How much of the games or the book does this story follow in the show. Do I need to play the games to get it...

>Its literally generic end of the world event and 1 girl with super special no one else has powers who can stop it. Thats it. Thats the whole story.
It's almost funny how not a single thing of what you just wrote is even remotely true.

>made with the author’s permission
>fanfiction
He might still be salty that he made a bad deal with the developers but he still authorized this continuation of the story. And the quality of writing is nowhere near fanfic levels.

It was made for people too dumb to play the games or read the books, so yeah. Literally just a dumbed down version of the character and story for the low IQ crowd.

Yes, but the games are still non-canon fanfiction. It very much reads like the kind of shit you'd see as a 3000 word Final Fantasy VII or Buffy fan fiction circa 1999 where they magically bring everyone back to life to have more adventures, complete with seemingly random sex scene between characters that have no business having sex.

>ma generic white light!
>geralt only I can do this!
>story ends
Its funny how butthurt Polishcucks are when you point out the only thing other than alcoholism and high divorce rates poland has exported is a C- ripoff of Tolkien.

I mean that is a very broad summary of the core plot. It’s leaving a lot of detail out but he’s right, the central narrative is ultimately nothing new.

What the fuck are you even talking about.
If you actually read the books then I admire your selective reading comprehension skills.

its no secret that the ending of the witcher 3 was rushed as fuck

Geralt did not canonically die in the books dude. The quality of writing is pretty good, they didn’t bring anyone back to life, and the sex scenes between Geralt and random women aren’t really out of character for him. If you’re referring to the relationship with Triss, the memory thing literally explains this so I honestly have no idea what you even mean.

Ciri is a Mary Sue who holds the blood of Elders and stops the White Frost for utterly no justified reason other than her being the Mary Sue of the story. Hes not wrong at all.
