for the main 3 it wasn't really, then for a few of the better cast professors Rowling had them in mind when writing

Korra's bending (the series not the character) is more nuanced than people give it credit for

It's definitely more modern and streamlined, but you can still see traditional elements in their fighting style, particularly among the older character which was a nice way to show the generation gap in my book. Korra herself though is just a retard who throws shit, but since she's the main character and has the most screentime, people think everyone in the series fights like that.

Ron was completely miscast. In the books he was a chad with some self esteem issues stemming from not being as popular as his brothers and being poor. The movies made him a dumb incel doofus and gave Hermione all his best lines and chad characteristics.
