So, I've seen 6 zombie films, the three above were absolute kino, great takes on such a stupid and complicated genre. The 3 below have their moments such as 28 weeks later kino opening sequence or world war z exciting cgi, but generally are pretty trash and I wish I was watching good films instead.

Next up, these are recommended zombie movies: Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, REC, Dead Alive, Planet Terror, Zombieland, The Return of the Living Dead, Re-Animator, Cemetery Man and Children of men

What are these movies like? Most of them have decent ratings, but are old as shit. What about Dawn of the Dead 2004 remake?
Out of all these Children of Men looks the most promising

Fido (2006) is good comedy with zombies.

>Children of Men
u wot

Romero's trilogy (especially Day) and Return of the living dead are easily the best zombie kinos ever made. Skip the rest (except for Dead alive, that was kino too)

>Most of them have decent ratings, but are old as shit.
If this is genuinely your thought process when looking for a movie to watch, just shut up and watch whatever

28 weeks later might not be as good as the first one, but the intro makes up for everything else and is one of the best scenes in any zombie movie

I am Legend is a vampire movie and Children of Men is absolutely not a zombie movie but is kino
keep an eye out for The Night Eats The World and Savageland for some slow burn zombie kino

Dawn, Day and Night of the (Living) Dead are all amazing and establish most of the themes, tropes and rules that zombie films use. the 1990 remake of Night is very good, but the remakes of Dawn and Day are pretty bad. REC isn't really a zombie movie, but is an effective 'found footage' horror film that will keep you in suspense if it's you're first time watching it. Dead Alive (Braindead) is very silly but extremely entertaining, easily on par with the Evil Dead films. Planet Terror and Zombieland are also quite silly, but not as funny or as charming - PT at least has a self-knowing B movie aesthetic whereas Zombieland has some really annoying characters. Children of Men isn't a zombie or horror film at all.

Return of the Living Dead is great, and is a great way to start you down the rabbit hole of 70s/80s zombie films. from there go to the Italian classics such as Zombi 2, Zombie Holocaust, City of the Living Dead, etc.

Train to reddit and reddit of the dead isn't kino

I liked 28 weeks later

The Horde is the best zombie movie
Its a french movie about rogue police forces and gangsters teaming up in a apartment complex

if you like train to busan then you have fucking terrible taste. Worst movie ive ever seen. its a fuckin korean soap opera with zombies. fucking trash

What was your problem with I Am Legend? Did you watch the theatrical cut or something?

cringe post

Every zombie movie is just a soap opera with zombies.

train to busan sucks dick and you're stupid for liking it

>Train to Busan
>Kino
let me guess ... Yellow fever, right?

I anticipated this. But where do I even post something like this. You're not going to recommend me reddit, user, are you?

I am a tvfag, that's my problem.A pretty average movie, but not for a retard like me

Ignore it faggot. Of course the Yas Forumstards here are going to call any on-topic thread with effort put into it "cringe".

but the best way to get an honest opinion on any film is to watch it and find out for yourself. based on what you enjoyed so far, i think you will enjoy Dawn and Day of the Dead, Return of the Living Dead, and Children of Men even though it has nothing to do with the others.

Dawn of the dead (2004) is great. Watch it now

At least you admit you're too pleb. Also explains why you'd call Shaun of the Dead kino.

You know me. But what's wrong with Shaun of the Dead. Don't know what's your position about Hot Fuzz, but I liked Shaun more

All Simon Pegg movies are redditcore

Always hated that danny boyle used that shitty fucking camera for this movie. You can see the bluray quality in the very last scene though, as this used an actual cinema camera

Busan is mediocre at best.

Train to Busan is overrated normie shit

That's exactly what I thought about Hot fuzz, really corny comedy, but enjoyable, haven't even looked into their third movie.

>REC
good
>Zombieland
shite
not seen the rest

dumb, dubuposter
>checked

>World War Z
>shit tier

name one 1 reason why.

Oh fuck off troll

Dawn Remake is really good. Even Romero liked it.
The Crazies remake is possibly better than the original.

>le troll
the movie is great the only boring part is the south korea part.

>The Crazies remake is possibly better than the original.
It is.

shaun of the dead is kino. the cornetto trilogy is art.

I wouldn't say the intro makes up for the rest of the movie but otherwise I completely agree.
>mfw he shuts the door

Kino

Dawn remake was kino; wtf are you on?

End of the World was dull

dawn 2004 is one of the corniest, most stupid movies i’ve ever watched. i just couldn’t bare to sit through the thing, it is no better than capeshit
also, I Am Legend, lol
>Will Smith fucks about in a city for years only to find he could have just literally driven to where the rest of the survivors are

Do the apposite of what this dumb nigger faggot says

Sametard

fuck off faggot

The only people that like Dawn of the dead 2004 are Pedos that drool over the Loli scene
Even after that how the fuck could anyone take the movie seriously and not walk out after the main character female jabs a fucking stick through a zombies goddamn skull?
who didint turn off the movie at that point?

You

t. Chinks

what is this projection? the little girl is in the movie for like 1 minute and is feral and jumping around like a monkey. You sound pretty fishy dude, what are you into huh?

Dawn of the Dead (2004) is one of the best zombie movie ever made. Go watch it right now, OP

honestly, same with The Host. If it was in english people would be comparing it to sharknado

World's End sucks dick. Its a rehash of shaun of the dead but a protagonist who is about 10 times more obnoxious. In fact shaun was insanely likeable. Gary King is such a massive faggot that I cant even feel anything for him when its revealed he tried to kill himself.

>Children of men
Kino

The fuck are you talking about

Me too, I really liked it and iI don't understand why so many people dislike it

>snyder
>baby zombie
>stupid unlikeable characters
>one of the best
imagine how the worst zombie movies look like, yikes

seconding Night Eats The World.

This is the best zombie show I've seen. Legit terrifying zombie threat.

Dawn of the dead 2004 is the Kinoest zombie movie

fuck off to your containment thread on Yas Forums

First Romero movie was outstanding, and Day of the Dead was fun. Overall zombie movie genre is very weak, worse than slashers for sure.

>world war z exciting cgi,
thats the nicest way I've ever heard someone describe the embarrassingly terrible snowball zombie sequence. The milk of human kindness must flow through your veins user

Attached: 18.jpg (709x538, 113.22K)

What happened to Zak Snyder? This movie was fucking great. Simple plot, great characters, practical affects with cool setting. Classic/Standard filmmaking.

Everything after has been boring shit and looks like it has 5 Instagram filter over it.

I just hated how melodramatic it got near the end. I enjoyed it for what it was, especially for it being in a train and all, but the hammy music and how the final scenes were done really made me hate it a bit.
