RANK THEIR LAST WORDS, /WHO
>"Ah yes, thank you, it's good, keep warm."
>"No stop! You're making me giddy! No you can't do this to me! No!... No!. No! No! No!"
>"A tear Sarah Jane? No don't cry, while there's life there's..."
>"It's the end, but the moment has been prepared for."
>"It feels different this time... Adric?"
>"I hope the footprint I leave will be light but apposite.... Who said that? Who is that? Who's there?"
>"Timing malfunction! The Master, he's out there! He's out there! I've got to stop him"
>"Physician Heal Thyself"
>"I hope the ears are a bit less conspicuous this time"
>"Before I go I just want to tell you, you were Fantastic. Absolutely Fantastic. And do you know what? So was I."
>"I don't want to go"
>"I will not forget one line of this, not one day, I swear it. I will always remember when The Doctor was me."
>"Doctor... I let you go."
As my first reply, I wanna remind you all that pic related is coming next month and it's likely to be Susan's last story if she doesn't regenerate or something
9 > 11 > 3 > 6 > 12 > 1 > 8 > 4 > 5 > 2 > 7 > 10 > War
A few people have rated 1 pretty highly, I'm surprised.
It's like rating the wright brothers as some of the greatest pilots of all time.
Let's agree, the Coronavirus will be the thing that turns us into the cybermen.
it's like what said, even though it might be after the fact fan rationalizing.
>The rubber glove hands
Eh...
I found the .pdf's for the 1-11 sourcebooks. Are they easy to convert/scavenge for D&D monsters?
Unironically because Pearl Mackey is black.
Cyber-Apartheid.
That's exactly what I was afraid the reason was.
Doctor Who is for faggot autists.
Show has sucked since the very first episode
I really don't understand the reasoning though because they could have just hired a tall nigger to play her in cyber form. They could have darkened the cloth face too if they wanted.
...and I say that as a fan!
>They could have darkened the cloth face too if they wanted.
That would be exactly the kind fo embarrassing shit I would expect the current Beeb to pull in current year. It would have rightfully backfired and been a further stain on the whole thing. The funniest part is that classic fans and SJWs would both hate it but for totally different reasons.
In adventure in time and space they made one of the secondary cast of Tenth Planet a nigger. Forget which character it was.
I can never find a good PC build for any of the Doctors. I'd love to see how someone would play 12 or 7
Anyone know where I can download/stream New Who? They took it off Prime and I can't make Netflix work with my VPN and every garbage streaming site I've found buffers too slowly. I never should have deleted the shitty 480p versions I had.
>tfw they can't slip in a different companion for Eleven between Amy and Clara
>Eleven will never get a redeeming companion like Six with Evelyn
lol, podcasts.
and we're done here.
You've never read the comics, have you?
They managed to slip him some companions just fine.
Long-term companions? I'm not talking about one-offs
Yeah. He got some long-term companions.
The IDW series was set between A Christmas Carol and The Impossible Astronaut. It's had three seasons which is meant to be around three years in-story.
Tenth also had a series set after Journey's End, that lasted three seasons as well.
Both had companions that lasted the full time.
Oh. Well then fantastic. Nevermind.
Let's hope Eleven can get his own Jamie when Smith starts doing Big Finish in 5 or so years.
Nicola Bryant for 14th Doc 2bh
What the fuck was their problem?
Big Finish is getting progressively more shit
They need to
●Stop the making boxsets to bury one good episode among 3 mediocre ones to ship more product
●Focus on more innovated one off adventures
●Stop getting writers to waste time on spin offs that only last one volume
●More original monsters other than the Viryans (The Eleven and Rocketmen don't really count)
●Create actually memorable companions
>Liv Chenka is so horrendously boring I have not listened to Eight after Dark Eyes 3
All agreed?
Typical new Eighth Doctor boxset:
Episode 1: Filler episode that has nothing to do with the overall arc
Episode 2: A classic monster returns for some reason
Episode 3: Absolute kino, usually by John Dorney
Episode 4: A NuWho character is shoehorned into the story and features prominently on the cover.
What about Ten? I think he literally can't have another companion since Russel almost fully connected every season of his
see
Ahh, it does make sense. Although not many of his possible companions should have a happy ending since he still needs to believe he's better off without them near the end
That's called Guaranteed Drama, my friend. And it's crack to writers.
I'm actually stunned at how accurate this is
We're onto you, Briggs.
love
ok start a game
I would like to remind you I predicted this from nothing
I wanna see more this this badboy
3 > 9 > 4 > 12 > 6 > 10 > 11 > 8 > 1 > 2 > 5 > 7 > War
Honestly, I think 'I don't want to go' gets unwarranted hate. It's pretty much perfect for the kind of person 10 was. The main problem with it was just that 10 was he last Doctor before a new showrunner.
i liked 11 and 12's but they were too fourth wall breaking, it felt more like the actors speaking than the character
Ten's whole arc in series 4 is coming to terms with his predicted death. It totally negates everything he "learned", especially in Waters of Mars, if he's still protesting all the way up to the end. Like a bitch.
but your ok with 10? this most obvious and gratuitous of them all in regards to 4th wall breaking
It came across as embarrassingly petulant, especially coupled with his comment earlier in the episode that "a new man goes swaggering away" after regenerating. It made 10 seem arrogant and 'above' the other incarnations (forget the metacrisis retcon). Even as a young teen watching it for the first time, it made me wonder whether people got turned off 11 by those seeds RTD planted. I agree with the other user, it undermined his whole arc. 10's story got too bloated by real world hype for his final specials.
A better send off would've been "allon-sy", or some light waxing philosophical about the next big adventure.
I honestly think viewers aren't meant to like 10th near the end. Only since Tennant has a lot of fangirls there are a lot of 10th apologists. But imagine Capaldi doing that instead, he would pretty much be disliked equally by everyone
Are you kidding? Capaldi crying about how wasted his tenure was would have ripped my heart out. /who/ would be blowing that speech for years.
i said i liked 11 and 12's words. i didn't like 10's at all.
Something like "Thanks for the memories" or "I'm ready" would have been such a good cap on it all. Every Doctor should die with dry eyes.
Christ, I can't imagine how terrible Jodie's speech will be. Chibnall will write her the most self-agrandizing, petty shit and Jodie will sleepwalk through it as always.
'I don't want to go' doesn't really contradict his acceptance of his 'death'. You can accept that something is happening but still not want it to happen. 10 never had the most control of his emotions and was alone which is why it makes sense why was still upset to the end rather than having to put on a brave face for a companion.
>'I don't want to go' doesn't really contradict his acceptance of his 'death'
Read that again until it clicks.
reminder that chibnall-who will NEVER E V E R reach this level of kino storytelling
this has me thinking, what is RTD's heaven sent? midnight?
The last ten minutes of Waters of Mars.
crazy how arguably the best nuwho episode is just the doctor monologuing to his lost lenore as he tries to break through a diamond wall, there really is beauty in simplicity
It's sad to think that Jodie will always be considered a placeholder Doctor due to Chinball's incompetence. Hell, he even undercut her with Ruth who made a better impression in her ten minutes than two whole seasons of 13.
>Proudly admits she didn't watch the show because she thought it was "For boys"
>Does nothing to interact with fans
>Did nothing to make the character her own
>Only makes appearances from the safety of her own home in phone videos
You get what you fuckin deserve.
He had the most transformative yet subtle arc
He goes from disregarding humans to respecting them via his companions
He gradually learns to care about all life when faced with enemies that want to destroy it
He learns to let go of his granddaughter for her own good from beginning as willing to kidnap for her
He welcomes new friends to replace the loneliness from his past ones and replace the hole left from Susan
He has a crisis of faith in himself when he is confronted on how much he should interfere and stands his ground against Steven
And he dies without pomposity in order to transform reflect and the new man hes become
Hartnell and his era are absolute kino
No on that last one. She was in Children in Need twice with young Doctor Who fans that have illnesses or disabilities.
Being on Children in Need isn't exactly rare or difficult. You could include in on any CV and they'd believe you.
She appeared with one little girl with cystic fibrosis and uses her as prop to deflect criticism
Hartnell and Davison and C.Baker would March in parades as the Doctor with flocks of children
T. Baker would visit schools as the Doctor
Pertwee once nearly got arrested driving the Whomobile to a convention to surprise fans
McCoy stared in a 1 hour science presentation schools
Hartnell and T. Baker were both severe alcoholics but insisted on being sober and never photographed smoking while in costume or near children
Whittaker didn't even bother to watch one episode of classic who
Even Matt Smith who was a soccer bro still made the effort to watch one episode with each previous doctor and even liked Patrick Troughton so much he insisted on bringing back motifs from his ears
We've got a dud plain and simple
Regardless, her speech will give hope and reassurance to thousands of kids and that's a good thing.
She is the Doctor, whether you like it or not.
