idk, looking back it's already trashy at the first movie. back then it was kinda new and more effective, like blair witch project, even though not as much of course.

everything after the first movie is pure garbage

Grave Encounters are more gooder.

It's kinda stressful

The only thing it did right was not showing the monster for most of the movie.

teen fingerbang tier

A relic of a simpler time

I loved it when it was new but I went back recently and it's just kind of mediocre. I liked a lot of the atmosphere but the ending with the shitty animated jumpscare just kinda deltates it

I enjoyed the first one but had no interest in any of the sequels.

shit.
i made the mistake of seeing it at the theatre, and there's not a single redeeming factor on this youtube-tier "scary ghosts" compilation

I think the 2nd movie was the one were they were hanging out at the pool? The woman did show some damn nice milkers.

keep it in the ghost movie containment thread, phreak

I showed grave encounters to my friends and they hated it, I showed them Hereditary and midsommar and the loved those but then I showed them grave encounters and they would never take any of my movie recommendations seriously again

ever fart on their pillow?

3 > 1 >> 4 > rest are unwatchable

Even then 3 isn't really "good"

No

It tapped into people's fears from when they were kids which is why it was successful but loses it's charm on a second viewing.

Grave encounters is good.

IMO The Borderlands/Final Prayer is the best found-footage horror movie, followed by As Above as Below (mainly because of how effective it's atmosphere is).

What fears?

baby want nom nom milkee nao

the only mesmerizing and somewhat good scene was from the second or third movie, when that ghost was standing behind some girl with the blanket on

What type of ghost is this?

I watched a version were the woman gets shot by the police in the end, was that a later version?

no idea, the endings of these shitty movies are among the most boring and forgettable parts. I've seen all of them but have no idea what you're talking about

I think it was an alternate ending like The Butterfly Effect. I think Paranormal Activity had 3 endings.

Remember watching it in the cinema. Absolutely shit myself when his body got thrown at the camera at the end. Probably the most a jumpscare has ever gotten me.

Also - MOMMY

The ending I'm remembering is just a jump scare, fade to black and then a little exposition paragraph about how she was never found. Basically just garbage.

Found it, I saw the original ending which was the best one.

the theatrical ending is retarded, with CGI face and attacking the webcam to jumpscare the audience.

Yeah it's fucking trash, it's the only ending I've seen both in theaters and at home
didn't know there was others

All FF films are god's gift to earth. In my top 10 fave films list of all the time there is like 7 ff films

Absolute trash. I'm not anti-found footage, or anti-jumpscare, or soi horror fanboi, but this was painfully dull and I can't recall a single thing about it.

this guy is right

agreed. the original ending is the only one where she isnt self aware and knows what a webcam is.

I was insane how it seemed like literally everyone at the time was under the impression "it's actually real footage". Very successful marketing

Same shit happened with Encounters of the Fourth Kind
Paramount got sued for it

Ghosts under the bed/in the closet, dragging the bed covers off, weird sounds ect

I loved it. Simple premise that works if you grew up middle class and can empathize with being an a big home alone. Only brainlets deride an effective formula as simple or think you should fix what isn't broken. It had a consistent story and throughout all of them was working towards the finale in 6:TGD.

Casting was ON POINT for qts also, pic very much related

scariest film, developed sleep paralysis because of it

I actually think the third one wasn't bad. I agree that once the novelty wears out the first is shit. Horrible, annoying characters.

Unironically the superior version

Rewatched it and she was all I could focus on I mean got damn

Not outright scary but kind of unnerving at most. Not bad but super low budget movie doing any sort of reasonable success was gonna franchise itself to death.
This

Fuck it Rawling

kek this was great

tit and foot kino

gib

I hate any ghost shit in tv or film because it reminds me of the dumb cunts who unironically believe ghosts are real and can be hunted IRL.
