Looks better now but I say JP is such a masterpiece of the genre that it simply cannot be repeated. A synthesis of visuals and sound, perfect pacing and casting. I can name at least one flaw in The Lost World and that's already enough to put it behind.

I'll give you a couple of reasons off the top of my head
>Wastes Bayona on a shit script
>Weird pacing, felt like a bunch of corporate-approved scenes stapled together
>Retcons the Mosasaur lagoon being isolated in the center of the park to now have a gate that leads directly into open ocean, which even the director acknowledged was a mistake, whilst simultaneously implying a marine animal that huge could survive for 3 years with no one feeding it
>Yet another instance of the franchise distancing itself from the dinosaurs behaving like animals in favor of having them act like moral-driven characters, eating the bad guys and saving the good ones. No stakes for Pratt's group.
>Implying they should risk their lives to save the dinosaurs when they can just make more.
>Everything on the island feels completely rushed in favor of getting to the mainland, doesn't even show any dinosaur capturing besides Blue
>Forced sympathy scene with the Brachiosaurus, at the same time using it as a metaphor for killing off Jurassic Park's legacy
>Mediocre CGI
>Finally introduces Carnotaurus only to have it job to the T-Rex TWICE
>Everything involving the Indoraptor. Everything.
>The little girl being a clone that was supposed to be a shock but ultimately added nothing to the movie

I've never heard anyone say this about III, especially considering how widely the dinosaur designs are praised in the fandom. CGI's a hell of a lot better in III than in the World films.

This probably makes up for half of the bad reception this movie got. They even had to make the spinosaurus much smaller in that last park management game to appease the crybabies.

The argument goes "the T-Rex should have killed the spino with the first bite, how come the spino can kill the rex with his fin jaws?" when the whole point of that scene is to showcase the spinosaurus having to use its arms to break the rex neck.

Then JW comes out, the rex and indo both spend MINUTES biting each other neck and throwing each other around without breaking anything. It then ends with a 50 meter long mosasaurus biting the indo's neck and it STILL doesn't break. But guess what? No one fucking dares to complain about that.

JPIII has bigger problems. It's such a small inconsequential movie with Grant as the only good character maybe because they seemed to acknowledge that he's practically Indiana Jones of paleontology. So comign right after Jurassic Park and The Lost World this movie feels like a straight to tv sequel.

That's my biggest thing about III's criticism. I love the movie but it has a substantial amount of problems that I'd be willing to agree with and discuss, yet smoothbrains can only focus on those two scenes.

I'm still gonna be disappointed if they don't release Dominion at least in December 2021. These movies come out in nice regular intervals. 4 years in the first trilogy and 3 years in second. Let's just get this over with.

Trying to determine which rasptor is the Big One is a pain in the ass. She must be the one we see in the opening, she's probably the one who looks at Muldoon while the other one kills him. In the kitchen she's the one who shows up second (the first one jumps on the tables and gets locked in the freezer) while the third one from the maintenance shack shows up at the end in the visitor centre and is first to be killed by Rexie.

JP didn't have to rely on unique dinosaur characters, because the human characters were well-written and realized

There's a bit of a build up around the leader of the raptor pack and she gets a few meaningful looks during the last chase.

It's not that I want to in good faith, I know that it's highly likely going to be garbage. Like I said, I'm not too excited after how Fallen Kingdom turned out.
JW was at least serviceable and had the potential to at least continue on with something decent, which is what I thought Fallen Kingdom could have been, seeing as how Trevorrow was taking inspiration from old JP games like The Chaos Continues and got Bayona on board to co-direct. Then we got what we got.
Now with whatever pieces they're scrambling to pick up and put together, they're throwing the original cast back in, and I kinda want to see how they'll be represented in this established shitheap they've managed to squeeze out, either to confirm my suspicion that this'll be another way to try to undermine JP's legacy, or be pleasantly surprised. My "want" to see this film is based solely on their inclusion, and how they're stating that this movie is going to tie everything in the entire franchise together, but having just typed that out I can see that I'm probably becoming victim to a sunken-cost fallacy akin to something like Rise of Skywalker, nu-wars and that whole fanbase. I'm not paying to see it, though.
At the very least, I want to see a conversation about raptors between Alan and Owen.
