You seem like you're a huge faggot
Since when are Sith powers hereditary?
>not something that just spontaneously occurs out of nowhere.
user, you should've known by now that the Sequel Trilogy never gave a shit about anything. Rey is a Mary Sue. Things just happen for the sake of happening. There's plot holes galore, and any attempt at filling said plot holes creates more plot holes.
You can also asked why C3PO said he was looking at all his friends before going offline. Rey, Finn and Poe are not his friends. The trilogy showed very little interaction with the cast and only in the very last episode do they actually join them on their adventure. Fucking retarded.
Abrams doesn't know how to write a plot, he only knows how to write a scene. That's why this whole movie felt like it had to keep moving so people couldn't have time to question what's going on. Gotta get to the next scene, no time to stop for a moment and let things sink in cause we gotta keep this story going until it's over.
You forget that Rey is the be-all-end-all Force user who can literally do anything without practice. That's why she's such an interesting and relatable character. I mean who hasn't successfully managed to do something without any knowledge of how to do it? I do that everyday.
Who gives a shit about "canon"? Studios never do, they retcon anything and everything for a lucrative idea, so why do fans still bother?
Ironic since he's the one who brought us the line "The force doesn't work like that!" which is the perfect quote for this entire trilogy.
>Or Finn immediately jumping to call Maz, whom he had briefly met on one occasion.
....how would he even know Maz's phone number? He never asked her for her frequency in TFA, plus he was unconscious between TFA & TLJ.
Additionally, Maz's castle was obliterated in TFA, which occurred just one day prior to the events of TLJ. She goes from recovering from losing her home to suddenly being involved in a trade dispute in 24 hours. There is virtually no sense of scale in terms of time passing & world building in the Sequels. Everything just happens almost instantaneously to the necessity of the plot.
I was cool in ROTJ because it showed how powerful the Emperor was that he could fire electricity from his hands. Then it became something anyone could do and the only thing Palaptine would use so it lost its magic. Same thing with the lightsaber. It was cool when it was used sparingly, but when they could do the effect for cheap it lost the magic because they were being whipped out left and right making it look like the Jedi had no restraint and were itching to cut up something like a psychopath.
