T1 was an actual original sci-fi horror film with a sizable impact on our culture. T2 was a great summer action blockbuster based on the existing property. Good movie but its main impact is the memory of how many people stood in line to see it that summer.

I like the first one more. T2 is is good but its more of an action blockbuster hit if the season type. The first one is more of a thriller type. I hate how in T2 there's forced comedy, like the kid making stupid quips, and in the next scene there's small children being vaporised by a nuclear blast. It's all over the place.

T1. I think it's a fantastic love story. T2 is great though.

Depends what you like better. A slasher/thriller or a set piece-action-thriller.

T2. T1 is basically a sci-fi twist on Halloween. Cameron matured as a filmmaker, had a better budget and the best available special effects technologies at the time for T2.

John was just a good addition. It's very hard to do a believable child character that isn't irrating. He Edward did a very good job and it's heartwarming seeing John growing attatched to the T-800

Except the guy was trying to claim that guy's opinion is "opposite land" which is ironic because T2 is objectively the more popular movie, made more money and is the movie everyone defaults to when thinking about Terminator.

1 is a legitimate well-made action horror scifi with innovative concepts and spectacular arnold.
2 is a dumb action shit flick from a dumb big buck hollywood machine that was was probably filtered and market-researched a million times prior to shooting.
