1st for dukat
>You know that.
That isn't what Data would say. You fucks can't even RP correctly.
Based.
>Are we still on for hasperat tonight, Commander?
The Dubsminion has endured for 2,000 /trek/ threads and will continue to endure long after Sisko stones for his crimes against Eddington.
We sure are, ensign. My quarters. 8 o clock sharp.
I need some coffee to go with these dubs.
Wasn't she a Lt at this point?
Sensors indicate problematic hate speech approaching ITT
Attention Bajoran workers:
Kiras mother is a whore. That is all.
Maybe if you'd actually engage with the discussion at hand sincerely we wouldn't need to resort to something we're less experienced with.
You'll never get ye hands on it
>Wasn't she a Lt at this point
I'm the commander here and I get to decide the ranks. Also, nice Dubsway
>*sprrrrrr*
Which Weyoun was the most based? I'm thinking Weyoun 5
>Dukat
>No long-winded explanation of why he's Uber Mensch and Bajorans should serve him
It's an imposter I tell ya
The one that enjoyed playing dabo and drinking poison.
Shran
Soong's son? Really? That's the best they could come up with?
:)
I liked the one that served the founders
What do you think of Spot 2?
Why did they act like the Weyoun killed in the last episode was going to be the last one ever just because they blew up the Alpha Quadrant cloning plant? They were about to go back to the Gamma Quadrant and would have ordered another one.
Maybe the Weyoun USB was only in that cloning plant?
Wheres lore and Brunt?
Was implied his genetic code was in only in that cloning facility.
>Voyager
great voice and acting
youtube.com
>That's the best they could come up with?
Probably not. I think the problem is they're not actually trying.
No, there was nothing unique lost in the plant, because the Founder even said when she was annoyed at him "tell me when they've rebuilt the plant so I can execute you and get a new one."
Voyager!
Pathetic
I just shared a bottle of kanar...with Damar
>Ripping off Mass Effect
I didn't think it was possible for Picard to be worse than STD, but I've been proven wrong.
So all you need to do to sneak into Klingon space is (barely) speak Klingon and just come up with some lie? And this is the Empire they're afraid of? Yes I know it's another Cold War reference
>I didn't think it was possible
That was pretty silly of you, wasn't it?
>reed alert
Nichols absolutely hated that scene.
Bro, do you know how much flak you get as a comms officer if you make a big ruckus over someone possibly not being who they say they are and force a big inspection and hullabaloo for no reason? Since this is the eternally incompetent Klingon Empire, you can bet your ass the consequence of a calling a false alarm is summary execution.
Choose your adventure Life is Strange: Star Trek game when?
>Bioware came up with the concept of an ancient race killing others to save them from themselves
why's that? She actually got to do something for once that wasn't look pretty. ST5 was awful in that regard.
>You will never sing ancient Irish songs with your Irish friend
>You will never steal Dax from Worf
>You will never be in Vic Fontaine's lounge
>You will never play baseball against Vulcans
>You will never play Tongo with Quark
Why even live bros?
I mean it makes zero sense in like 5 different ways.
>user doesn't understand that modern sci fi writers can only operate on a series of pop culture references
It makes plenty of sense. Bungles like this aren't exactly uncommon in the span of military history.
I like TUC but in hindsight it does get frustrating that Nick Meyer always tried turning Star Trek into his military cold war submarine jerkoff fantasy
Old /trek/ made a whole movie about that.
>Spotfags
Okay, name me 5 more well known ones than Mass Effect in the zoomie mindset. I'll wait.
>JJ killed him
Based.
I personally greatly enjoyed the smaller scale of ST6 compared to all the movies that came before it (except 2 which kept a similar scale mostly). A simple by the numbers military-political conspiracy is a great premise for a movie. It's really a shame that the TNG films were so afraid of doing something of similar scale and type.
Imagine if Voyage home released this year and they went to 2020 to save dolphins.
>I've never watched anything but star trek
That took place like a hundred years later, JJ killed his great great great grand puppy
>why's that?
Are you kidding? It depicted not just Uhura but the rest of the crew as bumbling idiots
So you can't name even one. Gotcha.
fuck dolphins
/trek/ would throw themselves out the nearest window.
6 is vastly over rated
The best parts of TOS were the parts where the crew was allowed to act like bumbling idiots instead of flawless ubermenschen. Something that was sadly lost in TNG and later series. Not being afraid to have your heroes act a little silly at times for the sake of comedy is one of the keys of good writing.
dilate dog-fucked-thot
Why do boomers hate the 24th century so much?
It'd all be memes about Kirk getting raped by dolphins and people asking whether it's a continuity error or whether Cetacean Ops was in fact facilitated by them going back in time.
Terminator
2001
Metropolis
I, Robot
the legend of folk hero John Henry, thematically
Wait a second.
Old Spock was able to give him the fixed version of the transwarp beaming equations because in the future he was from, Old Scotty had finalized them.
Star Trek Picard is following that continuity Old Spock is from, hence the plot about the aftermath of the Romulan supernova.
So why the fuck isn't everyone just beaming across space in Picard?
I'm telling ya it's Lore. The question is why nobody even questioned it. Even getting senile and being obsessed with himself doesn't seem like enough excuse for Picard to not ask follow ups to that bombshell.
t. Spotfag
>So why the fuck isn't everyone just beaming across space in Picard?
Kurtzman doesn't care about small things like internal consistency.
Or if you're going to be autistic about man vs technology and John Henry, there's the entire matrix trilogy
So that's none, is it? Okay, I'll change the parameters. Name me 5 that include a race of aliens that go to eradicate humanity due to that. I can think of a single one that people MIGHT know of. I'll give it to you. The Day The Earth Stood Still and even that is arguably to save the galaxy from humanity, rather than to save them from themselves. So, again, name me some.
You rarely see Uhura doing her actual job and when she's finally shown doing it she's fucking it up.
I mean, the JJ movies are a disaster but at least they made a point of showing Kelvin-Uhura having some proficiency with language, it seemed to be a direct response to that scene.
Could it be that transwarp beaming was retarded even by Star Trek standards?
None of those fucking movies or books have anything to do with the plot of an alien race culling developing civilizations to prevent them from creating synthetic lifeforms, fucking faggot
I was also going to post a list and put Matrix on it.
>You rarely see Uhura doing her actual job and when she's finally shown doing it she's fucking it up.
I don't see where being casually fluent in Klingon is part of a Starfleet comms officer's job. They have universal translators for that.
It doesn't even make sense considering how long Scotty had supposedly gone missing. If Scotty relayed that information to Spock eith he's returned to the Federation or he told it to Spock way back in the TOS movie era.
Also contact, I think I can name ten if I thought about it long enough.
>computer
>upload shovel_dog.avi
Are you retarded or something?
But you can beam across space in older /trek/
What the fuck are you actually talking about now?
>Picard ripped off Mass Effect's whole plot with an alien race destroying lesser civilizations if they start to develop advanced synthetic life
>n-NO YOU FUCKING IDIOTS MASS EFFECT DIDn'T INvent THAT IdEA
>proceeds to post 5 examples of stories that have nothing to do with said concept
>/T-TREK/ BTFO YOu'Re ALL R-RetArDS!
Exactly. The point is that across decades of film, and human history, technology has represented both the end of humanity and evolution. Robots in Picard is hardly a new idea.
The production company is named Bad Robot. Come on.
For it to even make a tiny bit of sense in the original JJ context, I assumed Old Scotty at some got bored of flying around in that shitty shuttle, went back to Earth, looked at some of his old work with the new knowledge/technology available and finally figured out how to do transwarp beaming properly. That way it would be available for Old Spock to know before the supernova and got sent back in time. But in that case, it should be available technology for any series set after the supernova.
Now you think it ripped of the entire plot? Why dont they sue them then?
I present numerical instants from the alpha quadrant - for the founders to consider!
