A concept literally no Russian, let alone during Soviet times, would think to voice in conversation, the whole "hurr durr only the Moon matters" is a purely Amerifat invention to cover up the fact the 'Space Race' (also an American concept, USSR was just developing useful technology with Sputnik 1 but it scared the shit out of the Americlaps so they turned it into a proxy war) was overwhelmingly won by the Soviet Union, with the exception of landing a man on the Moon, something that ultimately proved a pointless waste of money even to the USA causing them to cut short the Apollo program whilst the Soviets just used rovers for sample return, the only actual useful reason to visit the Moon.
