with pointy bat mask chasing a clown around seriously if you're above the age of 13.
>Adam West Because that was a straight up comedy, it fit. Trying to take underwear superheroes seriously is impossible if you have a functioning brain.
Chase Perez
Your maternal line has been plebfiltered. And not many superheroes other than Batman/Superman have the underwear (at least in DC, I don't know old school Marvel). >Comic Thanos is shit compared to movie Thanos Maybe now but the Infinity Gauntlet story was way fucking better than "hurr kill one to save a hundred" Thanos. I see what you mean about Batman but I disagree, even though I'm not a Batman fan myself. He works best when you analyze himself in the context of someone who wants a family (in reference to the Batfamily) or a conniving tactician and part of the League (like in JL: Doom). I'll concede the Adam West point
I liked the clean & smooth look of the Reeve suit. Aside from being overly colorful it looked like something people would actually wear. Form fitting but lightweight and breathable. These new textured suits look uncomfortable as fuck.
Like, that alien with lazer eyes is gong to be more "realistic" because he's wearing a sweaty rubber bondage suit with a muted color scheme? I'd think a technologically advanced race would make something a little more comfy.
His daughter an hero'd. He kept working on the film months after that. He was fired and replaced, they said he dropped because of his daughter, but that was a straight up lie.
Isaac Bailey
He got stubby arms
Landon Myers
>expecting nu-Batman to be good It's going to suck. Woke casting is a sign. That being said, I would absolutely breed little mutts with Zoe Kravitz.
Snyder is dogshit as is Flashpoint. They should have just started over, don't reference anything prior, and let Geoff Johns do his thing
Nathaniel Clark
>actually thinking that shit will be good you are either a shill, a faggot or both
Carson Ward
BVS made my parents fall asleep TWICE.
Wyatt Cooper
>Will Pattinson Batman be the last good capeshit? lol, user, look at these cast clearly the director has no control over who he can have on the cast and the worst thing is to have a cast so different from the comics, it is as if he put in this film all the mistakes of the x-men, dc and mcu films he is completely lost
I was thinking about who could be a good Selina, an actress with physical ability to do what Catwoman does without stunt and who looks great in a tight suit Then I saw an interview with the actress Jessica Chastain this week, but I think they don't want anyone to look really good in a tight suit again. It's a bit of darkness for men who like to go to the cinema in these last years
His Bruce will be fine, I don't know about his Batman though Wright is a good actor but fuck them for blackwashing anyways Only casting I like and have faith in You just know she only got in due to nepotism They're probably gonna go with gruff exmilitary Alfred which I don't really like but it suits Serkis much better than proper englishman Alfred Might be good, but I'm sure it won't be better than Devito
