Based Armus edition
/trek/
Felis catus is your taxonomic nomenclature,
An endothermic quadruped, carnivorous by nature
Your visual, olfactory, and auditory senses
Contribute to your hunting skills and natural defenses.
I find myself intrigued by your subvocal oscillations,
A singular development of cat communications
That obviates your basic hedonistic predilection
For a rhythmic stroking of your fur to demonstrate affection.
A tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents;
You would not be so agile if you lacked its counterbalance.
And when not being utilized to aid in locomotion,
It often serves to illustrate the state of your emotion.
O Spot, the complex levels of behavior you display
Connote a fairly well-developed cognitive array.
And though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend,
I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.
Previously on Star Trek
>yfw Virgin Friendzone exists
He was an angry fellow.
Not for very long
If Armus dies, will we get a sticky?
Reminder that he was literally an alternate universe form of Barclay hence why he hated women, Riker, and was obsessed with Troi
Rewatching the last episodes of TNG season 1. Conspiracy is one of my favorite episodes of TNG, so creepy and scary. The season finale is underrated too, I like that businessman character.
>Are we still on for hasperat tonight, Commander?
ro should have appeared more desu
Conspiracy is such a great episode but also a great disappointment. They had planned to do more with it as seen at the end when they contact the home planet. They never got around to doing it again, can't remember the reason
Too gruesome + the Borg ended up replacing them as the big imposing threat of the series.
He is truly a shit individual, his orbiters are pathetic cucks, waiting to be fucked over.
IIRC someone posted a few threads ago that the special effects were too expensive and that parasite concept was changed into the borg.
calling it now 1701 is mine no one else try and get it
Who else thinks Tasha would have been a fine character on the show had she stayed for season 3+?
that's Very Faggy
The actor didn't want to, she was doing to play an important role is DS9 if I remember correctly but she said no
very funny
She didn't wanna commit herself to Star Trek. That's why she drops off TNG partway through Season 6. She's that kind of actress, for some reason.
Some actors don't want be associated with a series for too long because, in all honesty, it can be hard to get work when you're seen as a nerdy Star Trek character
Is Shatner the only one to have truly transcended being typecast from being involved in star trek?
Well, she's a damn fool. She could've gotten big stage convention money for the rest of her life instead of trying to hit it big as a crossover actress, something she never accomplished. In hindsight, it was a mistake on her part.
Yeah, some are like that, but others embrace it.
>Shatner
>not getting typecast
Patrick Stewart has had the most mainstream success probably but it's typically the smaller character actors that have gotten work more steadily over the years than anyone else, and in a variety of roles. Quark/Odo have both worked extensively outside of Star Trek as regular actors and voice actors. I'd randomly see or hear Rene in a lot of things, like voicing the crazy German scientist in Archer.
>tfw no TNG where Denise Crosby wasn't retarded and didn't leave the show and ensign Ro was a regular character and Troi/Crusher disappeared forever
Why would anyone want to leech off convention money and sell autographs for the rest of their lives?
Because actors are typically vapid, narcissistic idiots that are only in it for the money and fan worship.
you know the lighting here looks awesome
I used to have one of those, it was garbage.
Rene was absolutely great in Legacy of Kain.
RIP
Yeah, Armin is Andrew Ryan as well. I also remember hearing Marina Sirtis and Michael Dorn in Mass Effect. Voice acting gigs seem pretty sweet to be honest.
Season 2 of TNG and onward was too cowardly to use a flat non-blue color backdrop for a foreign sky.
Anton Yelchin and John Cho and Q's son and Wesley Crusher are relentlessly handsome.
He did fuck us over
Most tv actors never make it out of tv
>Yas Forums - television & film
i mean i know they slapped this villain together but desu it looks pretty good and spooopy too
She was a great character from my point of view
The Hasparat is mine and mine alone
she was a cutie and a good character, it's just sad she dropped off like that
I wasn't being sarcastic, I love the TOS style of "Just slap some rocks and arid plants in front of a different color scrim." It's Iconic and part of the series' identity. To betray that by starting to use real locations, all of which are blue sky'd semi arid or canadian coniferous forest really tones down the feeling of it being a "star" trek.
I mean TOS had some of those too, like the one where Kirk becomes a medicine man, but it felt pretty lame, honestly.

How many times did that stone city set get used across TNG/DS9/VOY?

Tried watching TNG after watching Discovery and Picard, and it’s flat out unwatchable. So fucking boring.
