Pretty good. I didn't expect the twist where she really was making it all up

havent seen it, can anyone confirm thats real? pretty redpilled if true
wrong
This movie turned into a Looney Tunes sketch in the second half. What the fuck were they thinking with that cringe hallway fight?
If you've seen the trailer you pretty much know the whole movie.
Modern horror movies usually fall prey to one of two tropes, either forgetting that cell phones exist or making cops act like retards.
Did she abandoned the nice rich guy for a BBC?
Who was the nig? What role did he have in her life? I didn't understand that. She just...lived with him?
I don't really understand why they had the part where her boyfriend subtly lets her know that she's right by saying "surprise", they could have left it open ended.
Why wouldn't she just use a can of spray paint on him when she knows he's in the room with her and some other people
You expect Leigh Whannell to have any nuance in his writing? Everything has to be hamfisted with him.
of course! After getting all his money, duh! tyrone doesn't work, he just smokes and pounds her white arsehole
he was a police officer and her bff, what are you dumb?
did I zone out while being bored or did they actually ever explain how she ended up with him or showed anything of their past together?
all I got after the beginning where she leaves was
>he was a manipulative and evil (white) man
and nothing else
how am I supposed to sympathize with her unattractive ass? just because she's female or what?
that's not the twist, terrible bait but i'm writing this to inform everyone not to waste your time watching this mediocre trash. the screenplay is poorly written and the plot is contrived and unbelievable but at least the ugly women gives it her all and the guy directing isn't bad, he just can't write. I enjoyed Upgrade for a well shot low budget film with that stabilized tracking shot when characters fall down that he likes to use in his films. Insensible Man isn't that poorly directed and shot it's just the plot but it also felt a bit like a low budget film with a normal hollywood budget, I liked how he used the concept to sort of make the audience scan the frame for movement which sort of added to the tense scenes but it wasn't scary and wasn't good overall. I hope this massive wall of text stops at least one person from wasting their time
Who tf watches trailers?
i was surprised at how much i liked it considering the trailer gave the whole plot away. the directing and camerawork were amazing
Elizabeth Moss will star in anything where she gets to be the empowered woman fighting the patriarchy.
Bitches be dumb.
Honestly anybody that expected more is an idiot. It's a paint by numbers horror movie with Peggy Olsen, Don Draper's catholic office wife.
#notallwhitemen
No OP is a liar. The movie was the typical white man hating garbage from Hollywood.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MOVIES ARE EXTERMINATING WHITE MALES STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP
Was the daughter retarded? How could she have possibly thought that she was hit by the protagonist?
Alright but hollow man is better
Hollow Man has Elizabeth Shue
The title was misleading.
It should have been The Invisible Man's crazy wife
She's a nigger
He was the knifed bitches ex husband, ex-brother in law of the bitch from mad men
Ex Brother-in-law and father of her niece
It kind of bugged me that the movie didn't show anything from their relationship, nothing that established their characters.
But in retrospect, doing so would completely undermine the possibility of her being deluded and/or an unreliable narrator.
A subtly redpilled version would persist in keeping the secondary characters in the dark of the matter of whether the invisible man was real or not.
With the ultimate effect of murdering her husband in cold blood and having completely gas lighted the movie audience in the process.
Illusory moral of the story: yaas, abusers deserve to die
Real moral of the story: relationships are fuzzy and bitches be crazy
Dumbest film I've seen in a while. Why didnt she just buy a thermal camera with her 5 million dollar trust? I don't understand.
Why didn't she just call the police on her husband instead of carrying out a dramatic escape from their household? It was set in a time period in which women were terribly oppressed by the patriarchy. Are we supposed to believe this wasn't an option for her?
Good point.
>being this sensitive
it was just showing how some people are manipulative and controlling
Why did she have to do the knuckles greeting with the kid
*wasn't set
fugg
It was pretty poorly directed. The hallway fight scene was god awful and the restaurant scene where the sister get's here throat slit was a fucking joke. When that scene happened I was embarrassed to be watching the movie.
Why didn't she take the phone in the attic that had pictures of her and the bull's daughter sleeping?
Yeah I had the same question when watching.
>Why didn't she take the phone ...
>she
there's your problem
>police officer
gross
Pretty decent, too bad there was no consequential twist
>havent seen it, can anyone confirm thats real? pretty redpilled if true
I wish it would explain how comically bad this movie was
Even hollow man is better
If it were a 90 minute slow burn of him fucking with her in the house, the film would have been perfect. That entire second half was a roller coaster of nonsense and tone-breaking.
>When that scene happened I was embarrassed to be watching the movie.
faggot
Btw Whannell cant stop torturing himself by visiting Yas Forums to see what people say about his movies. He always rationalises your criticisms but rolling his eyes and calling you incels who hate the movie because it's not alt right nazi shit, he seethes really hard but always come back for more punishment.
Often if you call the police they don't do shit, which makes the situation worse for you because now you have provoked the person who hurt you in the first place.
This is a terrible movie, meme tier.Dont know how anyone could enjoy this
That's bullshit. In most states the cops are required to intervene in reports of domestic abuse.
Cops commit 40% of the domestic abuse in America.
My point still stands.
ohhhhhhhhhh
>bad guy is incredibly smart, capable of making a literal invisible suit
>fakes his death perfectly
>stalks everyone like a top delta force operator without making a mistake qhich probably requires a ton of skill
>is outplayed by a literal brainlet tier protagonist at the end because script demands it
yeah nah pretty garbage
also they couldn't help themselves and play the spooky jumpscare music anytime the invisible man is visible, to the extreme too, have to lower volume to not suffer ear damage tier of annoying.
4/10
>*invis-suit making crackling alien noises*
Dropped!
the invisible man is overpowered when the script demands, it but then a complete retard when he needs to get killed
she literally threw a bucket of paint on a suit that has tons of little cameras and creases, even if I'm wrong and that was not paint and some other type of liquid, you are not getting that shit off, but he does it in less than 1 minute of screen time and goes back to fully invisible.
luckily i didnt see the trailer until after i saw the movie, but anyone who sees the trailer first, yeah man, that shit was brutal, gave away literally every major point in the movie
does it at use this song at all?

This movie was really slow. The Hunt is a better movie to go see on a big screen. Or Bloodshot.
This movie felt like subversive cuck propaganda. All the white guys are evil and abusive to the good and innocent white women of the film. While the one black guy is portrayed as a true and loyal friend, and a good father. And as the obvious man that the main female protag should be with.
Appearance wise, they also made sure to get a stereotypical "big black buck" looking guy for the role. They even had long shots that just focused on his physique, like when the main female char screams that someone is in the room and he comes running in with a tank-top. I swear, the camera just hones in on his dark-skinned muscled chest in that scene for a good minute, thought I was watching fucking blacked for a second.
And oh yeah, notice how the daughter was conveniently a muttress despite the father being black as coal. It feels like they did that to drive in the subversion with the mother-daughter type of relationship that the daughter had with the protag. They wanted the white female viewer who developed identification with the white female protag to subconsciously see that muttress as their daughter too, and that's why they didn't make her full black like the dad.
In point, it was all subversion. They wanted the white female viewer to walk away relating to the idea white men are toxic. And to draw a daughter connection with a mutt girl, and to view the physical traits of being tall, dark, and strapping as arousing and desirable for a white women.
>everything is race and gender propaganda
>1000000 Chris Hemsworth/Henry Cavill movies making sure women of every race are socially conditioned to like white men is okay
>1 handsome black guy IS LITERAL PROPAGANDA ITS NOT FAIR
White male fragility. You know you are privileged and top of the food chain socially (for now) so you feel threatened.
Why is Elisabeth Moss allowed to be in movies? She should be working the mines, surely
She though Elisabeth Moss was a gibbon and had 6 ft long arms
This. Stop noticing patterns.
