jimmy came to understand howard. He's a great salesman but a shitty lawyer which is exactly what Jimmy is. Much like Howard needed Chuck to do the difficult casework Jimmy needs Kim. And just like the Howard/Chuck relationship where Chuck was ultimately destroyed Kim is slowly being destroyed by Jimmy.
