Pretty much boils down to this. Harvey initiated the "evil", and he is to blame for pretty much all of it. Could the girls have been principled and said no and left? Yes, kind of. But their livelihoods and careers are threatened merely by Weinstein doing what he did. A refusal of him is basically them ending their careers, and accusing him with little to no proof would go nowhere.
But then, even though Weinstein is guilty, make no mistake: these girls dove in head first and encouraged it because they saw dollar signs. Melissa Thompson encouraged Weinstein.
