>Tom Holland
He stinks and I don't like him!

Holland? Raimi? The best Peter Parker was Garfield.

No

they need to chill out on using cgi on the suit

But it doesn't look shiny! it needs CGI!

For me it's Shinji Todo

The lower one aged like rotten milk.

I really liked the first Tom Holland Spider-Man, thought it was great. Second one was pretty forgettable, and choosing to continue to ramp up the involvement of Tony Stark was a mistake. I get that they twinned those two character arcs early on in Civil War, but I could give a fuck. I fucking hate the Avengers. Let all this shit be separate and interesting again.

Based

'No'

How did Raimi nail it down so fucking well holy shit.
It stands the test of time.

Holland isn't playing Spider-Man, he's playing Tony Stark's sidekick

They all have highs and lows

>Tobey
Best Spidey Movies (1, 2)
Weakest overall in-costume Spidey
>Andrew
Best in-costume Spidey
Worst Peter Parker by far
>Tom
Best Parker.
Watered down PC bullshit forced into his story.

Each one has pluses and minuses. Would probably give the overall edge to Holland though if we're being objective.

I think Tom Holland sucks!

>I really liked the first Tom Holland Spider-Man, thought it was great.
You might be clinically braindead. Seek help by jumping off a bridge.

yeah definitely no bad or weird cgi in the raimi movies

Attached: spideyskele1.gif (480x270, 3.41M)

It stayed relatively faithful to the classic one while at the same time having unique elements that make it stand out from the rest. Like the raised webbing

Attached: spidey.jpg (825x464, 73.5K)

Ironic coming from a guy who can't defend his point without using buzzwords. And also has no point whatsoever to make. Seek help by trying not to be such a normie fag.

That's loads better than the nu spider shit someone post the one where rubber Spider-Man jumps off the roof on too a car

>defends capeshit
>calls someone a normie

Attached: retardo.jpg (866x1300, 132.14K)

Yeah I liked some scenes in the first like the montage whenever he first suits up is charming in that "this is probably what a 15 yr old Spider-Man would act like" sense.
But overall the reliance on Ironman and the rest of the MCU makes it completely forgettable

fits with the tone of the movie

Didnt they learn the cgi suit mistake from Green Lantern?

I think the first two Raimi Spider-Man movies are good too, but almost any time Spider-Man is swinging it looks pretty fucking bad.

come on dude. that's a fucking cope answer and you know it. This shit looks like something that Don Bluth left on the cutting room floor for Dragon's Lair.

Wrong.
Really the worst cgi is just in the first film. Especially when Peter is going after Uncle Ben's killer

You're right in principle but none of what he said was a buzzword.

>wrong
>really, the first movie does look like shit
what a fucking retard

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 25.7K)

Practical effects don't lose their luster. That's a real suit in a real location with real lighting. Everything in that Nu-Spider shot is CGI.

I never said the first movie looked like shit I said it had the worst cgi. And that's objectively true

You said it stood the test of time (good or bad, it doesn't) and then said that the effects in nu Spidey are terrible before conceding that the first Spider-Man movie had "the worst cgi".

I just don't like repeating myself. I and other have made this point several times here, but if you want I can repeat them.
>peter is dumb
>takes place in the suburbs, which doesn't help show off peter's powers
>it's basically iron-spider, not really spider-man, since peter's suit does everything for him
>anyone with the suit could pass as spider-man, peter is basically a stand-in character
>has absolutely no character growth (mainly because there's no uncle ben)
>flash "the indian nerd" is completely unsuccessful trying to portray a bully
>peter almost nine-elevens a city because he is so dumb he thought breaking into a flying airplane was a good idea
Many, many other things. The only thing that is good about that movie is vulture.

I meant in worst in the Raimi trilogy
Also it totally stands the test of time because the whole suit isn't cgi in most scenes

tom holland only seems okay because he comes from theatre and utterly outacts every one of his costars, i admit his accent is pretty good (as a non american). however tobey had to hold his own against much better actors even if the dialogue they had was shit. holland's school costars are literal nobodies and zendaya, plus keaton was wasted in homecoming

I think that's the most tumblr image I've seen in Yas Forums so far.

Hey man listen you wanna talk about how CG fucking sucks and has been ruining movies since the 1990s, I get it. the CGI has been butt dick ass in every Spider-Man movie.

I never said that you idiot

>peter is dumb
at least as smart as Tobey's Peter was, arguably smart. Got into an exclusive private school based on grades alone as he's a poorfag.
>takes place in the suburbs
Maybe 10% of the movie itself is in the Queen's suburbs. Plennnnty of it takes place in the actual city, in DC, action sequences in shield facilities, the sky/beach finale.
>it's basically iron spider/anyone with the suit could pass as spider-man
yeah because any average joe off the street has super strength and speed, and the character necessary to use it (great power/great responsibility)
>no character growth
please, enough with this muh uncle ben shit. if you need pete's character arc spoon fed to you then there is no hope.
>flash is a bad bully
because you are comparing him to OG Flash. Nu-Flash isn't a beat you up jock bully.. he's an uber rich douchebag make you feel like shit bully.
>peter almost nine-elevens a city
Almost.. almost. How is this an actual complaint? You're mad your dumbass didn't understand why they would use this as a plot device in the climax of the movie?
So your points boil down to either you being mad your own personal expectations weren't met or you being too dumb to understand what you were watching. Either way, I would advise eating an AIDS dick.

Soul V soulless

No

That's really the only thing/scene in the Raimi trilogy that looks dated, and even then, that cheesiness fits with the tone of the film.

This piece of shit is actually a Webm. The fuck

I remember reading that back when they were designing the suit for film they had a hard time making the webbing show up well on camera to give the suit more texture, so decided to make it raised from the suit slightly.

This was obviously a smart move because Marvel fucked it up by making the webbing too flush with theirs, which looks terrible in CGI segments and lacks visual impact in camera.

I liked Garfield's Spider-Man, he really captured the annoying asshole aspect of him which is why everyone from his foes to friends hate the guy.

The parade scene is the only part that's aged poorly, the rest of the film looks 10x better than MCU Spidey.

Even TASM films were more visually appealing than MCU ones.

I won't start an argument with you, I'm just not interested in discussions right now, I'll just remark that every single one of the points you made is terrible and point a couple of particulars:
There is no character growth, particularly there's no great power/great responsibility. Proof: in the first movie he endangers all his school-mates by bringing a shining rock from outer-space that turns out is explosive (shocker), and then a whole city by breaking into an airplane (this also proves he is dumb). He is just as dumb in the second movie.

>Uses special effect from early 2000s in comparison to much, much worse effects from shit made 3 years ago

Attached: 1585124645763.gif (320x180, 1.03M)

You fags are delusional. The CGI looks bad in all the spiderman movies. In fact it was dated in the first Raimi film upon release because they delayed the release due to 9/11.

Not him but
>yeah because any average joe off the street has super strength and speed, and the character necessary to use it (great power/great responsibility)

Iron Spider suit replicates all of those abilities except for perhaps precognition, I don't remember if it had an early warning system in the comics. Character was the only thing you got right.

iFunny gif caption on Yas Forums? Dare I say based???

i still don't think they're using him quite right, but i will admit this

Mars Attacks tier, i.e. perfect.

>I-It's okay when my movie does it
Now that's an admittion of defeat.

This shot still holds up extremely well. The camp adds to the aesthetic

literally peak-Raimi
How the fuck can you not love this shot

>Tom Holland is the best Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

Attached: 1564232086054.jpg (680x940, 63.05K)

Not really. His Spider-Man is the worst by simple virtue that Spider-Man's character of a guy who has a tough personal life who cuts loose as a wise-cracking superhero with a lot of gumption is completely absent in the MCU. Instead he is a corny, "Golly gee! Wow!" kid who is regularly out of his element and is not secretly the top guy in the setting. Peter Parker is an adult, not a high school student. The whole point of Peter Parker is that he is trying to make it in the Big Apple while using his powers to save people and preserve law and order in the city. That aspect was there in the Sam Raimi movies and Tobey Maguire is a better actor than Tom Holland or Andrew Garfield. The only thing that he was missing was the wisecracks (save for a few scenes where they absolutely nailed it) and quips which are acknowledged in universe as being something that get on his enemies' nerves.

MCU Spider-Man as a character is a horrible adaptation.

The Raimi movies have outdated homophobia in them, so I can't enjoy them

Homophobia will never be outdated.

He means the new homophobia is better than the old one boomer

did your husband type that for you?

You got some shitty taste. Abandon thread
