Name a single flaw.
Name a single flaw
>everything after season 8
And thats being generous
It's from Bongistan and has a nigger main character
Even worse, he's a scouser
4:3
Not red enough.
Too tall
loved it when it aired but i feel it didn't aged well
They start to run out of ideas in the newer seasons.
It's still one of my favorite shows of all time so I'm willing to overlook that and pretend that it's completely flawless.
7 & 8 were already extremely weak, forced and used either ridiculous or recycled plots.
when the duo was broken, it wasn't the same.
>le quirky low budget bong sci fi
It's nearly as bad as original Who
*ahem*
Yeah thats why i think im being generous not saying 6 and onwards. I actually do like 7&8 but the splitting of Grant/Naylor was exactly what fucked it.
Saddens me thinking of all that wasted time where they thought someone trolling them was actually a Duke or some shit who wanted to finance a RD movie. Jesus Christ.
Everything after season 2
I'm halfway through Season 3. Female Holly isn't as funny.
>never did nudity
Still hurts
I loved every episode until they rediscovered Red Dwarf. Although I did like the fact that the nanobots made it bigger to say sorry for losing it in the first place.
They fucked themselves up the ass introducing Kryton because they didnt need Holly to be smart anymore. Then they fucked themselves again by moving studios so original Holly had to quit the show.
Then they fucked the audience by having the explanation for this shit scroll past the screen too fast to read so nobody had any idea what was happening.
Added to that blowing up their one and only Red Dwarf model with no thought as to what they were going to do next season and im surprised the show was as successful as it was with what retarded decisions were made BTS
>science fiction comedy has 2 great seasons then strings a cult audience along with a half-baked imitation of the old show with a bunch of BTS troubles
The original Rick & Morty
"It's as dead as (seventies fashion reference)"
"Space corp directive 212 clearly states -"
(gets it wrong)
> lister is a slob
> Kryten doesn't understand something
Those space directive lines were only in one season weren't they?
laugh track
Everything after Season Six.
>studio audience
Not the same thing
Season 1-5: Pure Kino
Season 6-12: Pure Garbage
Bam, there's your flaw, inconsistency
Who needs nudity when there are shiny plastic/rubber outfits?
Plebs need to get some taste in their lives.
Oh and Kochanski was totally fine, the writing at that point was the issue
The studio audience creates the laugh track
Those people who are there in the audience? Well their laughter is recorded and called a "laugh track"
How do people still not understand this simple fucking thing? Jesus
6 is good, it's 7 when Rob Grant left that it went to shit
I read the novelisation before I watched the show and was immediately turned off by Lister and the cat
The cast are now doing awful radio commercials for a car breakdown company.
I gather there's a movie coming out too
replacing Holly with a w*man
Sup dudes
Kinda is. 6 was a good spot to end. The length of time between series really hurt it in the end
Kochanski 2
Everything after season 6 fails to capture the spirit of the show. Everything else is gold
Let's go Yas Forums
IT'S COLD OUTSIIIIIDE
THERE'S NO KIND OF ATMOSPHERE
girl holly ruined it for me. that episode where he pretends to be deleted was GOAT
Red dwarf has a few of the nihilist jokes that Rick & Morty used as well. LIke the sapient toaster that contemplates life.
so what is it
I'M ALL ALONE
fuck green hats
Reminder that Rimmer totally gave her one and she like it.
how am i lookin? I'm lookin NICE
AAAAAAAAAAOOOOOW
Series 5 was pure gold and she was the hottest chick I'd ever seen at the time.
better make myself look big
took awhile for me to notice she played Bubble on absolutely fabulous
GIRL YOU MAKE ME TONGUE TIED
TONGUE TIIIIED
Kat was the best character
Rewatched the first 6 series recently and it still holds up incredibly well.
Better than Fawlty Towers. 'Basil running around manically as things go wrong' gets tiresome very quickly.
isn't there only like 4 episodes of it anyway?
6 was my favourite season.
Loved the comfy setting of Starbug.
12 episodes. But they're all so similar and basically have the same jokes/humour, it gets boring pretty quickly.
I never understood why Fawlty Towers is hailed as a masterpiece, Ripping Yarns is way better
My boomer Dad loves FT and says its the best show ever made. Also says he hasn't watched it in decades and isnt bothered about rewatching it.
Methinks he's scared it's aged like shit and will ruin his memory of it
MORE OR LESS
I tried watching this show and it was one of the least funny things I've ever seen, and I tend to like old British sitcoms. The atmosphere was cool and unique for a comedy show I'll grant you that, but otherwise I don't see the appeal.
First series is hit or miss but maybe the type of humour just isnt for you, no problem with that.
It's British
Like the other user said, Fawlty Towers is basically the John Cleese show, everyone else simply exists for him to do his shtick
'Cassandra' was a legitimately solid episode. Not amazing maybe, but by far the best thing to come from the show after series 6.
>Que? Que? Me no speak English.
>Basil hits him.
Doing that bit every episode got tiresome quickly.
The newer Dave series are so bad they make seasons 7/8 look like 5/6. Not sure why so many like them, they're terrible.
Cat is based though.
Fawlty Towers is the archetypal sitcom, extremely well paced, and you have the titty monster Connie Booth. But yeah Ripping Yarns is much better
everything after season 6 sucks
>Fawlty Towers, well paced
Some eps are 33-36 minutes and just drag.
