What an annoying character. Moffat insisting on making the "definitive" doctor who companion for some reason. The closest to "definitive" companions are fucking Ian Susan and Barbara, Jamie, Sarah Jane, and Rose. That's it.

It has Ace, so it's great.

She's the first NuWho companion, was the most beloved one for five straight years, beloved enough to come back for the 50th instead of any other ones, and the first NuWho ep is named after her.

It's a good story with a moody atmosphere. That whole era of Baker gets a little oversold though because people are so nostalgic for it.

It's boring, it's ugly, the ending is dreadful, it completely wastes the Masters, and it dropped the ball on everything the first part set up. Bill as a Cyberman was almost interesting but it never gets there. Capaldi is incredible but that's true of every episode so it's not exactly special.

Never quite got the appeal of Sarah Jane for that matter. Much prefer the Leela and Romana eras.

She was a good actress generally and played an important role as a powerful female character who wasn't a stuck up bitch or an airheaded bimbo.

In comparison, Leela was two-dimensional savage, and Romana was 2smrt4u
