I was too late bros, I'm sorry
For whoever wanted to get into Big Finish:
I'd recommend just following the Big Finish main range (first 150~ are free on Spotify now) from the start, following the Eighth Doctor range from the start (all pre-Lucie stories are free on Spotify) or the Lucie Miller Eighth Doctor stories (season one is free on Spotify)
Almost done with the 12th Doctor's run. What's the best way to watch the 13th Doctor's episodes?
>What's the best way to watch the 13th Doctor's episodes?
by not doing that
This
Well damnit. Is there a MEGA for those? I didn't even know the latter existed and I thought the former was one of the recons. I found some torrents but they don't seem to be seeded given the age of the material.
By only watching: The Woman Who Fell to Earth, Rosa, Demons of the Punjab, Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror, and the Haunting of Villa Diodati. It's Colin Baker TV run levels of bad. Chibbers is JNT 2.0—though hopefully, unlike JNT, he's not a paedo.
Drunk.
Oh, managed to get Infinite Quest, so it's Shalka that seems to be evading me.
I already saw all of those except maybe the last 2. Does that mean I'm good?
Why would you?
This. Alcohol makes everything seem better. I quite like the Cameron Avatar movie, but after a bottle of Amaretto it becomes the best movie ever and I can't stop grinning and cheering at it.
Both are good just on account of having scene chewing villains—though Haunting has the better actual villain and is a better episode. Tesla gets a pass on account of the villain being the fit access who was Rani on SJA.
let's do this again
reply with whatever you want about a doctor, a companion, the show, whatever, no matter how stupid you think it may be
no one can judge you
daily motion
While supercute, Clara really was a vicious bitch to 12.
Shalka is still hosted on the archived classic series website. It was a flash animation. Fun fact, Jacobi is the Master here, 2 years before the revival and 4 years before he got to play him in Utopia.
I prefer the Moffat run more than RTD's.
danny pink was just fine and the Doctor constantly giving him shit was funny
nice dubs
I really wanted Jamie and Victoria to get a canon happy ending after either War Games or 6B. They deserved it. :(
she was extremely childish in s8, i'm glad moffat stopped writing her like that for s9
I want a new arc starting with the Doctor revisiting his past events without at first realising it. (Ideally he accidentally takes his companion to 2005 Cardiff where the Boom Town crew were having lunch.)
The rest of the Arc revolves around how he is living much longer than a Gallifreyan would, even for a time lord and is having problems with his memory. The Doctor then goes on a nostalgia binge to refresh his memory which gets him caught up with the events of the 60th anniversary special.
When is Chib leaving? I want Doctor Who back.
Lol the niggas name is Chinballs???
I really miss the pond era bros, amy and rory and matt were the comfiest trio
Never.
I prefer the RTD era as a whole, but both my favourite series' come from the Moffat era, and I adore Night, Day, and Time of the Doctor
Eleven fucked Amy , but a silence was in the room so they forgot- and thats how river song came to be. As for the incest that follows..how do we know thats not uncommon in timelord culture?
clara and the doctor, despite being a friendship at its core, made for an infinitely more convincing love story than the marriage with river did at any point
yes, he is taking out decades of repressed anger from the constant bullying on fans
Chinballs is fucking external. He cannot be slain.
I miss these niggas like you wouldn’t believe
when the Doctors actors young and old collectively go to his house and beat him to death
That's not how you spell Jamie, Zoe, and Pat.
Thanks.
C-can someone drop a mega of all 11 episodes
>John Hurt died before he we could get the, obviously planned, Big Finish War Master vs War Doctor showdown
I love McGann to bits, but that should have been John up against Jacobi.
how does that work? the doctor can't see the master or know he was resurrected until utopia
I too would appreciate this.
It's a shame how underplayed Rory was most of the time.
He suppressed memories from The War Doctor. Nine even went back into dressing up as eight just so he could say: "Nope war Doctor never happened, I do not have PTSD." Then broke down in public funnily enough,
>American finds tardis while Doctor is out
>recruits a bunch of historical figures all together to go on adventures
>Moses, Stonewall Jackson, the New York Rangers, Black Dynamite, Sir Francis Drake, Trump, Anne Bonny, Ricky from Trailer Park Boys, etc
>spend years in the tardis saving the world, then he drops it off where he found it
all the best relationships, sexual or not, consist of the other person primarily being your true friend, it doesn't last long without it
I haven't listened to McGann vs. Jacobi yet, but the whole Chameleon Arch thing involved a perception filter. Could, arguably, explain why 10 knew he was the Master without being there for the reveal—recognised after the filter ended/he broke through it.
Holy Trinity of TARDIS teams:
2, Jaime, and Zoe
3 and Sarah Jane
7 and Ace
interesting I guess I can see that
Dreamland aswell
Also
>Not watching them when they aired on Totally Doctor who and BBC red button
He just gets his memory erased in the Big Finish thing
It's possible they used up all their "Why did he forget"s with all their River Song audios, but nobody was happy with it
>"You will be Upgraded."
>"You will survive the pandemic."
Honourable mention to 3 and Liz. I just wish we saw more of her—and that Caroline and Pertwee didn't hate each other off screen. Season 7 was the show's highest point.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Are the River audios worth listening to? I just don't care for the character at all, but I think it's mostly due to how tied she was to Moffat's god awful Series 6 arc shit.
The thing about 9 is technically adjusted canon. It appeared on the old 'who is Doctor Who?' website and this was before the War Doctor.
>his first Big Finish audio wasn't a free copy of The Mutant Phase which came bundled with an issue of Doctor Who Adventures
yea but its not the worst retcon I suppose, War did fuck up a lot continuity wise, it should've been 9 of course but what are you going to do
Yeah they're fun. Especially the ones where she meets the Sixth Doctor (the gimmick is the Sixth Doctor falls in love with her) and the Seventh Doctor (the gimmick is he doesn't put up with any of her shit and she gets really angry about it)
It's basically "What if the Female Doctor concept worked but also she sometimes just kills a bad guy".
The box set with the Fifth Doctor on it has a really nice complicated time travel bullshit story in it.
Speaking of I missed the SaveTheDay bullshit, is there a newfound appreciation of it or did something happen? I read all the Moffat tweets already
As much as I'd have loved for Chris to do DotD—especially with how close he came to doing it—in retrospect, I think I like having him as the Doctor who specifically has to deal with his guilt over the Time War.
Everyone's normal expect Capaldi who looks like he's smoking a blunt while bending over Clara. And he accidentally opened his phone to answer and was caught off guard, and this is the frame before the blunt drops out of his mouths.
I don't know guess people were excited for a new bit, which was just strax actor playing with a strax doll, I liked it but I guess it depends if you like strax or not
>the Seventh Doctor (the gimmick is he doesn't put up with any of her shit and she gets really angry about it)
Fuck me. I'm in.
>tfw this was actually your first audio
I've not got it anymore but I still have the Radio times audiobooks read by Tennant
My money growing up was always spent on DWA, had a mini breakdown last year and bought a back to school one I remember loving that had a Krilitane on it
It should have been 8. 9 hadn't even looked in a mirror since his regeneration during Rose. His regeneration was recent.
Coronavirus rewatch since the UK advice is to currently remain at home. Moffat wrote a jokey Strax intro which made a few light jokes at the expense of Series 12.
Rank the Masters
Stat him, /tg/
Is there any other group of Doctors that are as similar as 2nd, 7th and 11th?
I have an incredibly vivid memory of visiting my great-aunt and uncle in Hampshire one summer—we're up north—and just chilling in my room listening to The Three Doctors on audio. Mum bought me it and one other audio that I can't remember. Also sat in the back lounge watching Earthshock including that claymation special feature. Probably my fondest Who memory.
