If they do it right (and this is almost a lost art), you forget that it's fake and get more excited. If you're 30 or more, you might remember when it was seen more as a sport by the mainstream.
Pro wrestling generally isn't capable of that anymore because their audience has shrunken so much that they're desperate to pander to the few brainlets they have retained, but the stupid shit they do doesn't attract new audiences let alone rekindle interest in fans who've moved on.

Vice is dogshit, except for Dark Side of The Ring. That is actually amazing. If you haven't watched it, catch up. Pirate it for all I care, but do watch it.
