Sidious was unironically the best part of the movie

You take that screenshot with 2001 model Nokia?

I know what you mean, it never felt like it was taking its plot seriously, like it was more a bunch of videogame cutscenes for a bad action game.

The dialogue was utter garbage.

>replying to yourself
>I know what you mean

I know what you mean, that guy was just trying to bump his own thread lol

>bumping a low res, cam rip, pixely image

Which is why the only good line was from the prequels

I know what you mean

I know what you mean

>they doubted the existence of the jedi in TFA
>doubted the existence of the force
>somehow Sheev has returned
>somehow this is a big deal to them

I know what you mean

It’s because they never had a viable plan for continuing Rian Johnson’s weird fucking choices, especially since Last Jedi inherently doesn’t feel like the second part of any logical story. I think RoS is a half baked amalgamation of some elements that JJ would have wanted to do anyway, with some painfully convenient developments sprinkled in to move it along.

>It’s because they never had a plan
fixed

how the fuck did he come back???????

still havent watched this garbage

That looks worse than a Marvel capeshit. At least kinda. It's not as flat.

I know what you mean

>strike me down and I will take over your body, Empress Palpatine
>Rey strikes down Palpatine
>usurps the Skywalker name
>shortly after the events of the movie, she enslaves the whole galaxy with the threat of force lightninging the entire universe

>This didn't even feel like a movie.
Indeed. It felt more like watching someone play a shitty video game.

>Sidious was unironically the best part of the movie
He was mostly out of character aside from callbacks to the OT & PT done for nostalgic pandering.

How the hell did his clothes spontaneously change after he was rejuvenated?

He'd probably just get distracted from all the masturbating he'd be doing.

I know what you mean

How long until Sheev appears in the Mandalorian? We know he was alive all this time now.

>How the hell did his clothes spontaneously change after he was rejuvenated?

hes just as cringe as he was in the prequels, dont kid yourself

No. He was actually pretty underwhelming and an insult to his earlier imaginings.

>not strong enough to leave chair
>strong enough to lift entire fleet of star destroyers effortlessly

Any half competent writer could've followed up on TLJ easily. It was obvious Rian was shifting focus away from Rey to Kylo. He should've been the main lead character of this.

Sidious in the prequels was top kino

>that spooky child molester smile when he tells Anakin they're gonna save Padmé

this felt like more of a movie than the previous 5 that came out

also maybe i'm misremembering but
>kill me so that you may become empress
>noooooooo
>she kills him anyway

what was the point?

Where did they get the personnel to man all those Star Destroyers? How did Sidious recruit so many as a cripple?

Sheev was Chancellor.

>yyyeezzzzggggghhhrrrhhhzzzzzmmm
is unironically his whole dialog in rots

Agreed. Kylo's arc should have been he starts out evil in TFA, then starts wavering in TLJ, and then strikes down Snoke in IX and also being forced to kill Rey because Rey was getting corrupted by Snoke. That would have been an emotionally satisfying storyline.

Basically
>Rey is good in VII
>Kylo is bad in VII
>Rey and Kylo start questioning their ways in VIII
>Rey gets corrupted by Snoke in IX
>Kylo kills Snoke and Rey

They could have even kept the title Rise of Skywalker with it symbolising Kylo's growth as a character and following in his uncle Luke's footsteps as the last remaining jedi

And the jedi roamed the galaxy as its protectors, yes. The jedi were still a myth to Rey

uhmmm the force is FEMALE sweety

Disney would never have their star wars princess become evil

Ah shit my bad. Completely forgot about that. Fuck storytelling. Fuck character arcs. And fuck Disney.

Kylo would transition throughout the movies.

To be fair, you're talking about a galaxy that has a population of over 100 quadrillion humanoids in about 50 million populated worlds(not all as populated as Coruscant). There were only like 10,000 Jedi at the height of the Republic. If you live on some backwater planet and somebody told you about space wizards that could move stuff with their mind, you could believe or not believe it. The chances of you actually seeing one would be a miracle in itself.

somehow

they have the internet (unfortunately)

>5 years later
>the dust has settled
>Disney has regained some credibility because all six seasons of the Mandalorian were fantastic
>announce Episode X
>Somehow Kylo has returned

Okay, JJ. Whatever you say.

They have the holonet, yes, but even then at most you'd read about it or maybe catch some youtube video of a kid floating a rock. Even then people could still be skeptical. Also, Rey was in some shithole of a planet. I doubt she had the time to look up Jedi.

Not defending the poor plot decisions but its understandable how it could happen.

>Disney has regained some credibility because all six seasons of the Mandalorian were fantastic
Well the 1st season turned to shit after 3 episodes.

Okay I believe you

I read about Hitler on the internet but I don't think he was a myth just because I wasn't alive at the time

I know what you mean, man.

It had like two or three filler episodes, I agree. But then I found the last few episodes were really great again

indeed it gave me a netflix production vibe

This is pretty cool.

thats true. i was so busy being a good guy and giving it a chance it only dawned on me... idk , i knew i was not engaging with it, didnt care and not out of being an asshole expecting funny memes in the weeks to come altho its always a silver lining... frankenstein-esque but made with more short cuts than body parts. thats not quite it... wish i had the official insider break down of the fucking thing, like the producer saying "look we were panicking , nobody wanted to be the one to ruin such a massive culturally significant franchise so we wanted to make sure to keep it dynamic and cram as much nice tidbits as we could in there but we didnt know where we were going so that explains how patchy it feels..." . one scene after the other made to extinguish a fire that was mennacing to kill the franchise's vibe with no care for actual story, while keeping things dynamic so people would feel hyped?
its just a flat thing.

Him portraying a camp villain while simultaneously being the moral and literary protagonist of the prequels was quite frankly the only good thing about the prequels. Maybe if Dearth Jar Jar was executed well and he was the Dooku role that was originally intended the prequels might have actually been something instead of schlock

Yeah but you're not an idiot. Also, you can't compare the size of the earth and how information travels to how it would in a galaxy. So yes, the size of things plus Rey being stupid had a lot to do with her actions.

When is he not?

Best part was Kylo and Han imo. It felt like the only scene where shit wasn’t marvelized to hell and back.

I really appreciate that, man. It's rare that people tell Anons they're not an idiot. Thank you.

Why is Han a force ghost now?

Propaganda films has that problem when it becomes too obvious.

THE DEAD SPEAK.
