It still very impressive how they filmed the scene with empty city. Overall cinematography is top notch and digital adds to the atmosphere, like it's filmed with handheld cameras. And soundtrack is lit too. Same with cast, really good actors imho.

Am I really supposed to believe that the military had absolutely NO way of communicating or intercepting any communication from outside of the country? Come the fuck on.

They should have kept with just the first movie I think, the sequel was pretty awful, and I can't imagine a third movie 18+ years after the original would be any good either.

Honestly the only parts of the second movie I actually remember are the great opening scene, and some retarded scene where the sole infected survivor is left in an unlocked, unguarded room, and gives a soldier Rage™ by seducing and kissing him. Then the rest of the movie is everybody dying I imagine.

The infection takes only a minute or two to fully form and take effect. If an infected somehow made it to an airport even they'd be attacking people long before they got on any plane. The virus manifests way to quick for anyone to make it off an island country or region before turning.
