>Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Heres Tom with the Weather.
Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration...
boomer bullshit that leads nowhere, my dad talks like that and he's a cucked faggot
>Yeah man dropping acid totally expands your consciousness and like, activates your inner eye and shit man. It lets you see beyond reality dude
Cool, what are you going to do with this gift?
>Bro, I'm just going to get high man.
Your dad's right and you're too dumb to realize it.
You aren't doing anything either.
Alex Jones really said some weird shit
its just acid get a grip
Here come the npcs
I wish it was just a dream but all this blood and matter means something, its not all just an illusion
Based Bill. Fuck the haters in this thread. Read a book, exercise, broaden your horizons.
>its not all just an illusion
Source?
Hicks was a bitter faggot, but I always loved that quote.
Pain
the things that are real have no meaning, the illusion is the meaning you give them.
Go kick a rock
Life is pain, your highness. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise, is selling something.
stub your toe on something. Get your entrails removed. I'll gladly stand by your side and tell you it's all an illusion.
Why do people say things that they couldn't possibly know to be true with such conviction?
smoke more weed about it, schizo
the pain you feel is also an illusion.
Why do people who take acid talk about their experiences with such certainty? It's just fucking with your brain chemistry
childhood is admiring idiots like this
adulthood is realizing they're self-righteous trash cheerfully attacking all the easy targets which will get them a cheer from a midwit audience stuck in permanent adolescence
Bitter nihilist.
I'm not bitter, if anything it's a comforting feeling.
fun fact: when you experience pain it doesnt happen at the point of injury it only occurs in your brain.
Which atoms of the brain are the "self"?
And you are....
99.9% of what people think and "discover" on acid is fucking dumbass psychedelic bullshit. The 0.01% that isn't happens when people who are already smart and productive take it.
Pain is literally just in your mind you 12 year olds.
Childhood is styling posts like this and thinking you don't look like a fucking idiot.
>Where's the bloody jokes?!
Nobody ever claimed the atoms of the brain are the self.
>WHICH FUCKING ASPECT OF THE SINGLE UNIVERSAL DEATHLESS CONSCIOUSNESS SAID THAT???
Ultimately it doesn't matter if you believe in a meaning or not, whatever works for you. Some will say that's not being realistic and rational about the world, but then what is 'rational' exactly? How do we even know that what we are seeing as reality is real? Biologically we've evolved for best fit in a specific environment - not for observing objective reality. There is actually research showing that by the laws of natural selection, the chance that we are actually optimised for seeing the truth of reality sharply trends to zero. So claiming something is rational is a moot point, chances are our idea of 'rational' isn't remotely close what's happening.
just let me stomp on your testicles while telling you it's all literally in your mind.
What the fuck are you on about?
Why would I want to suffer pain just because I acknowledge it is a mind phenomenon?
Are you unironically 12? Even back in 7th grade these arguments were seen as pathetic.
>The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we … kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.
The self isn't a manifestation of the atoms of one's brain?
>Cool, what are you going to do with this gift?
>>Bro, I'm just going to get high man.
kEK
Pain can't be viewed as anything more than an illusion now that dumbass teenage girls are constantly downloading it on the facebook.
imagine being so retarded and materialistic that this kind of thinking is "mind-blowing" to you past the age of 12
imagine having to take psychedelics to realize babby-tier metaphysics insights as an adult
>muh tool
>bunch of pseudo philosophical one liners with no evidence, theory, or persuasion to back it up besides "muh drugs maaahnn.."
They really are a bunch of fucking tools.
No. You're atoms change constantly. The max materialists claim would be that the self (either consciusness or the stream of consciousness) is a RESULT of the pattern with which your brain atoms are connected.
Can you name one person who was killed because he tried to say "life was just a ride mannnn..." or is this just tangents of a person who doesn't realize how good they have it?
>this soundbit is not a large scale philosophical treatise therefor what it claims is wrong
At some point you have to realise arguing is not your strong suit.
I'm talking about how rationale doesn't matter when you experience pain. You can't reason your way out of it. Your mind only gets you so far.
Literally everybody who got killed by christcucks and muzzies for apostasy.
>a RESULT of the pattern with which your brain atoms are connected
Yea, this makes more sense as the phenomenon of consciousness ceases to be active when that pattern is altered enough
Um, what year is it, grandpa?
>it's not just an illusion
>source
>pain
>pain is just a mind phenomenon
>yeah but like you still feel it
Either you stop replying to me or I will stop replying to you but merely speaking to you makes my iq drop. Everything you say is just petty pretentiousness. Stop stroking your ego by hailing your ignorance to what others say as superiority.
Martin Luther King, Jnr had a dream . . .
Did he have ANY funny jokes?
>fuck white people amirite fellow intellectuals?
Way to stand up for death, bro, I am tired of people taking on easy targets like man's inevitable existential annihilation.
The ones whose balls don't touch.
That is exponentially more mild than most of the stuff that goes on in the Pain Olympics and those people hardly even flinch, you pussy.
>Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself
True, but that doesn't mean you lay down and die. The point is to keep surviving until we can figure something out.
Laying around and smoking weed isn't the answer. You need to do everything you can within the confines of your own reality.
If you have a healthy body to experience life with you are blessed. To create order is human. To be curious, industrious and determined something you should pursue.
Wonderful projection, brother.
>You can't reason your way out of it.
No, you can't reason your way out of it because you haven't taken the time to understand your own body or how pain fits into the equation, kiddo, meanwhile there are deeply studied monks in the Himalayan mountains who can reason their way around the pain of coldness and regularly get well rested sleep in the exposed elements and snow without the aid of tents or sleeping bags.
The pleasure i get from cp is not an illusion
it's just string theory
>american "comedy"
Posting this because it's true and it pisses off NPCs.
>Cool, what are you going to do with this gift?
Be more compassionate to my fellow man.
