>super speshul good at everything with barely any training
>random gay shit at the end
Seriously. The fuck?
I didn't really care about the gay shit at first but over the years it really left a bad taste in my mouth. The best season was the one with Zaheer though.
*franchise
It sucks too because she has such a nice design. She should've shacked up with a guy at the and had babies not that dyke garbage.
>tfw they did the same thing to Adventure Time
Soulless with a villian of the season. Original Avatar actually felt like a story of Aang growing up and had great stories & characters. Korra just felt like a fanfic.
You gotta deal with it.
The first one is super untrue, she's dogshit at most everything despite having thirteen years of nothing but training to fight and still loses basically every single scrap.
A really bad one at that.
It was good, just not in the same league as the original series, simple as.
Her being proficient in 3 elements in roughly 12 years is actually slower than Wartime Aang who mastered it in 3 years. The main problem was Korra randomly being able to airbend while having no spirituality.
notZuko and notSokka were somehow worse
what a disappointment
>shes shit at everything
>fucks everything up
>everything works out in the end because someone else bails her out or gives her powers or some other shit
she never worked for or learned anything in the whole show
As a viewer you are always rooting against her as she is a whiny bitch
>super speshul good at everything with barely any training
She's the fucking Avatar. Korra as a character and Korra as a show have a lot of problems, but her being supernaturally powerful is not one of them. The problem with the character is that she never fucking learns or has to suffer real, long-term consequences for anything.
>what is mercury poisoning
>in roughly 12 years
She could use 3 elements at like 3 years old, user
youtube.com
Proficient, user. Those were basics.
Korra Season 3 is the best season of Avatar period.
Fight me.
She spent like half the show fucking up
Korra as a character isn't even close to the biggest problem her show had.
This.
Annoying shit aside, I enjoyed Korra's exploration of bending much more than Last Airbender's.
Neither show is really clear on how long it takes to learn/master anything, it's incredibly inconsistent. Aang easily learns the basics of waterbending/earthbending/firebending within a year of waking up from the iceberg, and has mastered all four within 2 years. Meanwhile Roku spends nearly 30 years on learning them all, and Korra takes 20 years before she can even do the most basic airbending. And with non-avatars, Toph is the greatest earthbender in the world at 12, Katara can hold her own with the best waterbenders at 16, and Azula/Zuko are both master-level firebenders at 14 and 16 respectively.
Maybe Roku was just a really shit Avatar.
You're wrong. The best season was Season 2 of the original series.
seeth
The scaleless.
cope and dienow
they ruined the bending in Korra with gay powercreep
lava bending is probably the worst and makes more sense as a fire bender power, since the fire sages and Roku lived on volcano islands and an earth bender somehow has to superheat rock by bending to create lava
also lightning bending, which was a really dangerous technique exclusively taught to the royal family, not even Aang or any other Avatar is known to have mastered it, now blue collar peasants go to power plants to shoot lightning all day to power cities
Based, Season 2 is so much better than everything else they've ever done. Only the start of Season 3 can really compare, they really fumbled the end of the series and the start was pretty weak.
>saves your shit sequel series
Don't forget the average grunt being able to flawlessly metalbend and control metal grappling hooks like it's Attack on Titan, even though the entire point was that Toph's insanely specific circumstances were what allowed to her to sense the impurities in metal and exploit them
reminder that korra has huge tits
Bingo. Korra is just a convenient target, and only a small part of why the show is just bad.
Are these shows actually any good?
I could never get into Avatar when I was younger.
Korra really could have been a great character in a show with better writing. The polar opposite of Aang in every way having to adapt to a changing world dealing with the legacy of the century-long war that everyone is still furious about could theoretically make for a good show. Idk how they fucked it up.
Avatar the Last Airbender is a great children's show, one of the best. As an adult watching it for the first time I doubt it's going to do much for you though. Imagine someone watching Star Wars or Harry Potter for the first time as an adult, that's roughly the equivalent.
the second and third season of the legend of Aang are 10/10
Legend of basedra is horrible in every aspect
>only posts one page
come on man
It gets pretty lewd.
Even the staunchest of waifufags agree this character is only good for porn
all that spirit world shit is when the show jumped the shark, it was retarded and killed any chance at a new series
>Legend of basedra is horrible in every aspect
Legend of Korra was good until the moment where Deus Ex Aang restores all of her powers, also teaches her energybending, and undoes all the consequences of season 1. I don't understand why they did that. They had a fun premise set up where this arrogant little shit loses everything except airbending, the one power she never took seriously, and now has to relearn it all without anyone holding her hand. It was vaguely reminiscent of Zuko having to basically relearn firebending when he could no longer draw on being an autistic ragemonster. Instead she just gets it all back...because?
I watched both series for the first time a few years ago. A:TLA was difficult for me to finish. I disliked Ang and Zuko, they were both whiny cunts. I'm glad I stuck with it because Zuko got a lot more interesting. Aang was still annoying. The comic relief of the water tribe brother was annoying. But the character Toph made up for a lot of that.
Korra was flawed. But for me, it was a better series than A:TLA.
>Idk how they fucked it up.
Being tethered to Nickelodeon when the characters were all teens and adults.
Was that dyke shit at the end built up in the story or did they just throw it in for woke points?
131231089
it literally comes out of nowhere.
thinking she had a nice design is the step towards the faggotry the series turned into. Women are not more buff than men.
> you will never restrain her loose long hair full-crazy self and have your way with her while she screams incessant nothings not at your dick plowing her but at the crazyness in her mind
Can't let that top tier fire womb go to waste even if it is attached to crazy
No, it's thrown in at the last second with no build up whatsoever. Korra steals Asami's boyfriend in season 1, mocks her about it to her face in season 2 (literally "haha I was kissing your boyfriend while he was dating you"), they're barely friends in season 3, kind of friends in season 4, and then they're canon lovers in the final 30 seconds of the final episode.
Wasn't she the reincarnation of Aang? Makes sense that she would seek out females with a male's soul in her.
To make matters worse, not only do you have to deal with white knights but the coooooomers who wank it to girl-on-girl not realizing that lezzy p0rn turns you gay/tranny by making you identify with a female.
is it true the original creators became trannies?
But she's also the reincarnation of all the female avatars
Korra is one of the worst protagonists in cartoon history.
Except Season 1 of Korra is the best season of all of Avatar, period.
It went downhill from there but people that claim it's garbage don't seem to remember TLA got good around the middle of season 2. Everything before that was mediocre at best.
It has really bad villains and supporting characters. None of the villains are developed as characters and seem too powerful until they lose at the end. The supporting cast are bland and forgettable. I don't think the adults worked well since it feels weird when Korra is giving them advice. Most of the characters only have one personality trait and that just keeps getting played. The biggest problem is that it doesn't feel like a cohesive story, each season is isolated, unlike the original which had the end in sight from the beginning and still had subplots in the seasons. The season 2 villain is more threatening than the season 3 villain. Most episodes of the original could be watched individually and still work, Korra's can't.
No, you're thinking of the Matrix. The creators of Avatar (Mike, Bryan, Aaron) are all still men. Albeit extremely woke, dorky men.
Season one of TLA mops the floor with season one of Korra. It's not even remotely close. Any of the childish filler in S1 of TLA is still preferable to the retarded love triangle of S1 of Korra.
Come on, she's not as bad as Naruto
>The creators of Avatar (Mike, Bryan, Aaron) are all still men.
give it time
This
Legend of Korra is mostly garbage but the maaaaryyy suuuueee argument is bullshit. How many times has she been captured, defeated, tortured, etc all because she's too hot headed? Amman absolutely BTFOs her halfway through season 1.
Red Lotus were the best villains.
retards just saw the label applies to Rey so now they try to pin it on every female character like smoothbrains
She still gets praised and has the entire cast blowing smoke up her ass 99% of the time.
Least Korra was cute and had a great rack
Especially when the entire point is that the avatar is a force of nature. A Mary Sue is a character who's OP for no reason, in the Avatar universe the Avatar being OP is the entire point. The issue with Korra has nothing to do with her powers, it's just that she's a cunt and her subordinates mindlessly kiss her ass even though all of them (and *especially* Asami) have every reason to hate her guts.
