It's great but I prefer the 2nd one.
Good choice
For me, it's Sheitan
Is this the one where he kills everyone with a bayonet?
My favorite horror kino of all time
The second is way more quotable.
"I'm the lord of the harvest."
Fucking classic. I was going to meet Tina/Krueger at a local con that just got cancelled because of this fucking pandemic.
Feels bad man.
Here's my top 25 in no order:
Halloween (78)
Angel Heart
Jaws
A Nightmare On Elm Street (84)
Lost Highway
The Evil Dead (81)
The Entity (82)
The Terminator (it's basically a slasher movie)
Silence Of The Lambs
Silver Bullet
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (74)
Black Christmas (74)
It Follows
Suspiria (77)
Phenomena (84)
The Thing (82)
The Shining (80)
Friday The 13th (80)
Things (89)
Psycho 2
A Blade In The Dark
Manhunter
Predator
The Mothman Prophecies
Sleepaway Camp
It was such a retarded movie. It's like they took the "feverish nightmare" atmosphere of the dinner scene in the first but tried stretching it over the length of the entire movie for what felt like 3 hours. It was exhausting to watch, nothing made any sense, it wasn't scary and it wasn't funny either
Holy boomer list. The Shining fucking sucks, half of these aren't even horror
Blasphemy
I'm with you. That movie is boring as fuck despite all the silly shit. I applaud Hooper for doing something different but it just doesnt work outside of the admittedly kino opening with the two douches.
The Hatchet movies are based, just don't bother with the 4th one.
Do you have ADHD or something? Everything makes sense, it flies by and it's a fucking Cannon film what do you expect? You seem like a very boring person.
They're fun for sure.
ok zoomer
let's have your list
hard mode, no movies about someone being possessed by a demon.
Weinstein brothers made the best golden-age slasher
It really is great. The music. Setting. Atmosphere. Villain. Characters . Cinematography. Just perfect. I even like the very very ending that everyone always shits on as it's very surreal and fits perfectly within a nightmare.
Fuck yeah. Cropsy deserved a franchise goddamnit.
I wanted to like it too, I swear
Yeah basically. First few minutes were great but it was just downhill from there
I dunno man, I may be boring and it's possible that I wasn't in the right mood to watch that movie but the tone was just fucking weird, I went in expecting something close to the first one. And you're telling me the chainsaw battle with the sheriff in the cave made sense? It was full of outlandish shit, come one
>no scream
>the original friday and not the second
atleast you put sleepaway camp, fucking kino movie
Only real niggas know about this
Flame away. Also this is just off the top of my head so not a top 25 and in no order
Dog Soldiers
Hereditary
House on Haunted Hill (99)
Grave Encounters
The Howling
REC
American Werewolf in London
Late Phases
Bad Moon
Jacobs Ladder
The Descent
The Poughkeepsie Tapes
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (74 but 03 was good too)
Sheitan
Martyrs
Mr Jones
13 Ghosts (2001)
Wendigo (2001)
Nightmare on Elm Street 1 & 3
In the Mouth of Madness
Prince of Darkness
The Thing
You people have basic bitch taste
Scream would be in my top 30 for sure. Friday the 13th 2 is a classic slasher man I just prefer the atmosphere of the original its the only one of the entire series I find to be creepy. 2 has better suspense though.
Never even seen a proper horror movie desu, not counting movies like The Thing
You posted it so I'll post another favorite that more people should see.
Halloween
Candyman
Strangers: Prey at Night
Scream
Train to Busan
What about a chainsaw battle doesn't make sense? Do you not like stuff that's badass or something?
Even though you shat on my "boomer list" I gotta say that's pretty solid. I stand by my list obviously . I'm an atmosphere junkie.
>horror
>kino
Cute. Really. You don't know what kino is. Horror can never be kino. It will never be art. Horror is a genre of cheesy, vapid popcorn flicks for teenagers. They exist only to entice impressionable kids into dropping their pocket change in the vain hope that their date might hold their hand afterwards. Pure drivel from the same cult of inanity that controls the porn industry. Just avoid anything that claims to be in any way related to the horror "genre".
I think he was expecting a movie similar to the gritty original and got overwhelmed by the outlandish sequel.
I loved TCM2 but it's not for everyone I guess.
>a bloo bloo bloo
Galaxy of Terror. Nothing says kino like -- well, see for yourself.
I feel like nows the time to watch this again
>>horror
>>kino

As a lad I jacked off to the mutt hooker many times.
Only fags n nerds watch movies looking for artsy bullshit. Real Chad's watch exploitation kino with the boys while downing brews and smoking doobies
Same senpai
90% of the horror underground is ketchup effects with rape scenes and death metal awardly placed into the movie sans rhyme or season . There are some massive exceptions like Things from 1989 that is beyond based. But most ultra low budget horror is pure shite .
Classic
Phantasm
Based
>Things 1989
Ok RLM fanboy that movie is hardly even entertaining.
Watch SOV shit from the Polonia Brothers, Todd Sheets, Jeff Leroy, Brad Sykes, Ron Ford, Steve Sessions that's quality entertainment.
Camp Blood is actually a cult classic and has many reviews on YouTube poking fun at it and spawned about 8 or 9 sequels

man I thought I was the only one who liked The Strangers:Prey at Night
wouldn't put it as one of my favourite but its a solid flick
No, I respectively disagree. Horror is a artform, but current horror dreck is jewed and little more than torture porn. There hasn't been a real horror film for well over thirty years.
BOYYYYY
I agree with the first part of this. Horror is all but dead right now despite the quantity but good god there's been a LOT of good to great horror movies since fucking 1990 lol and I'm the "boomer list" user for reference
Nothing wrong with having opinions and preferences, sure, but judging a sequels merit only on how close it comes to it's predecessor is lame. If you come into a sequel looking for the original don't even bother, just watch the first one again. It's like really getting into one album from a band then writing off the rest of their catalog because it's different.
I for one like TCM 3 and 4. Every TCM after that can get fucked.
